The event is free, just bring your pieces of eight for food and shopping. Free parking can be found in the field on Federal Hwy across from the event. There is nonstop entertainment in the form of singers, magicians, story tellers, and aerialists. You can buy food from the event vendors or at one of the restaurants lining the street. There is an entire pirate encampment where you can learn what life was like when swashbucklers ruled the seas. There is a ton of activities for kids including a pirate ship they play on and bounce houses. While the kiddies are having fun adults can sip on the kind of beverages Jack Sparrow likes. Don't forget the mermaids. You don't think they are real? Well you can find them here in their grotto and have your picture taken with them and watch as they splash in their pool. There is so much going on at this festival that there is some form of entertainment happening every minute. There isn't shade or seats unless you are eating so be prepared for the heat and to walk a lot. I really love this festival. It is like a Renaissance festival but with pirates and mermaids. The costumes people wear to attend are so elaborate and fun to see. There is so much to experience and best all, unlike a lot of the festivals around here, admission is free!

The food area was pretty much all grouped together as was the vendor space was in two distinct areas. It was wild to see so many "characters" walking around in full costume. The weather was scorching but there were plenty of places to get adult and nonadult beverages. I wad also impressed by how safe I felt at the festival. Planty of uniform BB officers as well as safe parking and safe road closures. Uber I by far the best option. The music stages were great too. I cannot wait until next year to return!

Nicknamed the "Greatest Show under the Sun" this is one of the largest arts & craft festival in the Southeast with over 500 vendors, food options & official merchandise for sale too. It was a very very crowded day here. I'm amazed we found free street parking a block away. I wore my Delray Affair shirt from previous years. We arrived at 1:00 and found metered parking off Atlantic Ave. Happily the app was changed for the weekend so we could stay here all day. Shuttle bus & free golf cart transport was available for the weekend. We walked along 7 blocks of palm tree lined streets in downtown Delray Beach. The Delray Affair has received numerous awards for its 'eclectic' mixture of art, great crafts & funky products from around the world. Artists & crafters from all around the country exhibit here.

It was one long street filled with artwork and vendors. I think event reached the beach. I could not walk that far. I had such a good time here. I am doing it again next year. They had so many food vendors and it smelled so good. They were located betweenthe streets. I ended up getting some kettle corn. I could not resist. They also had many restaurants located next to the event to choose from. The event is free and it's three days long. It is very well organized. Finding a public bathroom was an adventure. There are parking spots near the event and a garage. The city also provided a shuttle that came every thirty minutes.

It is about half the size of the one I recently attended in Delray Beach but it had a lot of the same vendors. You could purchase plants, accessories, pet items, soap, art, and all kinds of handmade goods. One of my students broke my heart necklace that I purchased at the last festival but of course with my luck that vendor wasn't here. Hopefully I will run into him on the circuit again. I did end up purchasing a small sea turtle bag because I need to carry assorted treats on me at all times for the students. Another item I really liked at this festival is the handmade tortilla warmers or microwave pot holders. You can put an item in it, microwave, and easily lift it out without getting burned. The holidays are getting closer so it's time to start stocking up on gifts. This is a great place to browse if you are in the area.

People of all ages can come with their families, friend, ​and pets, to spend a great time together while listening to two different groups of Jazz bands. My friends Michael and Goldie along with Greshka and Tim ​hosted a picnic/brunch where we all got to go and take our food and drinks. They had a nice spot and we all took beach chairs, blankets and/or towels to seat and have a good time. My friends brought delicious food that we enjoyed while we listened to the Jazz band playing beautiful and fresh music. Thank you guys, I had sooooo much fun! The weather was fantastic, the river view was simply perfect and the ambiance​​ of all the people gathered​ was so nice. I felt amazing and I cant wit to go back next month. After we ate our brunch, three friends and I went for a walk and it turns out there was another band in the main stage, playing​ spectacular Jazz. Along the way, ​we saw a couple of vendors selling different type of stuff, from handmade shirts ​to pottery, and more. They have portable restrooms. There is a public parking garage where you can park for only $5 and stay for this event. I didn't know about it and parked on the streets ending up paying $6.70 which is not that bad. When they open the gate at 7pm, you are in within 5 minutes. They give you a wine glass and plate that holds the wine glass....this is very important at an event like this so you have a free hand to stuff your face:) The only booth with a line was MEAT. The burger was worth the wait! There was plenty of food and drink throughout the night. They had more tables this year to rest your plate and stand and eat at. The event is spread out so you don't feel overcrowded. All the vendors were friendly. There were plenty of trash cans to throw your sample plates away. You got to vote on your favorite dish. I chose Dada's bacon wrapped goat cheese stuffed dates. They are amazing! The live music was great too. There is parking in the garage just to the north of the venue. Overall, a great night!

This was my first year attending the Delray Bash (thanks to Yelp) and I brought along Vianka A, as…read moremy guest. There was a pretty long line at the entrance into the event, but surprisingly it moved quickly. Once we made it inside the event, we were handed a plastic tray along with a plastic wine glass (which made is 10xs easier to hold our samples/drinks). Of course we didn't know what to sample and drink first, so we started at the Bombay booth. We grabbed a spot in line for some type of mixed drink that was made with Bombay (of course). When we finally got to the front of the line, the bartender provided us the steps with making our own drink and we were able to make our own drink. We then made our way down to the booths with food. We started with Cabo Flats Cantina and sampled guacamole and ceviche. I thought the guacamole was good, but it wasn't anything to rave about. And of course I didn't try the ceviche, since I don't eat seafood/shellfish. We then went over to M.E.A.T. Eatery and Taproom and stood in line for 30 minutes, literally. We sampled the King Jelly, which was an enormous bite of burger, bacon, onion ring, fresh banana, and spicy jelly. I thought this burger was DELICIOUS and dropped the golden coin into their jar, hopefully they win! If i had to change one thing about the burger - I would fry the banana, LOL. We then went over to Luigi's Coal Oven Pizza and sampled a slice of cheese pizza, a meatball, and mozzarella in carrozza. I thought the food was good. But out of all 3 samples, I enjoyed the mozarella in carrozza. It was a perfect bite of freshness. We then went over to Mastino Italian Soul Food by Solita and sampled a meatball. This meatball wasn't just a plain old meatball. This meatball was delicious and packed with flavor. We then went over to Nature's Way Cafe and sampled avocado hummus served on pita bread. I didn't think this dish was going to be anything special, but it was actually great. It had a really great freshness that I enjoyed. We then went over to Buddah Sky Bar and sampled pineapple fried rice. I've never had pineapple fried rice before. I thought the combinations of the flavors were pretty good. The event was only 2 hours long and time was running out, since we were back and forth between the Bombay booths and the food booths. So the last booth we attended was Seasons 52 and sampled the mini deserts. I sampled the mini carrot cake and the mini chocolate cake. I thought the mini carrot cake was delicious. I'm usually a huge fan of J Alexander's carrot cake, but this carrot cake could complete with J's. And I'm usually a huge chocolate fan, but this mini chocolate cake had too much chocolate for me. It literally tasted like I dipped my spoon inside a container of chocolate icing. There were a couple of downsides.. There weren't many tables to stand at. There weren't many chairs to sit at. The lines were pretty long. The vendors ran out of food earlier than 9pm. But with all that being said, I had a great time at the event, thanks again to Yelp!

The Alabama Shakes crowd is a chill one, so a lot of people had blankets and were sitting on the outdoor lawn. We got a nice standing spot up front and caught a vibe all night. Some people brought lawn chairs but it seems like the venue has different dates or events where lawn chairs or acceptable or not, this was not that night. Parking is not too far away so they put them back and came back with blankets to sit on. There are a variety of food and beverage vendors. Pizza, sandwiches, hot dogs, empanadas, fries, cocktails, beer, lemonade, water-- there is something for everyone here.

There is no formal seating it's all lawn seating. Nice Amphitheater with a view of a lake and they have restrooms. There are food vendors so there's plenty to eat. You cannot bring in food you're only allowed to bring in one sealed bottle of water. The Acoustics and lighting were good. And there is plenty of free parking which is a bonus these days since most venues charge $ 20 plus to park

The purpose of the Pompano Beach Historical society is to collect and preserve the history of…read morePompano Beach, the second oldest city in Broward County and the fifth oldest city in South Florida. Pompano Beach was incorporated in 1908. You can find the building for the historical society in Founders Park. The Historical Society holds many events in the city including today's second annual Road Show and Vintage Yard Sale. Held in Founders Park, the event included a tag sale with antique, vintage, and new items. Items included jewelry, furniture, home decor, holiday decorations, collectibles, toys, and books. Items were priced to sell. I loved a toaster from the 1930's but ended up taking a unique basket and Christmas light home with me. Also on hand were professional appraisers who would give their opinion on items people brought with them for a $10 donation. The historic Kester cottages on the grounds were decorated for Christmas and open for self tours. I love the Historical Society and all of the great work they do in Pompano. Right now they are working on raising funds to turn the historic McNab House into a restaurant. The also have a booth at the Green Market and they give historical bus tours of Pompano. It was a pleasure to support them today.
