That's when Victor Crossfit came in. I had been trying to find a small gym with a focus on group workout (think boot camp style) for a few months before I saw an ad to try Victor Crossfit for 3 weeks at a reduced price. I figured minimal investment of time and money, so if I didn't like it, I wouldn't be locked into a long membership. That was in March, and now entering October, I still go weekly. Lance, Chelsea, Megan, and, Caitlin have creative an environment where you want to go in and work hard. Everyone is super supportive of each other, and the workout, at any level, will push you. The coaches always have scaled versions of a workout so that people will get a great sweat on no matter if they've been coming for 10 years or 1 week. I was never a fan of weights or developing huge muscles but seeing myself improve over time and get stronger, I wanted to keep pushing myself to get to the next weight. You'll feel this way too! The coaches don't force you to use higher weights but they will challenge you to push harder when they see you're going to easy. It's encouraging! I can't recommend this place enough!

CrossFit can be intimidating and often the people doing CrossFit can be even more so. This is a box where you dont have to worry about that. People check their egos at the door here. Coaches are great. They push you but don't overdo it. I came in 6 months ago at 255 lbs, herniated discs in my back, and doctors telling me I'd never lift weights over my head again. I've had to check my own ego, go wicked slow, and just keep showing up. Often the weights I do are well below the prescribed workout but I've gotten stronger and better and proven the doctors wrong. It's all about just showing up and getting a great workout. I'd highly recommend just making the call, and changing your life for the better. All you have to do is show up. Funny thing is that after a few weeks you really start to crave going. It gets addictive!

The mailbox eventually says it hasn't been set up. ...I eventually had to send an email to corporate, look around in my spam folder for a response days later, and go through infuriating obstacles and hoops to talk to a person. For a second time, I am attempting to quit while two billing cycles have gone by. I must remind myself the employee at the end of management's stick are not the problem. Gimme luck. Since it is a small local place class sizes tend to be small and the gym has plenty of open spots to workout. All of the staff is amazing and every class I have been to is great. They have so many possible times to get to each day just incase you work its pretty easy to still get to classes. They offer tabata, spin classes, burn workouts, yoga and every few months they add in new classes they offer. The instructors are very professional and always know what they are doing and offer modifications for those who need it.

I met Dan Dirkx (one of the owners), and he was super helpful and very welcoming. So I decided to make Fruition my box away from, and it was great!! All of the members there were super friendly and the coaches were fantastic. The coaches always made time to get you some one on one attention and were very motivating. It was great to see people there from all ages and of all fitness levels, because that's really what CrossFit is about. I will definitely drop back in next time I'm back in the ROC!

Though it's always a hard workout, the workouts are scaled for your level. They have opened up such an extraordinary place that they are obviously very proud of. The equipment is new and up to date. Everything is really clean. The bathrooms are nice. They are open from 5am-midnight ( I believe but will start operating 24/7 very shortly ) New members get the change to be in a raffle every week for Bills tickets. Like come on, how awesome is that?! The classes are great, the atmosphere is fantastic. They offer a ton of classes that are perfect for all ages and genders. It really is a no-judgement zone kinda feel. I believe sometime in September, Ashker's is opening up a smoothie/juice/fresh food deal in the actual gym. I'm extremely excited about that! This place is nothing short but a motivational sanctuary. You will come in and leave feeling like a million bucks!
