This is a new studio in Brampton. The owner and dance coach is knowledgeable, kind, and honest with…read moreparents and students about students progress. The programs are different from other dance studio. The best way to describe the program is there is a non-performance and performance stream. The differentiator from other dance studio is that student in the non-performance stream (yes they participate in the year end show) are in the same class as those students in the peformance stream and they choose the style of dance they want to study, while the performance stream student has mandatory classes they must train in; It is like giving them a dance company experience. Also, the classes are determined by skill not age. So all students are given the same exercises with individual progress goals. I am not sure how the owner does this but it is amazing how the students, based on their ability, progress including picking up and retaining choreography. The studio is organized and it is a fabulous environment of learning and support from parents, students, and the owner.

The lady in charge, Cristina Amalia Dina, can teach any dance, either American or international style; and she is assisted by another lady who also knows her stuff. The guests can request particular dances (e.g. fox trot, west coast swing) and the music will be provided. I remember one occasion when we practiced five different dances in the space of one hour. When I leave Dance Art I always feel happier. But don't take it from me! Try Dance Art for yourself and you won't be disappointed. P.S. Age is no barrier. I first took dance lessons when I was 81; now I am 90 and looking forward to more dancing after the pandemic.

If that wasn't enough, the CD skipped and 3 out of 4 songs couldn't be played/danced too - to say it was embarrassing with high level VERY important guests there is an understatement. The dancers themselves were ok. I was furious and they only gave us back half the money. I honestly would have given them the full amount to stay home. Yes, it was that bad.

I've been banging around in the local music scene since i was 15 years old. I know bands, I know music gear and I was 100 % satisifed with this musical purchase, trust me I have a lot of Fender's and Gibsons... It was essential for us to hire a band as we had been to so many weddings that had the standard DJ and it's... it's... not good. Humans need to make music to REALLY get people to GROOVE. The same old thing was not going to do our wedding. We sifted through over 65 demos and Stereoflavour was the pick of the bunch. Great website with good demos. Our venue so happened to have an excellent stage and lighting rig. We wanted to make sure everyone had a great time dancing and having fun. Stereoflavour provided in spades. Their youthful vigour and sweet harmonies had butts'a'shaken all night long!! In my circle of friends, we would refer to a band like this as "tight". Always on the beat, playing very danceable versions of all our favourite songs. The Drums and Bass were always on point, pumping the grooves and keeping that ever so precious meter always steady and right 'there'. Soulful Sax played with great attitude mixed with tasteful guitar licks. Clean male harmonies splashed in and out, as he really laid some sweet Strat tones. That fully layered approach to their presentation really makes the songs pop. We were very impressed with the 2 female lead vocalists, as they put down some of the finest melodies and harmonies that thrilled my music loving friends and family. It was spectacular. All of their equipment was of great caliber in terms of sound quality and appearance, no metal shredder stuff that might offend. The volume was under control, our venue is a performance space so it naturally lent it's acoustic brilliance. It helped the music flow without any annoying echo! With 3 lead singers, 2 female and 1 male, keyboards (complete with Keytar for you music nerds!!) guitar,bass,drums and killer saxophone player we got a great show and huge response from the audience/guests! The energy from the dance floor was being shared on the stage and we were all rewarded with an awesome night! Stacey was brilliant to deal with. Professional, on time, and kept a very open communication with us. She was reliable and We got exactly what We paid for. The best Toronto cover band for the best price. She really did deliver and She is a phenomenal singer and keyboard player. She gives Jordan Rudess a run for his money (If you know who that is, then you know...She's "that" kind of good :) We would never hesitate to recommend this group. Ladies and gentlemen, you don't have to go to Andalucía to train for your dance- you can just come to the Danforth. We are so lucky Toronto. Maria passionately teaches us to put everything out there, to leave all fears behind and go for it. She works extremely hard, sings her beautiful tunes, and guides students at all levels. This is from an older daughter / dancer. They are also unfriendly to parents as well. The owners are much, much worse! If you bring a problem to them they get VERY defensive. They make you sign contacts to attend functions, and camps; and keep your completions costumes hostage until you pay at huge "by the way here it is!" invoice. Oh and the makeup.....I will post another about the makeup soooon:) Just getting my ducks lined up for this one.....:) Two stars was because my daughter made great friends.....thank you other parents!! The owners of the business are a family that are friendly and go out of their way to make it a fun and positive experience for the children. As a child who went to dance myself I am very pleased with their teaching and technique. When I researched schools in the area I found their prices to be comparable if not better than some of the schools out there. I have to say I totally disagree with the previous review, probably a disgruntled dance mom under an alias name. If I could give an example of the character of the staff, I once sent my mother in law with my daughter to dance and the weather became so bad the taxi I ordered for them did not show up, one of the owners drove them home for me. Needless to say, I feel this is a great school with great people running it. Best is to go in and see for yourself.
