I had the cheese curds, and they were so good that I asked for a to-go so I could share it with my family. Someone from the kitchen brought out my order. I said, "Please tell the chef that these are so good that they could be addictive." He smiled and said, "Thank you. I'm the chef." Unfortunately I was not aware that following Yelp recommendations for restaurants to visit included crossing the US border. I was blindly following the Yelp map as it took me to the beginning of the bridge that leaves Canada for the US, which is not even permitted currently. I had spotted Frank's on my drive around downtown, looking around for any sign of restaurant activity, like occupied patios, or a number of parked cars at an establishment. Since there was nothing going on at this Hotel outdoor patio, I decided to keep going. I should have just stopped right there and gone in! There is a free parking lot right across from the entrance to the restaurant, which is at the rear of the building, where you will see the patio. I was seated by my server at the bar which had a TV news channel on to keep me up to date. For lunch I ordered the scallops kebab. It came with a salad and coffee, lots of coffee which was delicious. In fact I drank so much the server gave me a thermos full to keep me going. My lunch blew me away, it was soooooooo gooooooood omg those scallops! The beauty of those tasty morsels hammered home the fact that I was in a seafood paradise. The flavour was so clean and refreshing probably due to the freshness, and each plump scallop was bursting with moisture and so tender so tender so tender and juicy! Along with the scallops, the kebab also had some peppers, which were perfectly cooked and had a nice smoky grilled look and taste that was out of this world good.
