It was a beautiful night so I took a million pictures of the view and not many of our food. Food…read morewith a view is usually not great bc you're paying for the view, but this food is better than average. Last night I had the veg risotto. Generous portion, nice flavors. Husband had a chicken sandwich that he said was like an 8 (he's a fried chicken sandwich guy) and fries. The fries were DELICIOUS! I went a few months back and had the veg poke bowl. It was the special and it was also very, very good. Our waitress last night was fantastic. It was pretty busy but she was extremely attentive and fast, and had one of my favorite qualities in a server: she didn't barge over and interrupt. She made sure we weren't MID SENTENCE TALKING and that we looked up at her before she spoke, which is such an under-appreciated quality in a server. The Landing is a bit spendy, but look at that view! It's clearly a place folks go to celebrate because there were THREE tables side by side that had birthdays. But back to the patio: this place used to be called Knapps Landing and we always called it Gnat's Landing because of the bugs. Well, the gnats haven't gone anywhere, but they've installed big fans along the deck which is a really smart way to curb the bugs, so bring a sweater. You can direct the fans away from you if you don't have a sweater, but heed this important tip! And go on a Wednesday! The live jazz quartet was awesome.

I just discovered this place and have been here twice this summer. There is such a cute summer vibe…read moreon the deck which overlooks the Stratford Harbor. They also have a little fish pond with a bridge on the deck which feels very magical. On the weekends they offer love music and have an outdoor bar. If you are a spritz fan they offer a few varieties and their menu is a mix of coastal seafood and Asian fusion. I typically get the Poke Bowl which is very fresh and tropical as well as roasted maple brussel sprouts! When the deck is busy the service can be a tad slow but you won't mind with the vacation vibes they are serving.

Looking for a hole in the walk that serves the absolutely best fried scallops in southern…read moreConnecticut, that's tucked into one of the finest walkable New England coastal town centers- that hosts plenty of action from time to time on their perfectly manicured green ? Look no further than Milford Center's 7 Seas ! Their Fresh, large, juicy & perfectly fried scallops can't be beat. Served with perfectly fried petite potato wedges & an outstanding coleslaw, mate with a cold beer & you'll reach nirvana. Truth be told, have munched here on & off for 30+ years & not much has changed: great burgers, chowder, f&c's & a pretty decent beer selection PLUS lobster rolls ( best in season ) doled out in a friendly & genuine dive bar atmosphere with the classiest staff that own 100 watt smiles. Not a raw bar place though. Biggest surprise: an icy cold zero alcohol IPA from Athletic, brewed in Milford CT. Outstanding ! For a joint with no parking, you know the food & people have got to be good to keep reeling folks in. Hint #1: for parking: behind the Milford Library there is a lot. Short walk from there on an easy to moderate grade. Hint #2: If you're Uber-ing, the center is a great place to do a pub crawl.

Sushi AND seafood boil all you can eat?! Yes, please!…read more Sushi Kingdom has such a great concept! You get the best of both worlds, and everything is all you can eat. Ordering is done through an iPad, which makes the whole experience super easy and convenient. We tried a little bit of everything, but my favorite was definitely the seafood boil! I had shrimp, mussels, calamari, crab legs, sausage, eggs, potatoes, and corn. I went with the house special sauce, medium heat, and it was packed with flavor! Just the right amount of spice for me. The sushi was also a nice addition, with plenty of options to choose from. One thing is for sure, I'm definitely coming back, and next time I'm showing up HUNGRY!

I have to say, this is probably my favorite all-you-can-eat spot because they just do everything…read moreright. First, the prices are honestly kind of crazy for what you get. Lunch is $22.99 ALL WEEK, not just weekdays, and dinner is $32.99. They also have an all-you-can-eat Cajun seafood boil add-on. If you want snow crab legs, it's only another $10 with dinner. If you don't need the snow crab legs, it's only an additional $5 with lunch. Honestly, where are you getting a better deal for all-you-can-eat Thai, Japanese, Chinese, dim sum AND sushi?! I also love the tablet ordering system. There are pictures and descriptions for almost everything, so it's really easy to order. Everything is freshly made to order and they bring the food out as it's ready instead of waiting for your entire order to be finished. So things are constantly showing up hot and fresh. I've tried pretty much everything at this point Portions definitely vary. Some things are smaller, while the Chinese entrées are probably some of the biggest portions. The sesame chicken is SO GOOD. Super crispy, savory and flavorful on the outside but still juicy inside. The sushi is great too, although once you've completely overstuffed yourself, they all start tasting a little alike LOL. But seriously, everything we had was hot and fresh. Zero complaints. The inside is a little dark, but in a cozy/intimate way, and there's still plenty of lighting. From what I remember, it's mostly booths and they're really comfortable. Bathrooms have always been clean when I've been there, and they also have a walk-up hot bar and dessert bar. I leave here absolutely STUFFED every single time. It's worth every penny and then some. I already can't wait to go back and try the Cajun seafood boil next!
