Always good, from the moment you arrive until you leave. It's hard to say something negative about Dr. Azling's office.

This is a great dentist office! Everyone that works here, the receptionist, office manager, dental hygienists, and Dr. Azling are warm, welcoming and very professional. They have tvs and headphones for you to listen to and watch while you are having work done. You can also get a blanket if you're cold. I had a temporary crown done and Dr. Azling called me at home to see how I was doing. I went back today and received these beautiful flowers and a thank you for being a long time patient. If you are in need of a dentist, give them a call.

If your looking for a 1st class, pain free dental office, Dr Azling is the choice to make. His staff of friendly, competent and professional women are amazing. They go above and beyond to provide each patient with top notch customer service. It starts when you walk through the door. The front office ladies Diana and Catalina(there are others but these 2 stand out for me) greet you by your name. How cool is that. No sign in sheets, they know who you are and who your there to see. Diana organize your treatments in order of importance and is mindful of your budget and insurance. The hygienist are the best. They not only work on your teeth and gums, they educate you on how to keep them healthy. I got veneers on my front teeth a few months ago (which are spectacular) Dr Azling gave me flowers and thanked me. I was surprised. My husband had oral surgery done on 1 of his tooth. Around 8pm (after work hours)Dr Azling called him to see how he was doing. How thoughtful was that! If you are afraid of the dentist please contact them. Once your there all your fears will disappear. They work hard to make sure you don't feel any pain during your procedure. My husband and I enjoy going to the dentist now. It's like hanging out with friends.

Thank you for making my bday special

But in this case, I feel it's important to share. I came to this office years ago after moving to Cerritos, right before my wedding, simply looking for a new dentist and a routine cleaning. They had great reviews, which is why I trusted them. From the start, I was told I had extensive issues--multiple cavities needed to be redone and several crowns were recommended. This was surprising to me, as I've consistently gone to the dentist and had never been told I needed such drastic work. Still, I trusted their assessment. The procedures that followed were some of the most painful dental experiences I've ever had. They took hours, felt extremely aggressive, and left me in severe pain afterward--far beyond what I've ever experienced with dental work. I have a high pain tolerance, and this felt very wrong. What was most frustrating was what happened next. I returned multiple times explaining that I couldn't sleep, eat, or function due to the pain. Each time, my concerns were dismissed and attributed to things like not flossing (umm I couldn't floss because of the extreme pain), which didn't make sense given the level of pain I was in. After pushing back repeatedly--especially with my wedding just days away--I insisted something was seriously wrong and requested further evaluation. It turned out I needed three root canals as a result of their prior work. Separately, the crowns that were placed caused ongoing issues. Eating anything with texture would cause gum pain, and I noticed unusual gaps that trapped food. When I brought this up, I was told the only solution was to redo the crowns at additional cost. My crowns also came off. Later, I happened to see a different dentist at the same office (a female provider who may have been temporary), and she immediately noted that the crowns had been placed at an awkward angle. She corrected them, and since then, I've had no pain and no further issues such as crowns falling off. I ultimately switched dentists and have not needed any major dental work since--just routine cleanings every six months, with no recurring problems. Based on what I went through--particularly the aggressive treatment, the outcome, and the dismissal of my concerns--I feel it's important for others to have full context before making a decision.

She did it on purpose because she enjoys making things difficult for people. As a result of her not sending the email & playing games sending me blank refferal form I was forced to leave my appointment. From the time I asked her to please send over the referral to the time. I always picture white-knuckling it...whether anticipatory or actual, again, both for me. It's no secret, most people find the dentist visits to be nerve wracking. Today I needed a revision on two crowns placed years ago by the previous dentist that occupied this space, Dr. James Surdilla-miss him dearly, he's moved away. I dreaded it. Maria, their trusted receptionist extraordinaire, ready with her wit & banter, "Okay , Jennifer, just take a seat while they prepare the torture chamber". I appreciate a great sense of humor & it comforted me that they're very friendly & efficient, too. Janet prepared with dental X-rays and was informative & forthcoming. Enter Dr. Susie Kim, with an easy smile & reassuring words. She explained my procedure well. Anticipatory anxiety started to roll in but was alleviated after the needle I barely felt was done doing its job-to numb the area. After all that's said & done, was quoted an hour & a half-almost precise, I'm impressed! I'm not saying that I will stop gripping the dentist chair like a boa constrictor & its prey...but perhaps I will let go a tiny bit to give it a break. I shall return for the permanent crown in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, no eating or chewing anything sticky or hard, gargle with warm saltwater for 24 hours. After paying for my co-pay, Janet gave me the breakdown w/o me asking for it, I appreciated that. Note: If the drill gets to loud, request for earplugs, Dr. Kim offered them-nice lady! It's surprising I would give 5 stars for a dental practice but they do deserve it.
