Imagine if you needed to call for an installation issue or repair. He might just avoid you. I even told him when I got him on the phone from my work line that if he couldn't do the job it was okay, just let me know so I can move on. I just think that is a sign of what you might get for a follow up. So my suggestion for improvement is don't be afraid to say that you are not right for that particular job. This was on a Friday. He was supposed to buy baseboards over the weekend and paint them and then install on Monday. It lightly snowed on Monday and he didn't show up. Then Tuesday came and he didn't show up and wouldn't answer texts either. He said he was gonna show up on Wednesday. When I confirmed again, he said it was too stressful and he wasn't gonna do the job and kept the $200. Bad faith dealing.
