It's $7 a class or $35 for pass (buy 5, get one free). Huge bang for your buck in terms of price for a fitness class. I must first say that my skills in the dance department are limited, I have the hardest time following the steps and often go left first when everyone is going right. It's a mess and pretty amusing, but hey I can laugh at myself and move on. Anyway, just in the few times I've been doing it, I've gotten used to certain moves and the practice does help. The point is, try the class out even if you fear embarrassment or don't think you'll be able to keep up. Stand in the back and remember that we were all in your shoes once (or at least I was). I absolutely love this workout because you're moving non-stop for an hour. They start with some warm up moves, then stretching, then the core of the workout, then cool down, and stretch. It's amazing cardio and great for your legs and calves. The instructors, Doriel and Rebecca do a really good job offering modifications or advanced moves to fit your skill level and they're easy to follow along. It's great if you don't like a typical gym workout. The hour goes by so fast and you really get your sweat on. I feel great (and sore) every time. Groove Juice also performs, hosts Lindy Hop dances, and teaches swing dance lessons. They run the gamut. Find what you like and give it a whirl.

And then once you've been dancing a bit, they also have intermediate and advanced lessons to keep helping you become a better dancer. Stompology was the first solo jazz workshop of its kind and it draws people from all over the world to Rochester. Swing dancing is a great way to stay in shape, to meet people, and to learn some really cool dance moves! Definitely check out their website and get to one of their events.

Kristine is constantly furthering her knowledge by obtaining higher certifications in nutrition, fitness & personal training . Ive had 2 other trainers thru a nation wide gym over the last year. I saw few results and honestly they were the opposite of what I wanted! So I google trainers and I was so lucky to have come across Kristine. The trainers from the national gym do not even come close to comparing. I have worked one on one with Kristine also attending a few of her boot camp classes. She also has devised a nutrition plan specific to me, my body and goals (now I gotta follow it lol) I have seen more results in the 3/4 months I have lost inches & body fat working at Karved with Kristine than in a year at the other place. She truly cares about her clients!! She takes notes every session keeping a log of progress, problems, concerns , goals ext. Any time I have a questions or concern she is on top of it !! She spends her own time doing research to make her she is giving 100% !! I look forward to working out with her twice a week and if I can squeeze a bootcamp in I most definitely do it! What a joke this place is! I called and he said it was free to come and workout to try the…read morefacility. I make the 15 minute walk there, sign the waiver and proceed to warm up. I am then stopped by a 125lb trainer, saying I cannot workout without one of the staff trainers, even advanced lifters cannot. He asked for me to stop warming up and wait 5 mins and he will "guide me through my workout" lol I was dumb founded...I have trained at numerous gyms all around the country and never ran into this before. I end up waiting close to 15 mins...I pack up and leave. This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. Now I respect how their business is run...but would have been nice to have known on the phone...or when I signed the waiver.... what is the point of the waiver now? If I get hurt under his supervision, I should be able to hold him accountable..... Many lifters do not need guidance through workouts...let alone being "trained" by someone who does not even look like they lift...I would not take advice from any of the trainers there....look the part at least. Need to get a workout in??? Go elsewhere sad thing is, this "gym" is very well equipped...all goes to waste

PowerTrain is like OrangeTheory Fitness but PowerTrain offers more! You arrive for a 1 hour workout…read morethat is designed by the trainers at PowerTrain. It is a different workout each time, making sure you don't plateau. It's what all the fitness articles tell you to do but sometimes you need the push from elsewhere to make it happen...and Jenna and the other trainers at PowerTrain do just that! The difference from OT is that PowerTrain has a weight room that you can go to at a convenient time for you and do your own thing..or sign up for personal training classes. This is a bit costly but if you're regularly attending, you're getting what you pay for. GIve it a try!! A heart rate monitor is given to you on arrival and you watch your HR throughout class...making sure to stay in the green, orange or red zones to maximize your workout. Go! Have a great time!! Embrace the soreness...it feels so good :)
