I truly don't understand how this location continues to offer mobile ordering and curbside pickup…read morewhen they appear to have no idea how either works. For context: I live in Cecil County, about 35 minutes away, have a fussy toddler who hates being removed from her car seat, and I'm also dealing with a recent injury. That's why I place mobile orders. I also like to confirm items are available before committing to a 70-minute round trip. This should not be a controversial concept. Every. Single. Time. I place a mobile order at the Chestertown store, there is an issue, always involving the same young gentleman at customer service. The routine goes like this: * I check in on my phone * I wait 15+ minutes * He finally comes outside and asks if I actually have an order * Asks my name * Goes back inside * Comes back out and asks what I'm here for * Returns inside again and eventually brings out my item after nearly 30 minutes of waiting in total Tonight was the final straw. After waiting an extended period of time, I was told that they didn't have an order for me, despite the fact that I had: A confirmation number An email saying my order was ready for pick up Email reminders telling me to pick it up by 1/1/26 Turns out they've apparently been out of pelletized bedding since earlier in the week. Information that would have been helpful when I ordered on Monday. When I asked why I never have issues at other Tractor Supply locations (Middletown, for example, is flawless), the employee was extremely rude and actually suggested that I should just go to the Middletown store instead. Incredible customer service strategy. I then called the store to speak with a manager and was routed to the assistant manager, who informed me that: * The system would "eventually" refund me * He would not process a refund himself * He would "talk to" the employee * No other solution was offered That's it. That's the help. I typically purchase 200-300 lbs of chicken feed per month on top of bedding, cat food, etc., but I'm done wasting my time, gas, and patience here. I'll be switching to Chewy, who somehow manages to understand inventory, communication, and basic courtesy. If you value your time, rely on curbside pickup, or expect employees to know whether an order exists before asking you three separate times, go to literally any other Tractor Supply location.

In November 2022 I purchased a pump for approximately $129. With 2 year protection plan that starts…read moreafter the 2 year mfg warranty. November 2023return non-working pump to be told I never purchased the plan and no warranty. Purchased 2nd pump Nov 2023. With one year warranty to start after 2 year warranty. Returned non-working pump April 2024. Was told I had no purchase history and the receipts and service plan was lost. Called protection plus, and received both dates of purchase. TSC could not locate still. Mgr Kristi was insisting that I must repurchase the protection plus plan, I had yet to ever use. That didn't make sense, but she at least returned this one pump. I then contacted corporate. In under 48 hours district mgr Alex strange reached out, and listened to my issues, and offered me a simple solution that made this all better. A full refund of both pumps and protection plans. He as well made sure I saved his number for any further needs. Huge shout out to both Geoff and Heather, they truly are awesome folks whom enjoy helping customers and have a wonderful personality. Thanks again Alex. Mgr Kristi has a few improvements to make IMO as a gm. With customer relations and understanding TSC policies. Otherwise this would be a 5 star.
