They took my suggestions and turned it into nothing short of a work of art. I had my downstairs utility bathroom redone. It is a very small room. They were able to transform it from a dark and dingy room into a beautiful and bright Bathroom. Since it is just a utility bathroom, I needed things that would fit the small space but look nice. They did an amazing job finding just the right pieces to go in the room. It is absolutely stunning and it only took them one day to do the entire job. When they left, the place was spotless and all I had to do is stand back with a smile and look at my new bathroom. I was so impressed that I have hired him to do my kitchen remodel next. We are gutting the kitchen and will put in an entire new redesign and layout. I'm so excited.

We recently experienced a fire in our home. It was an unfortunate circumstance, but thankfully no…read moreone was harmed. What was most disturbing was the swarm of vultures who dove in to try and take advantage of the potential Insurance Money associated with the demolition and rebuild project which lied ahead of us. Thankfully, we did our homework, and did not commit to any of the false promises which most of the initial companies were falsely promising. As business owners ourselves, we had high expectations of the type of quality company we were going to entrust in the work required to work on our home. Through thorough research and interviews, we settled on working with Santoro Home Improvements.... and couldn't be happier with the result! Tony was an excellent communicator. He was honest & fair in his proposals & prompt with his replies. He and his team executed their tasks in a punctual manner, and took it upon themselves to review the job upon completion. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with Tony and his Team at Santoro!!

Our experience with Santoro Home Improvements was extremely positive from start to finish. Our plan…read morewas to build a significant addition to our son and daughter- in- law's historic home for us as we were in the process of downsizing. We wanted a contractor in the area of our new dwelling and searched the internet. After several calls we got to Santoro and we had a good feeling immediately. We met with Tony and knew we had the right people for our project. Tony spent time with us and put all our concerns to rest including connecting us to a very capable architect who was equally as nice and kind as Tony. The planning and construction took several months in including Covid but was smooth and orderly. If there were any glitches they were minor and taken care of right away but nothing affecting the big picture. We moved in on New Year's Day 2021 and could not be more satisfied. For us this was a huge undertaking with selling our house, planning where to go next and the move itself. I think Tony realized this and his patience and kindness made this whole thing a lot less stressful than we anticipated. Overall we are all happy and comfortable in our new house and could not be more grateful that we found Tony and Santore Home Improvements. Marie & John G. Hamden,Ct

From start to finish, South Broad did a wonderful job helping us transform our tired entire second…read morefloor- from carpet to beautiful hard wood. We went into the process knowing almost nothing. Mark slowly walked us through the whole process- what types of wood we could choose, coming to our house to do an initial look (free), and then setting up delivery AND installation of wood. The entire process was hands-free for my family. His installers were QUICK (two days!), friendly, and most importantly CLEAN (they left almost no sign they were there!). All the old stuff hauled away, AND they were able to move the big pieces of furniture around while installing! We had one other quote before going to South Broad, and I can say their price was extremely competitive (especially considering they are willing to move furniture).

The words that come to mind when I think of South Broad Paint & Home Center are...just don't. We…read morebegan our renovation in late April and were told it would take between 3 and 4 weeks. Now at the end of Week 9, we are finally able to begin using the kitchen. Our renovation consisted of a new floor, painting of the cabinets and walls, a new countertop and sink, dishwasher instillation, and instillation for 4 new (pre-finished) cabinets. In total, there were approximately 10 days over those 9 weeks when work was actually being done. Yes, you read that correctly. 9 Weeks, 10 days of work...that's 53 days of absolutely nothing! The rest of the time was spent tracking down the so called 'contractor' to find out who was coming to do what and when. After making an $8k payment, we were told the work would begin the following Monday. When Monday came and went without even so much as a phone call, we called to see what the issue was. We were told we were supposed to call when the wallpaper was taken down (we agreed up front to take it down on our end). If this were the only communication issue throughout the project, I would said say it was just a misunderstanding however, this was just the tip of the iceberg! The sub-contractor finally came, and they took up the old tile and laid the new. After a couple of days without a call or email, we had to reach out to the contractor again on next steps. This was the common theme throughout the entire renovation. We had to follow up each and every time with the contractor to get anything done. We also had to advise each of the sub-contractors on what they had to do as they arrived, they were not briefed before they got there. When the carpenter came to install the dishwasher (new to the space), he told us that when the countertops were put on, we'd never be able to get the dishwasher out. The reason for this being that the contractor never told the tile sub-contractor to take out the existing subfloor. Instead, they laid a new one over it raising the floor more than an inch! We were told that we'd have to raise the height of the cabinet to avoid having to take the countertop off down the line if the dishwasher needed a repair. This was something that could have been completely avoided had the contractor advised his team correctly. The contractor then tried to charge us approximately $400 for this work. Nearing the end of the project, it was evident that the ceiling had not been painted. We called, and the contractor said he'd call the painter to 'have him put another coat on'. When the painter arrived, he asked what was needed so we explained (as usual). He told us that the contractor never told him to paint the ceiling!' Every step of the way was nothing but a headache and it was obvious that we were 'small potatoes' for this contractor. The lack of communication and continuing empty promises made this process an absolutely nightmare. I would recommend this company only if you like the idea of being your own foreman!
