An authentic French experience (Jean-Pierre is a French chef) in the heart of Ramsey. I started with Tipsy Prawns, prawns in a butter and wine sauce, which was excellent.
The main course was a special, turbot and queenies (local small scallops) in a lemon butter sauce. It was good but not perfect. Did not realize the turbot would not be filleted and did not feel the sauce was that complex. The chips with the turbot were great, crispy yet thick, and the vegetables for the table were probably the highlight of the course. A nice variety of fresh vegetables sautéed perfectly.
I an normally not a big dessert person but had to try the baked alaska, with a homemade brand and raisin ice cream, it was great.
Also liked the wine selection, many good options including non-French wines.
