This is a great free event for the whole family. It takes place every first Friday of the month in old town Pompano.Every month they have live music. This month the theme band was Irish and they were really good. They have plenty of food trucks with all types of food and there's always three or four local craft breweries there to give you free samples. The art building is open and all the artist are there to show off there Art work.Plenty of craft vendor's selling all of there hand made items. The city put in a Waltzing water fountain to music and lights that plays every half hour. I believe it gets bigger and better every month.

On the first Friday of the month from 6:00pm - 9:00pm, Old Town Untapped is the best place to be in Pompano Beach! There's live music, art vendors, food vendors, food trucks, and of course....free craft beer samples from local breweries! This monthly event is a LOT of fun and family friendly! There's fun stuff to check out around the entire block - pop into BACA (Bailey Contemporary Arts) and check out the art exhibits on the first floor and then the art studios of the artists in residence on the 2nd floor! There's even a coffee shop on the first floor - Blooming Bean Coffee. The bands at Old Town Untapped are always consistently good and there is plenty of seating at picnic tables and in lawn chairs they provide by the stage.

It began at 2 Pm and ended just after 800 with the fireworks show . Many vendors and tables to visit and purchase from locally. I did notice they decided to charge $20 for non residents for the rides to get a wristband and free for residents this year. There was a drama theatre show and some others which I missed. It did rain at one point and they had to clear the field because of the lightning alarms that went off. I was actually about to leave anyway for the day and return later in the evening for the "Hot Hits" band and fireworks show from Zambelli which is always amazing. They situated the tent to eat food and sit down towards the back so not in the middle of everything which was much better. I also noticed a fenced off area from the main stage which seemed weird since it was separated from each side so not many were dancing as it was in the years past and the rain in between put a little damper on it too. Something new this year was a cooking demonstration from the Chef and owner of the restaurant Setto Mezza showing how to make fresh mozzarella. There was a $5 admission for that tent which also included a sample too which was delicious The shuttle bus from casino was available as usual, if not you had to park in the neighborhood because closer parking is for vendors and officials . The regular carnival food was available to purchase throughout the day . Many vendors to visit during the day with some goodies too.

This year residents get to ride for free, non residents pay a $20 entrance fee if they want to go on the rides. The rainy weather put a pause on the events and rides but once it finish the show went on. The fireworks got cut 5 mins short due to the cloudy conditions and limited view of the lights. But overall great experience. See ya next year!

People put so much work and effort into this festival. We totally appreciate it. The things we love about the Florida Renaissance Festival is you feel like you've been lifted out of this regular world into a whole new place and everybody makes that happen that works there. The beautiful ambience of the park the decor all around, the awesome artworks that people create, the costumes. The music is one of my all-time favorites. It's part of the reason why I come here every year. Also you can try so many different types of foods that's always so exciting. I love dressing up, wearing costumes and walking through the park talking with other like-minded people. We enjoyed so many shows this year from the Washing Well Winches, to the guy playing the Bells, all the different Irish bands, like Celtic mayhem, one of my favorites is the band from Italy Rota they are awesome especially when they play in the street and we can dance all around so fun. Also love watch art demonstrations, Thanks again Florida Renaissance Festival for making this year great!

Also jousting and horsriding competitions and cannon & trebuchet firing. There was Archery, Axe throwing, a maze, sword fighting and instruction, cobbling, jewelry making. A variety of activities for kids as well as adults. Especially adults who want to be kids...like me! Lol Souvenir shops with items that you don't see every day, like a dragon egg candle that once melted reveals a baby dragon just like in Game of Thrones! Also good food and drinks throughout the park. I didn't think I would spend that much time here but I spent the entire day practically without even realizing time had passed! A great time to immerse yourself in a world of fantasy, merriment & amazement! I truly enjoyed everything here!

It began as a two day off-shoot of the Pompano Beach Fishing Rodeo. First held on East Atlantic Blvd. leading up to the beach it started off small but quickly grew. By 1989,the event grew to include concerts on the beach. In 1990 and 1991 it became a three day event separate from the Fishing Rodeo and moved to the last weekend of April when it has been held ever since. In the mid nineties national recording acts were added to the festival. Proceeds from the festival are used to benefit 12 local charities. The new pier and restaurants at the beach have driven the festival inland and it is now held at Community Park. I hate to knock an event that supports charity but this event is completely overpriced. They start draining your wallet before you even hit the door. They were charging $10 to park in the free park where the event was held! My tip is to park across the street at the dog park and walk over. I hesitate to even write that because next year they will catch on and charge there too. Once you hit the gate it is a $20 per adult entrance fee. I have been to many festivals throughout Florida, some even held for charity and this is the only one I know that charges an entrance fee. They spend a lot of time and money gating the event and then having people patrol it. Maybe instead of spending that money, donate that to charity and just let people in. If you are a single person you have just spend $30 before you even stepped inside. I can't imagine that makes people inclined to spend money at the merchandise and food vendors who are paying to be there. Also of note, the music talent was all local so they weren't paying for a national act. This event is pricing out the Pompano community in favor of only the wealthy. With gas prices and the economy what it is I can't fathom their thought process. I know many people who didn't go this year because of the jacked up prices. For instance Papa Hughie's Seafood World was one of the festival vendors. You can just save yourself $30 and get a good meal at the restaurant down the street. I wish they would consider going back to their roots and stage a more affordable festival.

They were able to raise enough funds to turn the original church into a parish hall where the festival is now held. 2025 commemorated the 41st year of the festival which has grown to draw thousands of visitors over the third weekend in February. It is now one of the largest fundraisers for St Coleman's elementary school and parish. Festival parking is available between the church and parish hall or in the shopping plaza across the street. Admission to the festival is free. The St. Coleman's Italian Festival includes a craft fair in the parish auditorium, numerous carnival rides for all ages, games, a silent auction, winners choice raffle, food, and live music. Of course an Italian festival would not be complete without food and they had a tempting assortment from local businesses that included hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders fries, bowls, grilled chicken sandwiches, Caesar salad, subs, corn dogs, pizza, mozzarella sticks, cannoli, fried dough, and more. A single ticket was $2 but you could save money if you purchased 30 tickets for $20. Ride tickets start at $2.00 for each single ticket as well but could be purchased at a discount in packets of 15 for $20, 20 for $25 or unlimited rides during posted sessions for $30. My friend and I had a fun time walking around taking in the festive atmosphere. We eventually made out way to the back where I enjoyed a performance by Turnstiles, a Billy Joel tribute band and my friend made a few bucks playing the popular Over Under game. If you come with a family for food and rides this event can get pricey fast but proceeds are for a good cause. I like that they don't charge admission and have free entertainment. In the case of my friend, she left a few dollars richer than she came in.

Throughout the night I saw a lot of people I knew and many of the kids who go to my school. So fun to see everyone in costumes.
