Took Phil just over an hour to clear the clog. He gave me the option to have him stop or continue and snake and clean out all the issues in the sewer line. Phil expressed how bad the sewer condition was in as we didn't think it was ever cleaned in the 97 years our home has been here. The person who came out was personable and charming but that's the only good thing I can say about…read morethe company. It took weeks to get a written quote after he had been by. I asked if we could discuss a few things on it and the he kept saying he'd call but never did. I tried calling him a few times but eventually gave up. Part of their sales pitch is that they come out for emergency calls for their customers and how there's always someone available but if they can't even call me back to get a project started then why would I believe they'd actually show up when I needed a repair? Their quote was literally double the other quotes I had gotten and the markup on some items was ridiculous. The furnace model was listed on the quote so I looked it up and they were charging me nearly 5x what it cost. And it isn't like they were rolling in labor or other parts because everything was itemized. In the end, I went with a different company who did great work for half the price Halco wanted.

We had a issue with everything in our bathroom backing up and flooding. My husband snaked the pipe…read moreand it lasted for about a week then backed up again. Finally called plumber at Brown's in Waterloo. I wanted to keep the work in my area. They called right back on a Sunday and came right out to check the situation with the plumbing. He end up doing some work In the basement and fixed some things, then ran snake after snake before he decided it was a pipe on the outside in the ground! They came bright and early the next day ( after he gave us a idea of what it was going to cost). They called and had the utility companies come and mark everything out. They dug the area, fought with rocks and slug and items that should never be flushed, pulled the old pipe, dug some more, and replaced the pipe with new. Filled in with cement, stone, refilled hole with the sod. It did not look like an easy job to say the least. My husband supervised as they worked and said they did a wonderful job. They were polite and they all spoke softly including the big hole digger! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Professional and they did a Great Job. Thanks for there swift action I have my bathroom back!
