This is for the portraits department. I had an appointment scheduled for the studio in NB Aunt due to a structural issue within the studio, my appointment was canceled 30 minutes before we were to arrive. I immediately called the portrait studio within this location and was able to be put in on their schedule for the same day. We arrived a little earlier than our scheduled appointment and the studio was packed, but the system the ladies had going was efficient and they were knocking it out. I was able to get checked in and our session was done in no time. I took my son in for pre-K graduation photos and he gave fake smiles the whole session. The photographer and I laughed about it while we were reviewing the photos and she even offered to redo the whole session. That has never happened before and although my son gave those fake smiles, I declined her offer and wanted to keep them so that I can show him those photos when he gets older, lol. The process from check-in to the end where I selected my favorite poses was seamless and took less time than it did at the normal studio location I go to. I am going to start making all of my future appointments at this location. Worth the drive. read more

This review is for the dismal set up for curbside. Chick-fil-A shares the driveway with JCPenney's curbside pick up. If you know anything about the chaos Chick-fil-A drive-thrus bring anywhere they set up a store, you already know it's going to be frustrating if you go during lunch. JCPenney curbside is behind the Chick-fil-A "drive through" line, so you have to wait for those cars to clear out before you can leave. It's just a really odd/frustrating set up. It would be better if the curbside pickup was at the lower doors where there is plenty of parking. Otherwise, JCPenney's is my go to store for boys clothing. read more

i went to the JCPenney salon and have one of the worst experiences at a hair place I've ever had. so first i told her I wanted a short haircut and showed her a picture and she said no I don't think that will look good how about I just cut 2 inchs. I had to keep saying I wanted short hair and she just keep saying I don't know what I'm talking about that's too short for me and she had a better idea. which made me mad but I was so tired of arguing and I needed a hair cut. so I told her can she atleast cut it to my shoulders and she said fine all looking annoying at me and she didn't even cut to my shoulder it was longer and she gave me layers without even telling me and didn't even ask me where I wanted my part . and then started cleaning I was so confused and then 5 mins later she said see it looks better that way and asked me if i wanted her to dry my hair and I'm already tired at point and then she puts the hair dryer at my head so it feels like it's burning me and I told her it's hot and she said it's ok its not even that hot and I try to move alittle away hut she just moves it closer and then shes done and said see what I great idea I had your hair looks great this way instead and ask to take a picture of me I said her and covered my face cause at this point I just wanted to leave. and the only thing good about this appointment was the girl at the front desk was nice but even she looked surprised and asked me if i changed my mind about doing the pixia hair cut and I just said no but my hair styles said I won't look good with it and she said I can ask someone else to cut it for you and I said no cause I had somewhere else to be and left I still tip cause I know hair styles don't make a lot but I then went to my car and cried alittle read more

I have been going to JC Penny Salon for almost 8 years. I always request Moira Donaldson, she's been with them over 20 years and is one of their master stylists. I'm a retired hairdresser and I specialized in haircuts so I do know what a good haircut is!! If you want a great haircut see Moira! Even after all this time she still takes time to sit me in the chair, prior to the shampoo and review what I want. I have a issue when a stylist doesn't listen to what the client wants. I ended up with a nice style & color with over processed highlights. The issue is its three shades darker than I wanted...highlights over processed. When I expressed concern about the overprocessing (50 min with chemicals and they never checked progress) she had the nerve to be offended. telling me how they know their job. She rinsed out the color with two full shampoos...scratch & massage scalp. My head was on fire! note: ((My hair was cut in a bob 5-6 wks ago with full foil @ $130..this was a touch up visit...so i thought.)) After the coloring issue, it was then trimmed. or shaped up. Stylists even tried to argue when I wanted the back shorter and my bangs shorter. Root touch up... 1/2 caramelized or minked $170. simply crazy! read more

This has been my worst commercial experience in 30 years. Purchased a mattress, received the wrong product. Could not replace it without paying for the replacement mattress. I did so and told the credit would be back on my card in two weeks. After a call every month now for 3 months I am told it will take 6 months to get my money back. It is over $1,200. People... never purchase from this business again. I am going to have to take them to small claims court to get my money back. read more

I went to JCP 6/12/17 to exchange a pair of junior jeans for my daughter. I notice I didn't have my receipt but I knew they could found it by my credit card transaction history. They called a so call manager name (Norma) she was extremely rude and didn't even try to look for the transaction that way and try to give me $2.28 for the jeans Beto didn't have my receipt and I paid $42.82 , I also notice they had a sale where u buy one pair of jeans for regular price and get the other for a penny. I asked her I want a full refund, and want to buy the size of jeans I need for my daughter, plus another jean for penny. Norma ( manager) was so rude and said I need to pay again for the second pair of jeans $21 and then I can get the jeans. But I had already paid $42 bucks for the jeans I returned. She continued to argue with me and didn't make things better and still didn't even look up my method of payment I used. I asked to speak to someone else hat could make sense out of this situation, finally someone else came ( can't remember the other manager name) but very very nice lady) she looked up my method of payment and I was able to return pants and get the other pair as well. She did apologize for Norma's behavior and said she will talk to her as well. I did advise he to was going to make a complaint and a bad review as well. I just can't stand when I get poor customer service if your job is a manager your supposed show great customer service not escalate the problem.. read more

Nice clean department store but high prices.

I love JCPenney. Love it. They have clothes that fit me. I love their cable knit sweaters and their fleece made for life tops. I get these EVERY year for my birthday and Christmas. I buy my pants for work at JCPenney. The brand is Lee and I wear the relaxed fit all day pant. This way I am comfortable no matter the weather. They are a little light for winter days, but perfect for spring and fall. In the summer I wear the St. John's Bay capris. In winter I wear the St. John's Bay corduroy. The only thing is that JCPenney went though changes a few years ago with their previous CEO, who I thought lost his mind. JCPenney was becoming a store for kids and teens, not full grown women. And I think that a lot of women like how they brought back St. John's Bay. I read more

I was in San Antonio on a visit carrying for a sick family member. Since I've visited the Sugar Land location on several occasions I felt quite comfortable calling this Salon located at 6909 NLE 1604. However, when I arrived for my confirmed 6:45 p.m appointment I was initially ignored until I asked if anyone was manning the front desk. When I said that I have an appointment the person looked at me as though I was an alien. Then I was advised that she needed to get the manager. The manager then advised me that the person that was to do my hair was still bleaching someone's hair and would be tied up for another hour. He then said I could look and see that they were tied up. My response was that was not my issue since I had a confirmed appointment. It was quite evident that my ethnic hair was not welcomed at this location. I immediately walked out and will NEVER return. read more

Thought I would give JCpenny Salon a 2nd try. My appt. was at 4:10pm and I was out the door at 4:32pm. The young girl spent more time washing and blowing drying my hair then she did cutting it. It wasn't until after she washed it did she ask me how I wanted it cut. It's not like they were busy. I asked her and she said it was slow all day. I saw one other customer in there the same time I was there. I would be more then happy to give her name, but she didn't tell me her name. After the shampoo, some what of a cut, blow dry and style she asked me if I liked it. Well I told her it was hard to tell since SHE styled it the WAY she liked not the way I like it. Well JCPenny Salon, I gave you a 2nd chance after a 3 year leave from the first time you messed up. I won't be giving you a 3 chance. For the price I paid, I would have been better off going to Fantasic Sam's or Supercuts! read more

I visited the Rolling Oaks Mall location, for a wash, hair trim and blow dry. 1st they did not have me down for the correct appointment time, but a male stylist Angel volunteered he was available. He trimmed my hair while it was dry, then shampooed my hair scrubbing my scalp abrasively, then proceeded to burn my scalp and hair during a 30 minute blow dry! My scalp was irritated and burned from the rough hand wash and the HOT setting on blow dryer. I strongly recommend speaking loudly to your stylist if you encounter ANY abrasive hair styling. I verbally complained 4 times and I continued to pull away from him because the dryer was too hot and burning my head, but obviously he did NOT care!! I did not realize until I started experiencing burning and itching as I left the salon that my scalp had been burned. Unsure I will go back to this location. It's been 3 weeks and I'm still battling scalp itch and burn. I've always taken careful care of my skin and hair, but 1 visit to a careless stylist scarred me. Patrons be aware!! read more
