On a nice, sunny winter walk through town last weekend, I had the pleasure of visiting Uniques…read more Uniques is a sweet shop on Main Street filled with an assortment of vintage & antique furniture and trinkets, mixed in with sock monkey keychains and Lite Brite boxes. Walking through the shop, looking at all the dishes and photos and bric-a-brac is a lot like walking through someone's home and digging through their treasures. It's a fun mix of old and new where you're bound to uncover some kind of treasure for yourself or a friend. Everything is in good condition -- you won't find lopsided tables or broken appliances here. Uniques also has another floor space two doors down from this one, filled with more furniture and trinkets, most of them 'on sale.' The second shop isn't open to the public unless you go to this one and ask someone to bring you over, which is what they did for me. The owners are really nice and made me feel very welcome in their store. I look forward to browsing Uniques for more treasures in the future!

It's like walking into a wonderland…read more I have never gone that I haven't been greeted with such a warm and inviting welcome that I feel that they have been waiting all week just for me to come. Each area of the grand old building is decorated with care and whimsey. You can never see all of the special items they have on offer in one visit. And then there is lunch! If you don't finish with a Nonesuch Kiss, you will be seriously missing out. I cannot recommend this wonderful place more.

Sam and the other vendors always make sure the place is bright, engaging, and fun. They are very intentional about making cool and eye catching displays to enjoy as you shop.
