Ugh we are embroiled in a nasty confrontation with Elizabeth's (now former) piano teacher. He wouldn't let her play the piano in her recital because she "wasn't ready" but he would accompany her on guitar and she could sing for an extra $30 . So I learned to play the sheet music so I could accompany her for free and he still wouldn't let her perform. So we said we won't be back could we have our $150 for June back and he said no we can't get our money back. Cue a bunch of angry texts later (on both sides) and he still refuses to refund us. What would you do? Should I drop it? Is it worth the $150?

She was so great and I would recommend anyone interested in an intro to calligraphy class choose her class. She spent a lot of time walking around to each individual to check out technique and gave tips to improve. You also receive a nice starter kit with all the essentials to practice. Fullosophie- strange that courses don't mention how long they are nor do you receive any communication outside of a receipt and a reminder the day before. Class stated "light brunch" to be served. I'm not sure how wine, popcorn, and fun size snickers qualify as "light brunch"- feels more like an afterthought. The space is cute, it's one room in a house on Bryan Street shared by a floral design shop. It's a bit difficult to find since there are no signs confirming you're in the right place. I like the idea of Fullosophie and have high hopes for future classes.

Its only the third year the conference has been national and from what I hear its only one of a few conferences that was made for students. It was a great experience, they got some great speakers, were very well organized, and my friends and I got to meet a lot of local design students in the process. She is also very sensitive and can relate well to all different types of personalties. This summer camp combines art and theatre to keep your kid entertained on many levels. Both of my kids enjoyed this program for several years. I made the mistake of trying a different one in Richardson one summer, and it was pretty blah, in comparison. We went back to Capers the next year. The director hires very talented and high energy teachers and everyone seemed to be having a fantastic experience. You will not be disappointed.

It was fun to see how everyone's painting turned out different, but all pretty! I loved that we could do a one night event, but my family is looking at some of the other offerings they have for multi-night painting classes and summer kid camps.
