Hello Yelpers! I'm a…read morelong time commuter and first reviewer for the Blue Line Del Amo Station. The line travels from Long Beach to Downtown Los Angeles. Monday through Friday the train runs on schedule. Expect to wait about 12 minutes in between stops. Compared to the rest of Asia such as Seoul, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, the trains in terms of comfort, speed, and reliability are stuck in 1989. Most recently due to Metro's attempt to update their railways and cars, most construction is done on the weekends. So expect delays or to not even arrive to your destination without taking a couple of buses. Despite the issues, I still ride the train, because I have a nostalgia for trains as they remind me of Hong Kong and Seoul and it beats paying for parking. Pros: 1. $1.75 to travel anywhere from long Beach to Downtown Los Angeles. 2. You don't have to drive. 3. Able to bring your bicycle. 4. 55mins to get to Downtown Los Angeles and 20min to Downtown Long Beach. 5. You're able to park your car at the station for free. I've had no incidence yet. Cons: 1. Stops are frequently off schedule. 2. Stations are located in inconvenient locations. 3. Not so clean. 4. Trains are slower than expected for the most prosperous state in the country with a high population in LA County. 5. Trains break down frequently. Happy riding!

MAX is actually part of the Torrance Transit sytem but riding these buses is such a different experience from most Torrance Transit and other buses for that matter. The MAX buses (www.maxbus.com) operate from San Pedro to El Segundo, traveling through Manhattan Beach, Lomita, Palos Verdes, Hermosa, Carson, Gardena and Lawndale. They don't run as often as I'd like them too, but they are the cleanest buses you will ever see. Comfortable cushioned seats-i've never seen seats like these on a bus - with reading lights-unfrickin' heard of in LA, no crappy i pissed on the seats smell to them either-Big Blue Bus please take note of this. MAX BUSES TO LAX: Take the #2 bus to the Aviation Green Line Station and hop a free 'G' bus to the Airport. I take this bus from time to time. I had a morning class at El Camino one summer; I was expecting to ride the Torrance #5 bus but no, a MAX bus came instead. I asked if this bus makes a stop at El Camino. She said with the most cherriest tone I have ever heard from a bus driver, "Yes! Hop on!" Wow. Never met such an enthusiastic driver! I took this route for the entire Summer school. Sometimes I'd miss the bus coming while I was reading my morning papers and they'd stop and wait for me. Then I'd say, "Oops! Sorry for taking so long, but thank you for waiting!" Wow. Another time I was so tired in the morning from waking at 6am (I'm a late & heavy sleeper) I'd nod off to sleep, then fall asleep right on the bench. The driver was nice enough to get off the bus and stroke me on the shoulder, so gently waking me up... unlike my actual mother who'd would pull the covers and slap me awake... Sometimes in the afternoon, I'd go straight to my friend's house in San Pedro from either the School or from my usual transfer point at Crenshaw & Pacific Coast. However there is a downside. It only operates in one direction per day. North bound in the morning then South bound in the afternoon.

They went high tech and "WHALLA", the TRANSPONDER came into use. For those not familiar with METRO EXPRESS LANES & Transponders, it's simply a modern & efficient way of letting Drivers use Toll Roads, Diamond Lanes, HOV LANES, Toll Bridges, etc., w/o the need to stop at a TOLL BOOTH. On the Metro Express website*, you can open & establish an account*. You will be sent a small electronic transponder that mounts on your (front) car windshield. Once set up, the transponder will keep tract of your usage, when you are in express lanes, toll bridges (etc) and won't need to worry. NOW, about yesterday, we were driving a Loaner (car) as our car was in for routine maintenance. We drove to Orange County but forgot we weren't driving our regular, transponder equipped car. JWe wound up using express lanes two or three times, but came to realize we had no transponder. That was yesterday. Today I called Metro Express Lanes and a beautiful voiced girl answered my call. Her name was (is) Kaliyah. I explained the issue, about not having my transponder, etc. She listened patiently, while my mouth was going off. When I was done, she (very professionally) already had the solution to what I could expect, for using the express lanes without my transponder. She was very precise, courteous, patient and kind, as she detailed what could be done, Well needless to tell you, Karliah subdued my anxiety and guilt, faster than You can spit! I was trying to pay an account under my hubby's name, which has a credit card linked for auto pay, so we didn't realize when it went to negative balance, locking us out of online account to see what the problem was. So I had come by the office to pay. But it turns out if the if you're not the main account holder, you better be added, as an authorized user, to do anything on or for the account. They explained this to me, and I understood. I called my hubby, who was in a meeting and could not call in to add me as an authorized user right away, so I had to go back home. But they were still nice to me and I left making sure I shut the door gently behind me. I've come here a few times when things couldn't be solved online and each time, whether I get my issue solved or not, I feel treated kindly and fairly, which is everything I can ask for. I come mid mornings, and there is almost no wait either, and plenty of easy parking with easy access to the office.

Great for getting to either of the Cerritos malls (Los Cerritos or Towne Center), a park, the senior center or to the library at the civic center. Fifty cents will get you anywhere and you'll always have a comfortable place to sit as they rarely get crowded. I find the bus drivers to be very friendly and personable - they give up a smile very easily - and from my experience they make safety a priority. Timetables and routes are available on the city's website (cerritos.us) or you can pick up a copy at city hall.

The buses were recently upgraded to the one you see in the picture via federal grant monies. The buses run on natural gas, so they offer a more environmentally friendly form of public transit. The fare for a single trip anywhere in Cerritos is $0.50. The buses also offer monthly passes for $20.00. They have essentially two routes going in opposite loops around the city (meeting at the Cerritos Civic Center). From one end of town to the other end, say from CPE to the Cerritos mall, roughly takes almost an hour. So, if you have the patience, or don't have a car of your own, be prepared for a 45-1 hour commute. In the meantime, you'll be able to view Cerritos from a different perspective: sideways! The design of the rear of the buses are stylistic representations of various sites and landmarks of Cerritos. One may have a stylized image of the Cerritos Library, for example. Another may have one of the Cerritos Performing Arts Center. These are ways to keep track of the actual buses that you may have sat in, as there are about 8 total buses running around town. The only downside is that the buses don't run very late (after 9pm). But in all other respects, these buses run well and have pretty cool air conditioning (a must in hot and muggy summers).

I was in search of a limousine service that could provide a nostalgic feel with a modern vibe and I found it in Hawthorne, Ca. I'm here writing this Yelp review, one of VERY few. This is where I found the reviews I read about this company to be intriguing enough for me to check them out for myself. It was a slight challenge in the beginning to locate the actual office since it's in a shared space however, once I was in the right place it was smooth sailing from there! I presented my vision and the team worked with me from day one to bring it to life. I felt heard, understood, and assured that this would be a birthday celebration that I would always remember and cherish. Being that I'm visual I had the opportunity to stop by to see the limo and ask additional questions both in person and over the phone. For my special day, I chose to be chauffeured around for the entire day. I contracted for an A/D service (as directed). I chose the city I wanted and was able to make as many stops as I wanted within the timeframe that I requested. It was a blessing that the sun shined brightly this day because it was a huge factor in helping my vision be fulfilled. My morning began at church, then on to brunch, then an escape room, then handcrafting a Charcuterie board which came out beautiful and lastly some dancing. When I say it was a full day....I was happily exhausted! Here are a few take aways based on my experience. Vehicles: Stretch Limos Sprinters SUVs All nice and well maintained Chauffeur: Attentive, professional, patient, funny and courteous. His overall pace seemed to be better suited for a singular destination rather than mutiple when considering time constraints. Nonetheless, this didn't ruin my day. Customer Service: Five star, excellent, professional appearance, respectful, met expectations, prompt, open and effective communication. Service Fees: Extremely feasible Based on service date and/or day, hours peak vs off peak, location and occasion. At the end of the day, I would HIGHLY recommend the services of this limousine company. And, I'm looking forward to being an ongoing client.
