The beauty of M/Body is that they really offer everything, including personal training and some options for getting workouts in around normal class times. HIIT classes were (and still are) my absolute favorite, and the classes here are exciting and station based. I will never take barre again based on my experience here, but that has more to do with me and nothing to do with the quality of the classes - pretty sure this is one of the best barre experiences in the area...I just think all barre experiences are criminal and TORTURE. I digress. If you're looking for a snappy, clean facility in a perfect location, M/Body is for you. They consistently run specials on pricing and are especially good to their first timers. Give it a go if you've yet to try a class!

The Baytowne location is obviously bae and has my heart, but the Pittsford location has a lot of positives as well! I've taken at Pittsford from both Coach Heidi and Coach Grant, both of whom are super personable and fun. The space is up to the Orangetheory standard in terms of cleanliness, and the workouts are just as hardcore as any other OTF location you can experience around the nation. My main gripe with the Pittsford location is the claustrophobia of their wait area. I don't know if it is because all of their classes are always so packed or what, but the lobby/hallway is too small for the class changeover time. Trying to brush past 40 sweaty people in a 4 ft hallway with no escape is simply brutal. Once inside the workout area, all is well. But this 2 minute inconvenience of sweaty, disgusting, sardine-y humans is enough to make me dread going. This could also be in my imagination and show off some of my east side bias, but the vibe here is much more focussed on appearance and output than community and wellness building. I get a great workout when I go and I absolutely adore the flexibility in being able to choose between both locations. Give it a try if you haven't yet!

OTF Pittsford is pretty standard as far as the OTF brand goes -- clean facility, friendly staff,…read moreetc. My only gripe is that they have one trainer who teaches 80% of the classes, and if you're not crazy about him (imho he's fine as an instructor, but his 2010 alternative rock music choices don't get me motivated) there aren't many options for other classes/teachers. This is very close to my house, but will try one of the other locations to mix it up.

The workouts are challenging, with modifications if you need it. But, if you want to make the workout more challenging, there's an option for that as well. There are open gym times too, so you can do what you do best . No one is ever excluded, and everyone is held accountable. There's never a dull moment at D1. It's really a great place to train! Instead, HE decided that if he through in the morning classes (which I was not comfortable with working out in a group setting, yet) would be fine for the mornings, and kept encouraging me to come in after a 10 hour shift. I work in healthcare and that was an exhausting time of day for me, so I could not make it work. I tried my best to come on my off days, but that really limited my consistency. He would make mysoginistic comments about my work outs and "looking tired" when I was there. I tried to confront him and he dismissed me mentioning the am classes he offered (which I never utilized other than one time and it was uncomfortable for me). When I stopped going, he refused to return my calls. He owes me ~$800 for the last month that I could not make it because I felt I was wasting money doing half ass work outs at times that were not good for me. The point -- if your a child with a specific goal and/or someone who has a flexible schedule and does not mind going to classes -- great! If you are an important-looking dude, George may get a trainer at the times he promised you. If you're a young single female -- be prepared to be treated like a joke. Let me preface this with me laying out for them EXACTLY what my flaws were and what I needed to be consistent. I told them I struggled after work and was looking for a morning session to set my day. My coaches were amazing. They texted me and encouraged me. George, was not understanding and totally did not deliver on his promises--and then kept my money.
