She went in to grab some detergent on sale, and as soon as we got to the register, the cashier--Mahendra, an older Indian man--called his manager over, claiming he needed approval for the purchase. He then said, "you people come in and buy all the detergent on sale to resell it." My sister immediately confronted him, asking, "Who is 'you people'?" He then claimed she wasn't buying the detergent for her home. How does he think he knows what someone's purchasing it for? She had 4 Tide, 4 Gain, and 4 fabric softeners because they were 4/$10--perfectly within the sale limits. When the manager arrived, even she seemed taken aback by his comments. She ended up ringing us up herself because she clearly didn't agree with what he said. If this hadn't been the third Walgreens we'd visited (since the others were sold out), we would've left everything right there. It's outrageous for our money to go to a store where we're treated like this. As soon as we left, my sister called corporate to file a complaint against Mahendra. Then we remembered Walgreens! We ran as fast as we could over there. A very nice employee pointed us to the exact battery we needed, and we were in and out within two minutes! Plus, I got a second back up battery for free thanks to my Walgreens Wellness card (which is completely free and easy to sign up for, I highly recommend it. You'll save big bucks)! So we got in our garage and all was well. We just took a trip over there tonight because we didn't gave any sweets in our house so we raided the Walgreens candy and frozen section. Single serve cheesecakes, Charleston chews, and skittles. Mmm! I also use their photo department every time I need pics developed. They are so easy to upload onto the website from home, so cheap to develop, and so quick to pick up. Although it says an hour, I can usually get them in under an hour. It's really great. The store is always really clean and neatly organized. They have a full staff available at all times and they are always polite and willing to help in any way. I've used the pharmacy once and they were also really great. I will continue to happily frequent this walgreens!

They know my boyfriend by his cigarette order, and me? They know me by my biggest guilty pleasure. I'm gonna share a secret with you, Yelpers. Three little words that will change your lives forever. And they are... Vanilla long john. I'm serious. I've driven 60 miles to specialty bakeries and tried every donut I can get my hands on (just call me Homerette), but nothing compares to what you'll find here. The dough is soft, tender and moist with just the slightest hint of sweetness and the gentle caress of a fryer. And the frosting is like angels' wings. I'm drooling just thinking about them. Try them. You'll soon realize why they're almost always out by 2pm: people like me have gone in and swiped them all. If you're there for anything else, the merchandise is fresh and abundant, the store is brightly-lit and very clean. I can't count how many times I've seen the managers dusting, sweeping, or mopping.
