I am the rookie and one of the oldest, 54 and feel like I don't belong. I have done 5 am, 5:30 and 6:30 pm. I have been in a few classes with what I call the 1%ers. These people are the fittest people that I have ever met. They are also some of the nicest. I don't know why I get anxious to go to class because no one judges me. All they do is help push me to be better than I was 60 minutes ago. I'm sure in time that the anxious feeling will go away. I know with their help that I will become the best version of myself. My setback is my shoulders which limits me severely in doing many lifts. They keep me as positive as possible so I don't give up. I can truly say they care. If you have any doubts about joining this gym, they will put them to rest. All you have to do is take the classes for a week. Great instructors and great athletes. I feel lucky to have found this group of people.

I don't give money to shady businesses. So I tried OTF. It's like night and day! This is a REAL workout! The guidance through your workouts and the music and community is awesome! The staff is actually qualified to train, unlike the little kids with 6 hours of BS training at BA. First class is free! Try it! Love it!!!

Sure it can feel intimidating trying something new but you quickly realize it is self-paced. You aren't trying to keep up with anyone but yourself and no one is watching to see where you're at. This is far from an elitist group and I love seeing people from all different walks of life at different points of their fitness journeys. In 3 months I have lost 20lbs and 11% body fat. My BMI went from overweight to healthy and my goal is to maintain that. I have 5 kids under the age of 5 and want to be a good role model for them, and for any moms out there that you can still be healthy and strong during pregnancy and motherhood!

My sister had joined Hotworx shortly after Krystle did and I had been meaning to try a free class with them for some time. After setting up my initial free class with Haley the three of us managed to finally take one of these virtual sauna classes together. It was super fun and I was absolutely down to supplement my powerlifting workouts with these quick and intense workouts in the saunas. It's been a little over a month since I joined and I have loved being able to sign up for classes at any time of the day in a 24 hour period, being in the sauna by myself or the max of 3 people. It has been the perfect self care regimen I've needed since the weirdness of the pandemic and the world getting to a new norm. I know I'll keep coming back to this location to workout with my sister and Krystle as well as one that's opening up near where I live. The carido area is very spacious and offers a ton of machines though they can all become full fast during peak time. There seems to always be an area in front of a mirror to life and space to stretch on mats. It reminds me of the old westroads club. The kids daycare is great, the attendants are super sweet and caring for the kids. I don't love the locker room, but it does have ample lockers and rear end access to steam room sauna and pool. At the moment the splash pad is down so I don't have a reference on the pool but hope its a nice get away for us when the winter blues come around. Overall for the price it's a great deal to get the kids out and a work out in.

Unfortunately, there are always issues with the main attractions of this place. The pool has always got issues. It's gotten to the point where they should give credit back to members. There are 10 YMCAs in the Omaha Metro area. This is the closest one to where we live. It's the smallest center with the most members. Might be time for new management.

Employees flat out lie about customers, employees hang up on customers then claim it's because customers cussed them out even when it's 100% a lie (this is legally called defamation). I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Continuing to lie by saying I was disrespectful, cursed them out. Not once did I raise my voice or speak disrespectful when in fact it was the exact opposite. The young employees here are incredibly disrespectful, will hang up on you, refuse to help you or get you in touch with management. When reaching out to other locations managers have told me they are required to get you in touch with a manager, these employees just hang up and refuse to do so. I would like specific examples of how I was disrespectful. Something they can't do because they lie and are unprofessional, other reviews back this up. Unfortunately, my experience changed due to a situation involving a spin instructor that deeply impacted my personal life. This situation made the gym feel uncomfortable and no longer like the safe space it once was for me and my family. What has been most disappointing is how everything was handled. I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously, and ultimately I was the one who had to leave and cancel my membership after many years. I understand that personal situations can be complex, but when they affect members' comfort and trust, I believe they should be handled with greater care and accountability. Because of this experience, I would encourage others to carefully consider what kind of environment they're looking for when choosing a gym.
