I was instantly drawn to their energy and insight of health and well being, but still did my homework and checked out a couple other places in my area that also taught Kung Fu. My son tried out a class elsewhere, but there was no competition after meeting Thomas. This was the place for us, we both agreed wholeheartedly. I think it is worth pointing out that Sifu Thomas used to be a middle school teacher. It shows immensely in his ability to reach kids and his patience. Mr Clark, another teacher of Kung Fu, is also exceptional. They both have an excellent balance of seriousness and fun, always understanding and kind. My son has now been taking Kung Fu for over a year and it has changed him in so many positive ways. He's more patient with his little sister, more respectful to everyone, and willing to help when asked, or sees the need himself. These are principles taught within the art of Kung Fu at Del Sol, not just a fighting style to take someone out. If money and time weren't an issue, I think our whole family would be taking it. ;) Del Sol has so many other things to offer as well. I observe the Crossfit classes, sometimes watching what they are doing, other times just over hearing the laughter. They make working out and working hard look fun. :) They also offer cooking classes and have immense knowledge in health and nutrition. I have yet to take a yoga class, but don't doubt it is awesome. They have created a perfect serene atmosphere in the back room for a meditative, sweaty, beautiful yoga practice. For someone wanting to be healthier in body, mind, and spirit, you really can't go wrong with Del Sol. We are proud to be a part of the blossoming Del Sol family.

As with each barre3 location i have personally experienced for myself, the instructors at this location are warm, welcoming, exceptional & challenging. barre3 is a beautiful, "full-body balanced workout" that boils down to a unique blend of yoga, pilates, & ballet (barre) work. i've tried alllll the boutique fitness classes & studios, genres, methods/styles etc., you name it...and barre3 is the most fulfilling, enjoyable, & challenging workout experience i've had! Don't get it twisted - each barre3 class i've ever taken has been extremely intense & difficult, but the physical, mental, & emotional health improvements & peaks are well worth it! Barre3's website describes it best, "Our innovative approach combines low-impact isometric moves, large-range cardio bursts, and mind-centering breathwork." - and for each of those details, i'm in love! the cherry on top of the barre3 sundae is that their co-founder/CEO, Sadie Lincoln, is an absolute role model, leader queen! (ProTip: she also teaches & has some of their most-killer recorded classes in their online inventory!) In addition to studio classes, they offer at-home recorded & live workouts. First of all she had her last child in her forties and I too am having babies in my forties. I can only dream and hope that when my youngest is 16 that my body looks half as good as hers. However, it goes beyond looks it is good health that Dixie exudes! She has spent years learning and growing her craft which she pours into you during your session. The price she charges is a steal for the tools she gives you. My daughter's posture(swimmer) was noticeably better after one session. My gym memberships and other fitness classes became irrelevant immediately. Monica's dance fitness is my workout of choice, hands down. Monica has a magical way of choreographing dances that (1) are easy to follow, (2) give you a good workout , and (3) make you actually LOOK and FEEL good while following along. It's like a Zumba class... but with music video dancer choreo to contemporary songs you actually WANT to dance to. Every class has a palpable buzz of energy, enthusiam, and community love. This group of gals (and a few guys!) cheer each other on, hype each other up, and support each other outside of the studio. It's a beautiful community and I am so grateful to have found it.
