I had my wedding flowers done by Jazz Flowers in Teddington. The experience was nice at the beginning. Thestaff were friendly and very knowledgable about flowers. The shop was pretty. They took down the details of the flowers i wanted. All seemed nice... until their computer went down. I had to chase them everyday for confirmation of the roses I wanted, re-quotes of the bouquets, etc. I never got any written confirmation of the specific candelabra or vases I liked to use, all i got was an initial discussion with them on a piece of paper early on and a telephone agreement, which can be quite nerve-wracking as I didn't know if they'd keep their promises. And they neglected my desire to cancel my bridesmaids bouquets even though I expressed my budget concern and told them my finalised request before the deadline over the phone. The lady told me its too late to cancel since she had booked the flowers from the supplier. I was really upset about this. My fiance who is now my husband rang them up and she agreed to cancel it! (Contradictory to what she told me!) we didn't want to pisss her off, we could only pray she still kept her standards on our big day.
The flowers turned out to be very pretty on that day! I loved the pink hydrangeas and the tall candelabra arrangement. They gave us the flowers agreed, and the overall result was nice. However, there were a few things we were not happy with.
- They changed 3 white porcelain vases to 3 square glass vases without our acknowledgement. We were charged £3 each for the plain vases for which price we could have bought them ourselves and keep them after the wedding.
- the groom's buttonhole was pink despite I told them I want a white David Austin Rose from the outset and sent them sample photos twice. It was revealed 2 days before the wedding.
- I was not pleased with the guest buttonholes at all. We were quoted £6 each for the snowberry buttonhole. With this price, I was expecting something extraordinary but they were just a bunch of wild snowberries cut from someone's garden. They were without any herbs (as agreed before) and lack of any esthetic design you'd see on real weddings websites. My husband thought they looked cheap, a little past their best and fell everywhere. The stem of the buttonhole was too thick and didn't thread through the slot in the suit properly.
Our wedding day was a huge success so we try not to think about the small things. It might just be we were unlucky with them. But I would like to share my experience with anyone who is interested in using them for their wedding. Good luck! read more
