This is the first time I've ever written a review for a gym but this facility is too good to not…read moregive it the recognition it deserves! Rise Gym has a commercial gym side, a powerlifting side, and a strongman side. In the commercial gym, there is an upstairs and a downstairs section. There's already plenty of treadmills and cardio machines downstairs but there's even more in the upstairs area as well as a section for kids to play in. Not to mention, there is a supplement store where you can shop for protein, preworkout, vitamins, healthy snakcs, etc. so I thought that was pretty neat! As a powerlifter, Rise Barbell is hands down, the best place to work out. The powerlifting side just opened this summer and I cannot thank the owner Dr. Sean for providing such an amazing facility for me to train at before I competed at Raw Nationals this year. There are plenty of brand new TSS combo racks and barbells as well as new Rogue Kilo/pound plates. There's also many deadlift platforms as well as one olympic weightlifting section. Aside from that, there is a long strip of turf that separates the powerlifting section from the machines for body builders. Speaking of body builders, there is a posing room so that's another big plus! Inside this building, there is also a Physical Therapy section run by Dr. Sean. Oh yeah, did I mention there's AC too? I've visited numerous powerlifting gyms in the Houston area but none of them had AC so I appreciate how I'm not drenched in sweat just from walking into a gym. Aside from the amazing facility, the staff and trainers here are incredibly kind. I appreciate how they helped host/run fun events for members to participate in! Overall, the amount of hard work and passion that the owners and workers put into this gym speaks volumes. Honestly, I could go on and on as to why this is the best gym I've ever visited but I hope everyone gets to experience working out at Rise Barbell.

I think he was new. I knew exactly what OTF was all about because of him! Thank you! I did try the free class at this location... however, OTF recommends you sign up at a home location where you spend the most time.. whether it was close to work or home. I'm in this area quite often... This is a very busy location. Personally, I think you can call your home gym where you feel the most comfortable or welcomed. They did a great job! I definitely have it as one of my favorite spots to drop in!

My wife and I, along with many others, are having a lot of issues when it comes to canceling our subscription. We canceled months ago, and orange theory continues to try and charge us. We have called and filled out paperwork multiple times. Whether its incompetence or unfriendly business practices, orange theory has some issues it needs to iron out. They have lost paperwork, refused to reverse charges, and have been unhelpful. Again, the workouts were awesome. It really sucks that orange theory has such a poor customer service experience on the back end. Stay away...

There are a few parking spots available outside. Might have to park around the corner if you are late and another class is going on.

They treat all of my children well, have plenty of things to do for the kids, and my kids have a blast there. Only good things to say! People can't be bothered to have their music through headphones 3. people talking on their phones in the designated "quiet area" and staff ignore despite signs literally say "phone free zone". 4. Areas broken for months never fixed. Continued... -ladies exfoliating in the sauna and in the hot tub so gross! -mold on the floor and walls of the hot tub not cleaned for over a year I finally left villa. -blood by the pool and showers not cleaned up for three days! THREE! What are the cleaners doing? Apparently nothing. Even after I pointed it out. -roughly spoken to by a guy who takes care of the area (I assumed) by the indoor lap pool. I was pregnant and hurting and needed my nightly stretch in the pool which is the main reason I paid to go there and I can't use the hot tub while pregnant. Arrived at the same time as usual. There was another person swimming but the man present didn't like women or I don't know but he told me "it's closed" and didn't give me an explanation. I question and shared how I REALLY need to stretch I'm in pain and it's supposed to be open another 40 minutes on schedule and there is clearly another person swimming in front of us, so how can it be closed? He just yelled at me and still didn't tell me why. I have no idea who or why he was there. Cane other days when pool was support he open and they had signs saying closed" when it was supposed to be open. They don't really have a good amount of machines other than tons of treadmills compared to LA fitness. And as others mentioned they stay broken a long time. But I need to work my back and don't use free weights. The hot sauna was broken for MONTHS! And was so unclean inside. I couldn't believe I had been sitting in there. But I'm sure it was due to the lady exfoliating herself and no one cleaning it! It makes me want to vomit thinking of it. I wanted a water yoga class but they didn't have evening classes for me. Only during the day when I couldn't go. For a large expensive place it makes no sense they could not hire for evening classes. Kids area-while I don't trust anyone to watch my kids personally, my best friend had a terrible experience there. Other kids would bully her kids and staff didn't seem to care. She could only take her kids a set limited time during the day so too bad if you can't make that block of time despite the fact you pay twice as much to bring kids you can literally only go when they say you can because pools and splash pads for kids aren't open or are closed constantly. The last straw was her son was arguing with his sibling as siblings do, but it was handled terribly. Instead of going to get her if there was indeed a problem , the staff dragged him down the hallway and when he thought he was out of sight, she saw him throw him on the ground. She happened to have come down for pick up at the time and was following them wondering why he had her son down a secluded hallway alone, He didn't apologize or anything. Terrible way of handling a child.
