Very friendly bar staff and the banter is to die for. As a freehouse they stock a good selection of ales and the 60/- ale is a great wee session thirst-quencher. Took my better half into the lounge bar and she was well impressed with the salubrious fittings. Apparently a well-known Paisely troubadour (no names!) is known to occasionally frequent this fine hostelry.
Price wise, this knocks spots off any city-centre bar, and as a nod to changing tastes the coffee is spot on. Good selection of malts behind the bar, and the measures are bigger than the miserable sizes in Madchester.
The pool table is brand new, though the locals are total sharks at pool and know their game.
Highly recommend a visit. read more
