Ive been all over the fitness spectrum from over weight, a competitive power lifter, gym meat head…read more I always thought I was "fit". After being bored of the same thing I got to a point where I was so miserable and out of shape, eating bad and unmotivated. I was so unhappy with myself I didn't know what to do. A friend told me to come to a class and try it out. I was instantly hooked and signed up that day. Since starting in February I have made such progress. I used to not even be able to run down the stairs, even though I could lift heavy weights. I wasn't really in shape like I thought. Now I can run a mile, sprint 400+ meters and I have so much more cardio endurance then I've ever in my life. Every day is different and challenges something new inside you. I was so scared to start something new, something out of my comfort zone. I walked into class and realized it was just a bunch of people like me, all ages , all sizes and even women 9 months pregnant! The coaches are all amazing and help you through everything. They will scale your workout to your best availability's but also see your potential and give you that push you don't have on your own. There are always events going on to keep you motivated and give you a goal. The owner Chris and his wife Christi are amazing! They always help with nutrition and guidance, they are so well educated. Inside this warehouse it is so much more then a gym. This is a home and it comes with a family. The people I get to see every day, work side by side with and even in events out side of the gym have become A family. Everyone is so welcoming and everyone is cheering you on! No one wants to see you fail and no one will ever let you. This place has changed my life mentality and physically, inside the gym and in every aspect of my life. I never thought I'd I AM A CROSSFITER and athlete. This is my transformation from just March to now.

Ive been between bodybuilding and powerlifting for about 7 years so far and this place definitely rocked my boat on the term fitness. I drive out when I can since I'm about 45 minutes away, but if you're in the area I'd highly recommend to check out.

The Box itself if nestled in a gorgeous area and well kept. I emailed them a week or so before dropping as was required by their website. Janine, one of the owners, got back to me rather quickly and clearly indicated what was needed. My first day drop in, I was surprised to see the coach actively doing the WOD with the only other member that came in. He didn't want the member to do the workout alone as he was the only one that came in the day after a particular taxing workout and for the early class. The box is really clean and spacious. I think I ended up meeting all of the owners who were very friendly and accommodating. The other members were also very friendly which is expected in the Crossfit community; however, after a less than stellar drop in experience in Philadelphia, I really appreciated working out with this group. I also cannot thank them enough for their generous drop-in fees. They take the attitude that if you pay to train elsewhere that you shouldn't have to pay to drop in. So the first one is free and every subsequent one afterwards is only $15. They also waived that fee for my second visit. I've been meaning to send them a shirt (which they also accept!) I cannot say enough good things about this group. If you live in the area, I highly recommend trying them out. If you are coming through the area, then I really recommend dropping in!

RedShed CrossFit is one of the 1st CrossFit affiliates in New Jersey, having opened in 2008. Head…read moreTrainer Pat Neill has years of experience in physical training, and is always seeking to further his knowledge and certifications, having recently begun the OPEX CCP. Coach Pat understands fitness, and where he elevates the Shed over other CrossFit boxes is that he knows how to teach pacing, so that the maximum benefits are gained in each workout. He passes this knowledge to the other coaches, as well. If you come into CrossFit with a deficiency, Pat and the other coaches will show you how to modify your workout so that you are still making gains. We've had several members, including myself, who are cancer survivors, and coming back to CrossFit after treatment was easy because of the coaches. There is no judgment as the Shed. We are a very caring, down to earth, and supportive community. No meatheads or screaming in your face. There are many younger members, as well as families at the Shed, and there is a room for the kids to hang out in while you work out. There is also a CrossFit Kids program. It is a workout environment unlike any other you've experienced. CrossFit has grown immensely over the past few years, with many new boxes opening in the Northern Morris & Sussex County area. We have a few members who have tried other CrossFit boxes, but after speaking with Pat have decided to come to the Shed; this illustrates Pat's understanding of how to meet the needs of each member. You want to make the best choice for your health and wellness, and RedShed CrossFit is that place.

They offered me a 2 week trial pass for my entire family but I had to give a credit card in order to create an account. I was told by the sales guy (Juan) at the Randolph LA Fitness that if I tried out the gym and didn't like it, as long as I told them before the 2 week trial was over, my card would NOT get charged. We went on 12/14 and did not like the gym. It was filthy, and while they have both a male and female custodian, the male was cleaning the women's bathroom while women were in there coming pit of the showers and sauna. I called on 12/15 and told Kenny (the manager) we didn't like the gym, weren't joining and wanted to make sure my card would not be charged. He assured me it would not. On 12/27, at the end of what would have been the trial period, my card was charged almost $300. Unauthorized, without my consent. What I've gone through since then, just trying to get my money back is a joke. Kenny is "not available" when I call, or they simply don't pick up, and dealing with corporate is no better. Carol at corporate is a liar and useless. Like Kenny, she's "not available" when I call and if you leave messages, she doesn't call you back. Both Kenny and Carol are liars as well. They tell you they'll resolve things for you and that they have put a credit through, but the don't. I was able to temporarily stop the charge from going through with my credit card company, but LA Fitness, who has been contacted by this credit card company after I disputed the charge, is not cooperating to reverse it. Stay away from this place. They're dishonest and dirty and have been sued by the FTC for doing this to countless customers!
