Was here last Saturday for a bridesmaid fitting. Our appointment was for 4.30. When we got there,…read morewe had to wait a while to be seen by anyone. My friend was told she couldn't use the bathroom due to security reasons and was told to go to the resturant next door to use their facilities. The girl we were due to see 'Le-anne' wasn't there, we were told serveral times that she was at her own formal and they didn't know why the appointment was made so late in the day. The staff were very rude and unhelpful during our whole experience. They rushed us though the fitting because they were closing at 5 and were reluctant to make another appointment for a time and day that suited us because it didn't suit Le-anne. All in all we were disgusted with the way we were treated and the sheer rudeness of the staff and management involved.

My aunt was getting remarried and was eager to take me along gown hunting for moral support... stepping inside the shop I found it bright, spacious & well laid out. Rows of beautiful gowns hanging that would surely capture any brides heart - however the let down for me was the staff. Was greeted by a slightly older lady whom assuming I was the bride give me an "up/down" glance that indicated my size would be an issue. Once my aunt stepped in and informed her she was the bride an almost instant wave of relief seem to sweep over the lady. My aunt being a neat little size 12 seemed to fit the bill better than a plus size me. After explaining the budget/requirements the lady continiously pointed out gowns that were very heavily above budget - we were about to leave when I spotted an Ivory Bridesmaids gown & needless to say my aunt fell in love with it and was able to purchase it there and then. Otherwise we would have been leaving empty handed as the shop assistant really didn't guide the appointment well at all. Lovely gowns but unfortunately the staff let this bridal shop down heavily - wouln't reccomend it to others with this level of customer service. Parking also an issue.

I don't remember much about the service, but I can say that the stock wasn't really for us. Now the shop is located on Royal Avenue, I go past it on a regular basis on my way in and out of town, and I can still say that it's not for me! I know that everybody has their own taste when it comes to their wedding day, but I simply cannot give more than 2 stars to a shop that thinks it's ok to put a bright orange ball gown bridesmaid dress in the window!

I didn't hold out much hope on first viewing the old fashioned front of the shop but the windows had a nice display and they seemed to have a large selection of styles and colours. Leaving the missus to man the frontline I lurked near the back as is my wont and let her get on with the business at hand. The shop was a bit better inside and seemed to be quite busy with a few brides (plus posse's) trying on dresses and grabbing dresses off the racks. Staff seemed pretty ok though maybe a bit stressed with it being busy and I thought that was a pity as I imagine each woman would've preferred a more personal touch whilst choosing a dress for their big day. After a quick browse it was decreed that this shop wasn't for us and we left. Pros: Big selection. Cons: Staff weren't the most helpful

As she is…read moregoing to be a mother of the bride very soon I wanted to get an idea of the range of sizes, colours and styles stocked here. The staff were friendly enough and they pointed out the new range and told me that there were bargains to be found in the older stock. Everything is just displayed together with all sizes on one rail. I would have found it easier of the dresses were arranged either in colour, style, designer or size. The lady informed me that we would not need an appointment and that they get new stock in all the time. I will call in here with my mum very soon and have another look - there is an order time of several months on some dresses so I would advise you call early if you are more particular. The dresses were lovely and staff pleasant. I will be back.

When choosing my own dress, I also went to other less 'sophisticated' places and were treated better and given more time and space to choose. We were ushered into the private dressing area, with the most gorgeous array of gowns lined up along the wall. The girl helping us was doing her best, but she was quite young and I didn't get the sense that she was confident enough to make suggestions and that she didn't read my friends personality - which I think good salespeople should be pros at. She didn't pick up on the fact that my friend was quite unsure of what she wanted, and was hoping for some suggestions. What I really didn't like was the order that we were only allowed to try on a certain number of gowns....I was really shocked. I had heard that some boutiques do that, but I wasn't expecting it here as the whole look of the place is very professional and glamorous. To be told you only have so many chances to find 'that dress' is very limiting and kind of bursts your bubble. I think anyone who is serious about finding thier dress will know if they've hit the end of the road, and they are hardly going to try on 20+ dresses are they? In other establishments we were offered tea and coffee, soft drinks and even champagne while we waited, but there was nothing like that here, and there was a real sense of a production line, with the next group of brides and bridesmaids waiting hot on your heels to get in. Gorgeous dresses, gorgeous shop. Could do better.
