The mailbox eventually says it hasn't been set up. ...I eventually had to send an email to corporate, look around in my spam folder for a response days later, and go through infuriating obstacles and hoops to talk to a person. For a second time, I am attempting to quit while two billing cycles have gone by. I must remind myself the employee at the end of management's stick are not the problem. Gimme luck. The team here works with you from an all-around wellness approach. Two weeks after signing up, I ended up getting sick and felt derailed. But the kindness and care package that arrived in my mailbox from the team here was encouraging and immediately set the tone for the relationship I have with this gym. In the three months of working with Evan at L&L, I have made more progress than in all of the months no wait, years, of training elsewhere. Why? Well I think it comes down to the personalized, total-wellness approach. I like that you have an app that keeps you connected to your trainer and links with MyFitnessPal. This added layer of accountability has been great for me. I've logged into MFP for 100 straight days - more than ever before. And it is an encouragement when Katie sends you a message for sticking with tracking food. Speaking of which, I appreciate the approach of focusing on macros instead of just calories. This has helped me tremendously as I've been working on strength. I have started looking at food more as fuel for the body. Don't get me wrong, I still like to eat... but at least now I have a greater awareness of what is going to work for me. I have a customized program that is tailored to me. For as much as we work on getting stronger, there is significant time spent on pre-habbing and focusing on recovery. It's amazing what rest, lacrosse balls and foam rolling can do to improve movement. I haven't lost a whole lot of weight yet, but that goal has been set on the back burner as I realize how weight alone is not a great measure of wellness. There are multiple other measure of improvement, and I'm seeing those. You'll get out of it what you put in, but it seems easier to put in the effort when you have a supportive group of well-educated people rooting for you. I highly recommend at least checking Lion & Luxe out. They offer yoga and massage in addition to personal training. The atmosphere is relaxed and familiar, and VERY supportive. Up front there are plenty of cardio and resistance stations. In the middle are mats for floor excercises. And in the back is a well-stocked free-weight room. I used the free weights and cardio and resistance stations and got in two nice, full two hour workouts. Locker room was small but more than adequate. Shower was warm, towels were available, and I left feeling I got my money's worth. I strongly recomend this place to any visitor who, like me, doesn't want to miss a workout because he doesn't want to get fat again.

I end up waiting close to 15 mins...I pack up and leave. This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard. Now I respect how their business is run...but would have been nice to have known on the phone...or when I signed the waiver.... what is the point of the waiver now? If I get hurt under his supervision, I should be able to hold him accountable..... Many lifters do not need guidance through workouts...let alone being "trained" by someone who does not even look like they lift...I would not take advice from any of the trainers there....look the part at least. Need to get a workout in??? Go elsewhere sad thing is, this "gym" is very well equipped...all goes to waste

It's what all the fitness articles tell you to do but sometimes you need the push from elsewhere to make it happen...and Jenna and the other trainers at PowerTrain do just that! The difference from OT is that PowerTrain has a weight room that you can go to at a convenient time for you and do your own thing..or sign up for personal training classes. This is a bit costly but if you're regularly attending, you're getting what you pay for. GIve it a try!! A heart rate monitor is given to you on arrival and you watch your HR throughout class...making sure to stay in the green, orange or red zones to maximize your workout. Go! Have a great time!! Facility is clean and clearly labeled as to locations of gym, fitness rooms, lockers, restrooms. Staff has always been friendly, working hard and appear to enjoy their jobs. I have tried several group fitness classes, most are included in the membership and schedules are readily available at front entrance and on their web-site. For the most part I use the fitness center which has a wide variety of equipment with on-screen apps to watch Netflix and Hulu (with your own log-ins) on some machines as well as live TV and music options to help pass the time. Some of the equipment works with the Preva app to keep track of your weekly goals, which I enjoy. I chose this fitness location as an average woman who is somewhat new to fitness and wasn't looking to be watched, obviously judged or feel out of place. I can honestly say that I feel comfortable here, I would dare to say even happy to be working toward a healthier me here. There is a diverse mix of people that come and I enjoy the friendly overall atmosphere. There are so many membership perks that I haven't taken advantage of such as 2 large pools with aqua classes, open swimming and laps, cycling classes, day care options. JCC has an app available, but it is hit and miss and freezes often, so I would hold off on that until it's improved. Overall I find the JCC an Excellent overall facility.

During our time at the daycare, I felt that both my son and I were treated differently, and not in a positive way. At the time, my son was not yet fully adopted, and I couldn't help but feel that this may have influenced how we were perceived and treated. As a parent, that was incredibly disheartening. The transition to Jennifer Mehlenleacher & Christine Belykh was also a major factor in our experience. There seemed to be a noticeable decline in overall organization and communication, along with significant staff turnover and ongoing staffing shortages. This created an environment that felt unstable and, at times, concerning. I personally witnessed Jennifer numerous times talked down to her staff humiliating them in front of guests. Which was not uncomfortable for the guests, but it was extremely humiliating for her staff. I chose to wait before writing this review so I could reflect and compare our experience with another daycare. Having now seen what a supportive, well-run environment looks like, I can confidently say that this experience did not meet reasonable expectations. I truly hoped for a much more positive experience, and it's unfortunate that it didn't turn out that way.

They are structured to help you get your heart rate up and have different levels for where you are at per exercise in your challenge.  If you want to take it up a notch the coach is right there to give you advice and help you out.  I am so glad that Core Capacity offered this challenge and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to make a healthy change in their life!

That's when Victor Crossfit came in. I had been trying to find a small gym with a focus on group workout (think boot camp style) for a few months before I saw an ad to try Victor Crossfit for 3 weeks at a reduced price. I figured minimal investment of time and money, so if I didn't like it, I wouldn't be locked into a long membership. That was in March, and now entering October, I still go weekly. Lance, Chelsea, Megan, and, Caitlin have creative an environment where you want to go in and work hard. Everyone is super supportive of each other, and the workout, at any level, will push you. The coaches always have scaled versions of a workout so that people will get a great sweat on no matter if they've been coming for 10 years or 1 week. I was never a fan of weights or developing huge muscles but seeing myself improve over time and get stronger, I wanted to keep pushing myself to get to the next weight. You'll feel this way too! The coaches don't force you to use higher weights but they will challenge you to push harder when they see you're going to easy. It's encouraging! I can't recommend this place enough!

CrossFit can be intimidating and often the people doing CrossFit can be even more so. This is a box where you dont have to worry about that. People check their egos at the door here. Coaches are great. They push you but don't overdo it. I came in 6 months ago at 255 lbs, herniated discs in my back, and doctors telling me I'd never lift weights over my head again. I've had to check my own ego, go wicked slow, and just keep showing up. Often the weights I do are well below the prescribed workout but I've gotten stronger and better and proven the doctors wrong. It's all about just showing up and getting a great workout. I'd highly recommend just making the call, and changing your life for the better. All you have to do is show up. Funny thing is that after a few weeks you really start to crave going. It gets addictive!
