Today I went shopping for a Christmas wreath and a few other flowers and found myself in Bloomsbury…read moreFlowers. What brought me into the shop was the beautiful wreath on the door. The shop was decorated for Christmas and I was feeling a bit envious that I could never get my house to look that festive, no matter what I do. But I did feel I could achieve a similar look with some help. I spoke with the florist who was sweet and knowledgeable, she gave me excellent ideas. By the time I got finished looking around the shop and acting on her ideas I left with a wreath and several poinsettias. Bloomsbury Flowers is a great shop and it is nice to have found a new shop that is near my house. The service is great and since they arrange flowers for every occasion it's the perfect shop. And thanks to the florist I've achieved a wonderful Christmas look at home.

Bloomsbury Flowers was super quick responding to my request to send an arrangement to a friend who had just started a new job. All I gave them were the contact details and color choice. They handled the rest! Given how expensive London generally is, the arrangement was reasonably priced (I even went ahead and asked for an upgrade from the original offer). Less than 24 hours later, my friend received the perfect and lovely bouquet! Very pleased and most importantly, the recipient was overjoyed! Thank you Mark and the team at Bloomsbury Flowers.

It was early, it was cold and the only feasible solution was this kiosk. I got there with the idea of 'anything will do' but the florist was very eager to help choose the correct flowers for the kind of person she was. It was amazing, he asked me questions I answered (as far as I knew, complexion, dress sense, favourite colour, perfume, etc) and somehow I ended up buying her favourite flowers! I don't know if it was a mere coincidence or if the guy actually know his business, but she loved her dandelions. His selection of flowers is not huge but he seems to have the right things. He is a poet/ writer of some sort as every time I go by he is writing on his little book, or maybe his got a magic book that gets customers to return.

Then head to Angelic Flower Co immediately. Alan Carr is the man behind the bloom and he will sort you out with the most beautiful bouquet of flowers all within your specified budget. I don't care what anyone says, there's nothing better than receiving flowers. It's the magic that unicorns and snuggies are made of. As Carolina G mentioned, he asked me all sorts of questions like what kind of perfume my friend wears, her clothing style, even where in London she lives/spends most of her time. He then carefully picked and choose each individual stem and somehow created the most amazing bouquet that couldn't have been more ideal for my friend. (Which, consequently, she adored.) It's a good thing I picked up two cards, because we're close enough friends that she instantly wanted to know the who, how, when, where and how much behind the gorgeous bouquet. I can't blame her, I nearly wanted to keep them for myself! I'll keep the extra card instead.

Are you a bride to be? Then my advice is to AVOID AVOID AVOID this company. I booked Wildabout for…read moremy wedding last month at The Ned and the whole process from start to finish was truly awful. Leanne suppled the WRONG COLOUR bouquets for my bridesmaids, (rushed bouquets were thrown together to compensate) incorrect button holes and they FORGOT to supply a major PAID element of the design for my ceremony. (Settled by the small claim courts as their communication is non existent or full of excuses, as will probably be their response to this honest and true review) Some of the flowers were wilted and dead by the afternoon, including my bouquet. I will give a positive as some of the design elements they provided were stunning, so they are capable but on this occasion unprepared at best. The worst part for me as the bride, which I still don't think Wildabout & Leanne truly understand, is the upsetting impact this had on me on the morning of my wedding day. I lost being able to surprise my bridesmaids with their bouquets and precious time to enjoy getting ready, instead the bridal suite was filled with negative stressful energy brought by Wildabout. So, if you are looking for a wedding florist there are so many gorgeous companies in London and I truly wish I trusted my gut, cancelled our contract, cut our loses and booked elsewhere. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Wild About's my nearest florist and on my last visit I popped in to buy hydrangeas for my living room. The woman at Wild About was very serious about my clipping the ends before putting them into water at home and explained that this was crucial for the longevity of the flowers. Whilst not inexpensive, the hydrangeas lasted over a week and made me happy every time I looked at and smelled them. Though I didn't pay close attention to the arrangements at Wild About, it's pretty clear these folks take flowers seriously so I suspect they'd do a good job. There's definitely a very modern vibe about the place so I imagine their floral creations would reflect that aesthetic. Oh and, their window displays are always gorgeous and worth looking at if you're in the area.
