My 2017 Outback Touring 3.6R is getting older, and the paint had taken a beating from too many lazy drive-through car washes. I called three local shops for quotes on paint correction and ceramic coating, and prices were all over the place--from under $1,000 to well over $1,500. My paint had started to oxidize on the tailgate, and the whole car needed a serious clay bar treatment to remove tree sap and other buildup. When I called Shine Coat and spoke with Brandon, his knowledge and straightforward attitude stood out right away. His quote was fair, so I drove over for an in-person inspection. Brandon used a digital gauge to measure the paint and clear coat, walked around the car, and recommended paint restoration with a one-year ceramic coating--exactly what I needed within my budget. Both Brandon and the other shops offered pricier tiered packages that lasted longer, but Brandon's honesty and easygoing professionalism gave me confidence. After a day and a half, I picked up my car--and wow. It looked incredible. Brandon even called during the job to ask if he could take an extra day because the oxidized paint needed more attention. I told him to take his time, and I'm glad I did. When I arrived, my Outback looked like new. The paint gleamed, the interior was spotless, and every trace of dog fur (thanks to my border collie) was gone from the cargo area. As I was about to pay, Brandon casually mentioned they had also "done the headlights." I turned around to look, and sure enough, they were crystal clear. I'd restored them myself a year ago, but his results were far better--factory-fresh clarity and shine. If you want someone who genuinely cares about doing a top-notch job, call Brandon. He never try to upsell me as he provided the different packages with different price points I can select from. I had some experience with XPEL PPF as I have it on my car since 2014 and it lasted. Chico was very easy to talk to, never has he made me feel stupid for asking questions. For me I want to know the people I hire to work on my wife's car will spend the time to do it right the first time. Yes there is always a cheaper place, but I believed I am paying for the skill and their time. My wife and I valued their time because it took several days to install the above mentioned. Chico and his team are very professional, I even stop by the day before to check on the car. All the things I requested to be done on the car was done, which was a lot.
