I really like RuckHouse…read more If you're looking for a full body workout (and really, we all should be), head over for a class. It's a circuit training/HIIT style workout, where you roll around the studio and run through a series of different exercises designed to get your whole body moving and sweating and just in better overall shape. There's some work on machines (ski, treadmill, bike, etc.), weights, bodyweight exercises, and more. If you've ever done F45 or something similar, it's not far off, but it's a cool local shop with personable coaches in a clean environment with surprisingly nice facilities and even products in the bathroom for when you're through. Everyone we spoke with from the front desk to the trainers leading the session to the other folks working out seemed cool, and we'll definitely be back when we're in town. Like most workouts (and many other things in life), you get out what you put in. Meaning, if you come in ready to see what your body can do, you'll get a great sweat on. They have a shirt for sale that says, "But did you die?" And I like that. Bring your own towel.

First, to start off the experience, I visited the Kinetix website and requested more information. Within 24 hrs a return email was sent and I had an appointment with one of the coaches, Zach. Zach was friendly, he showed me around the gym, and explained options. I did not feel pressured during the interaction. The gym is new and beautiful. The locker room is pristine and the member lounge has the perfect mid-century modern aesthetic. The 5 personal training sessions required prior to starting group classes didn't seem like it would be "enough" and to be fair, a lot of the movements I knew. With that said, the sessions were useful to acclimate me to the gym. And the sessions were also for the coach to ensure I could perform movements safely, which I appreciate. I was disappointed that I was not taught various Olympic lifts (my sister mentioned these were included in the "on-ramp" classes at her CrossFit gym). I mentioned my concern to Zach and he reassured me I would be taught various moves during the classes. Overall, I am pleased with my experience thus far and will update this review as I have more to say. To also note, Kinetix used to be called "CrossFit boomtown" though I am told the owners disassociated themselves from the CrossFit title as there are limitations when trying to grow their business and open additional locations.

All of the members there were super friendly and the coaches were fantastic. The coaches always made time to get you some one on one attention and were very motivating. My name is Daniel Sharlow and I completed the core body challenge at the Core Capacity Studio in…read moreHenrietta.  The program was great.  I lost 23 pounds and 7.2% body fat.  The diet plan that is provided is strict but it helps you instantly start seeing a change week by week.  I lost on average about 4 pounds a week it is nice to see the change to keep you going during the process.  Their instructors Renee, Mike, and Larry also helped keep me going and pushed me to help reach me goal.  They helped me realize when I needed more weights or if my form was off.  Without the team at Core Capacity I would be living a way different lifestyle (very unhealthy) still.  I have learned how to properly control my diet and how much and when I should eat.  The classes are great! They are structured to help you get your heart rate up and have different levels for where you are at per exercise in your challenge.  If you want to take it up a notch the coach is right there to give you advice and help you out.  I am so glad that Core Capacity offered this challenge and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to make a healthy change in their life!
