Their quote was literally double the other quotes I had gotten and the markup on some items was ridiculous. The furnace model was listed on the quote so I looked it up and they were charging me nearly 5x what it cost. And it isn't like they were rolling in labor or other parts because everything was itemized. In the end, I went with a different company who did great work for half the price Halco wanted.

Finally called plumber at Brown's in Waterloo. I wanted to keep the work in my area. They called right back on a Sunday and came right out to check the situation with the plumbing. He end up doing some work In the basement and fixed some things, then ran snake after snake before he decided it was a pipe on the outside in the ground! They came bright and early the next day ( after he gave us a idea of what it was going to cost). They called and had the utility companies come and mark everything out. They dug the area, fought with rocks and slug and items that should never be flushed, pulled the old pipe, dug some more, and replaced the pipe with new. Filled in with cement, stone, refilled hole with the sod. It did not look like an easy job to say the least. My husband supervised as they worked and said they did a wonderful job. They were polite and they all spoke softly including the big hole digger! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Professional and they did a Great Job. Thanks for there swift action I have my bathroom back!

Within 15 minutes I got a call back and described the problem. It was evening, I told them I could wait until morning and the person on the phone said " we have one in stock and will be over first thing in the morning." Sure enough, the truck pulled in bright and early and an hour later, I had a new water heater. Doesn't get much better than that.
