JCPenney, THIS specific location in particular, holds a special place in my heart. As a youngster, I grew up back to school shopping here at the Red Cliffs Mall. One memory stands out above the others-thumbing through the catalogue and ear marking the items I wanted to try on. There was a plaid ever-so-'90's" swimsuit that I fell in love with and was able to get at this store. I still remember that suit.... Anyway, this store has remained pretty steady over the years, although the fashions that it holds have varied as trends come and go. No, JC Penney isn't the trendiest, most fashion-forward store in the land, but it's reliable and has the stuff I'm usually looking for. On a recent visit, I interacted with two separate floor attendants-one of whom was helpful and friendly and the other who was incredibly annoyed with the customers and their untidy dressing room habits. While I can't blame her for being annoyed, it came across as unprofessional-especially since I was not contributing to the problem, I just happened to be entering the changing room while she was picking up others' abandoned clothing. I'll still make it a point to stop by when I'm in the area and need a little nostalgia in my shopping experience. Especially around swimsuit season. read more

Genuinely the worst place to go to for jewelry or even just to send in jewelry to get fixed or replaced. I had sent in my ring months ago and have still yet to get it back. I paid over $1300 for that ring and even got coverage and everything and they still get upset when I even just ask for an update on it. I was supposed to have gotten it on the 18th it is now the 26th. definitely don't recommend buying from them. read more

If I could give it zero Stars I would. JCPenney is supposed to do price matching if you find something someplace else. The clerk that I brought my receipt to said no they don't do that and she got another woman named April to come and help. I purchase three items that were $50 a piece at JCPenney and I found them online for $25 a piece a blouse I bought was also on sale at JCPenney online. Miss April wanted to argue with me and wanted to see an ad and wanted to know that I purchased my new items at the same time and the same date that I bought the ones from JCPenney's. By the time I was done getting yelled at I was so frustrated with her and I returned all my items. The store is horrible everything that's in the store you can get online for half price. There's no way you can get a hold of a store manager or anyone in administration to make a complaint. Do yourself a favor don't go to JCPenney. read more

Just went in and walked around the store went to walk out and they locked customers in the store wouldn't open the doors because they are closed and can't let their customers out. Didn't even make an announcement after they told us they did. 5 of us customers asked to be let out and as soon as they told us no. Shut all lights off and then made the announcement saying they are closing. How rude is this town going to be !?! If this is how to mall is going to treat their customers count me out. Re: JC Penney Salon -- I've had my hair done here a number of times by Kim D. She was efficient, friendly, and very knowledgeable about my hair. Every time I've been to Kim she has delivered what I've asked for and I've left feeling happy and confident with my new style. She always listens to me about what I want, gives useful feedback, and starts an easy conversation about upkeep, and maintaining the style I want after I've left the salon. I would recommend Kim at JC Penney salon to anyone! read more

This is the smallest Penny's I've ever seen, the selection is crap, the clothes are hideous and just all over...its terrible. A few bright spots though: the men's department (not junior men's, men's) is okay, 'livable' would be the word. The lingerie section is again passable but barely. The salon is on the same 'meh' level. However: every time I've been in here (because I've been forced to go by family) the staff is truly fantastic. In all departments (except men's...go figure) they're quite helpful, courteous and kind. The salon is particularly so and despite fears that they couldn't be that good based on how crappy and small this Pennys is, they cut my sister's hair and did a fantastic job. The other day when in my niece accidentally broke a coffee pot display, something she cried and felt bad for. I squirmed nervously feeling guilty and like a nuisance, sure they'd give me that 'control your damn kid' look and possibly make me pay for it. Instead the three women who helped us (and I have no clue what department they were generally in) were very kind, very understanding, and didn't demand a thing. If Penny's corporate could make the quality and quantity of clothing less shitty I'd shop here based on the customer service alone. They are really outstanding. read more

I love the selection of clothes is all the departments. I love the deals that I have gotten on my husband's clothes. I wish the little girls clothes weren't so pricey! And I wish that I didn't have to shop the sales to get a good deal on everything. I hate playing sales games! Otherwise, the staff is friendly and the store is well organized. Also, JC Penney really needs to address their HORRIBLE bathrooms! I've tried to use them on several different occasions... They smell!!! One time the faucet would not shut off. This last time the handicap stall was not in working order and some lady was pooping... So I had to go to another store to use the restroom. read more

Hi, My review is for the Sephora Grand Opening this morning. Sephora did not have it's own Yelp page but since it is inside part JCPenny it is associated with them.... So I feel the event was poorly planned and managed! I am a mom of 2 small children but still arrived several hours before to get a spot for the 100 gift cards being given out. I am already a Sephora Beauty Insider, originally from California who had to go to Las Vegas for nearest Sephora since moving. So imagine my excitement when I found out St George was opening one, even though on a smaller scale. Thats ok, I was still excited! But 1st complaint, I received my Grand Opening notice via email from the Red Cliffs Mall itself and NOT from Sephora. There was no information on where to line up. So when I arrived outside JC Penny door, I was there with about 5 other confused people in their cars not knowing if we were the only ones. So since I had my 2 little ones, I stayed in the car for a little bit. Once I went up to the door, there was a small paper on door saying to go in thru another entrance. Once I got inside actual mall, I found out I was safe! My place was in the 90's and I was ok! Well no!.... 2nd complaint: So many people were cutting! Everyone's excuses (yes I did speak up) was that they were just "keeping family company and why cant I just sit here with my sister?" Well because its honestly not my responsibility to babysit and make sure all those people get back out of line when the door opens. Not fare to all those people who tried hard to get one of those 100 spots. Sephora should have given out 100 tickets to those people when they arrived. They also should've had staff watching. They made sure to have employees come out for pictures, sign them up for the Beauty insider and for a credit card. They could've spared a few to monitor the line. I'm disapointed and thought me showing up with my little ones was a waste of time. And I came prepared with tablets and candy for them. A mommy being prepared is HARD WORK!!!! I didnt shop much at Ulta before moving to St George, have always been a California Sephora girl, but my experience has been much better at Ulta plus I have way more coupons from them. So nothing encouraging me to go back to this Sephora. Not worth my time.... read more

So apparently if you're in JCPenney after close at 8pm they will lock you out of the rest of the mall! I had just walked in didn't realize they close earlier then the rest of the mall.. when someone came on the intercom saying the doors where locked expect one which went to the outside.. (I still had shopping to do) and then before I even left lights were being shut off. Decent store. Slow as can be workers. OMGosh I don't think these people could ring slower. I was told it was their computer systems but, geeze! It's the 21st century people!! Came here semi against my will on Thanksgiving Thursday. Wasn't gonna shop on that day, don't care about deals but, everyone in the house was going so I went. I did get a 60$ pressure cooker for 10$ with a 10$ rebate. It was quite amazing! My boyfriend a free polo style shirt with his 10$ voucher. We had a good time and only spent about an hour waiting in line and checking out but, it was all good I guess. As usually everyone was pleasant cuz we are in St George, not where I'm used to in California. So I did appreciate the more hospitable environment of this particular store. read more

There hair Salon is the worst . How they can get away with charging $120 for a color and haircut is beyond me . For that price I should not have to pay to go somewhere else and have it fixed . They turned my hair orange and no one believed I got it professionally done by the way it looked ! I have done better doing it myself . So disappointed paying that much and hating it! I will give them credit though the lady did come in and try to fix it the next morning but it still was awful looking . For the prices they charge go somewhere else or you will be paying a lot for unhappiness . read more

I bought some T shirts at this store and one of them was falling apart at the seams after one wash. So I took it back to the store for an exchange and was told they would not exchange it unless I brought back all the shirts. The manager said he didn't want to open a new package for one shirt. I guess that's the last shirt or anything else I buy from them. read more

The store itself needs an update. I am looking forward to the new makeup section. The best part of the store is the salon. I have Kim cut all my special needs kids hair. She is the best at working with my kids and their peculiarities. I have tried other places - but no more. I would never go anywhere else. read more
