As is to be expected, the flower selection is best in the morning and on non-market days, when everyone and their dog seems to find it romantic to pick up a bouquet during their market shop. They carry an array of beautiful flowers throughout the seasons, often including unusual succulents, herbs, and even thistle and wildflowers, and will happily sell you a few stems of your favorite hydrangeas or tulips. But they shine in the arranging department as well. I recently had them put together an autumnal bouquet for my dining table. It was made up of rust and yellow dahlias, a lush purple wildflower, and springs of rosemary. It lasted more than two weeks! It can be a bit pricy (I paid 30gbp for the large bouquet mentioned above), but it's excellent value for money. And I don't say that often in London, and especially not of most of the businesses near Portobello Road Market.

This florist furnishes some of the nearby shops with on-going supply of flower arrangements that are designed to compliment the shops' look and needs. Some of these are arrangements are absolutely massive and remarkably impressive - we're talking dense and very rich and colourful displays of blooms - so I have no doubt they could do the same for an individual with a similar need for a truly grand bouquet.

They make fabulous arrangements and have very skilled people working there but this does come at a very very high price (£45 entry price, going up very quickly). But if you want to please someone or need to decorate your home with a special bouquet, while money no object, this is the place to go. I recently bought an orchid but it is slowly losing life as the pretty pot in which they sold it is not suited to water it properly. A pity but it does look stunning.

You'll find this store a mid-priced pleasant flower shop.

The shop was decorated for Christmas and I was feeling a bit envious that I could never get my house to look that festive, no matter what I do. But I did feel I could achieve a similar look with some help. I spoke with the florist who was sweet and knowledgeable, she gave me excellent ideas. By the time I got finished looking around the shop and acting on her ideas I left with a wreath and several poinsettias. Bloomsbury Flowers is a great shop and it is nice to have found a new shop that is near my house. The service is great and since they arrange flowers for every occasion it's the perfect shop. And thanks to the florist I've achieved a wonderful Christmas look at home.

They handled the rest! Given how expensive London generally is, the arrangement was reasonably priced (I even went ahead and asked for an upgrade from the original offer). To personalise my bouquet for my special mum, I asked the lovely staff to make me a bunch of every purple flower they had. They were very happy to oblige and created an amazing bouquet for £30. Please do note that this was quite a big bunch and had tulips, lillies and various unknown flowers so it was reasonable priced! I was also on a mission to get a yellow and white bouquet which they made especially also - (a friend of mine was in desperate need of last minute flowers for her mum too) I must commend the staff on their fantastic service as they were happy to make a perfect bouquet for my mumsie! Ps. They had some amazzziing rainbow roses which must have had their individual petals dyed. I wish I could have bought some for myself!
