What a cool vibe of a theatre space…read more My husband and I attended our first SLTE production (Snowbound) recently. Reclaiming a former commercial space, SLTE has turned it into a hip theatre space that includes a front bar and lounge area with the theater space in the back. The bar area is modern and chic and served some excellent holiday themed cocktails. The restrooms are modern and have a European feel. The stalls are all private rooms so there is no need for gendered labeling. The performance space is intimate and flexible which makes it exciting to think about seeing other shows there. The show we saw featured two excellent actors with professional experience in LA and NYC who now reside in Staunton. We will definitely be back to see more shows! One thing I would recommend considering. Many, myself included, have sensitivities to various scents. There were a number of candles burning throughout the lobby and bar. While they were beautiful and helped create ambience, they can also create headaches and migraines in some.
