I have nothing but good things to say about Jax Dental Implants and Dentures... I did my research…read moreand they were the only dental practice that I would go with...I didn't even need to get a consultation with anyone else..Right from the beginning the staff and doctors have been fantastic. from the surgery, which I was terrified and nervous about but it all went great and didn't even need the pain meds they prescribed to the pricing and the follow ups. I have been through 3 sets of temps but I move on to my finals in a couple of weeks....They have been very patient and understanding with my request from the color and shape of my finals to my request for appointment times... Both Dr. McCree and Dr. Russell are very well qualified....Thanks also to Lulu and Rose....both are very sweet. Glenda M

I am not just disappointed--I am angry…read more After years of treatment with JAX Dental Implant, I believed my account balance was **$0**. I returned expecting to have an impression made for my implant tooth, only to be blindsided with charges they claimed dated back to **2022**. These charges were never clearly communicated to me when the services were provided. Had I been informed at the time, I could have worked with my dental insurance while the claims were still timely. Because these charges were presented years later, I lost any meaningful opportunity to seek insurance reimbursement. What made an already upsetting situation even worse was the way I was treated by the billing representative. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt I was treated with hostility instead of professionalism. I was met with an unfriendly expression and immediately handed a stack of billing papers, making me feel as though I had intentionally failed to pay a large debt. Rather than taking the time to explain the situation or answer my questions respectfully, I felt dismissed and judged. When I told the office that I intended to file a complaint with the Florida Board of Dentistry regarding the surprise billing, I later received a text message stating that **my demeanor was disrespectful**. I believe patients have every right to be upset when they are presented with unexpected bills years after treatment--especially when that delay prevents them from seeking insurance coverage. Expressing legitimate concerns should not be used to shift the focus away from the underlying billing issues. This experience destroyed my trust in this practice. Patients deserve honesty, transparency, timely billing, and respectful treatment. No one should be blindsided by years-old charges or made to feel intimidated for asking questions and standing up for themselves.

This review is long overdue. I strongly encourage anyone considering treatment with this provider…read moreto conduct thorough research before making a decision. There are serious questions prospective patients should ask themselves: What is Dr. Franco's full legal name? How could two individuals reportedly pass away after receiving implant procedures under his care in 2023 and 2025? Does Dr. Franco possess the appropriate credentials to perform advanced implant surgeries? Is he formally trained and certified as a Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and does that distinction matter in his current practice? Why was he reportedly terminated by his former employer, Dental Alliance, around April 2021 for allegedly misrepresenting himself? These are not minor concerns. They are questions that directly impact patient safety and transparency. I personally explored Florida Dental Implant Studio and initially had a phone consultation on December 30, 2025. I provided my own X-rays for review, and I was encouraged to come into the office the very next day, December 31, to determine next steps. I met with Dr. Franco and spent over three hours in consultation. After that lengthy meeting, I placed a $3,000 deposit. Additionally, I was required to pay a 2.5% processing fee--an extra $78--simply for using my Visa card. This immediately left a negative impression. Being charged a fee to pay for services felt exploitative and unnecessary, especially for a medical provider. It did not sit well with me. Upon reviewing the treatment plan, I realized the total quoted price for upper implants and two additional single implants was $31,444. When I compared this to competitors offering similar procedures and comparable warranties, the difference was significant: Jax Implants: $24,299 (a savings of $7,195) ClearChoice: $27,600 (a savings of $3,844) Despite similar services and warranties, Florida Dental Implant Studio's pricing was substantially higher. I left the office feeling confused and unsettled. In addition to the quoted total, the 2.5% card fee and an additional $1,376 added to the overall bill made the financial structure feel unclear. Although the procedure was scheduled for January 12, 2026, and I felt relieved at the thought of addressing my dental challenges, I simultaneously felt uncomfortable moving forward. As I walked to my car, I experienced a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. Something told me to pause and do more research. It seemed unusual that an upscale practice would "nickel and dime" patients with additional fees, especially for substantial procedures. I contacted the office manager, CJ, to request postponing the procedure so I could further review the treatment plan--specifically the necessity of the two single implants--and to express my unwillingness to pay the 2.5% Visa processing fee. I offered to provide a cashier's check on the day of the procedure instead. I was informed that full payment would be required prior to the scheduled procedure date. When I questioned why full payment was required in advance, I was given an explanation, and we agreed I would follow up the following week. Even after that conversation, I still did not feel comfortable proceeding. However, I initially dismissed my concerns as normal anxiety about undergoing a significant dental procedure. As a praying woman, I believe in listening to discernment. One evening while browsing YouTube, I came across a report regarding an implant doctor connected to two patient deaths following implant procedures. After watching the "Dateline Jacksonville 2025" segment, I was horrified. Suddenly, my earlier discomfort made sense. The report raised additional concerns about patient safety, oversight, and emergency preparedness. As an educated consumer, I began asking more questions about whether I would receive proper medical support if complications arose during surgery. Ultimately, I concluded that I was not comfortable putting my health--and potentially my life--at risk. I contacted CJ again and informed her of my decision to cancel services and requested the return of my $3,078 deposit. She stated she would consult the finance department and follow up. A week later, I was informed that my deposit would not be refunded because it was being applied as the doctor's consultation fee. This was never clearly explained to me as a non-refundable consultation fee at the time of payment. I believed it was a deposit toward services. It was my intention to write this review earlier, but I felt it was important to share my full experience thoughtfully and responsibly. Patients deserve transparency, clarity in pricing, and confidence in the credentials and safety practices of any provider performing invasive surgical procedures. Please do your research. Ask questions. Trust your instincts. Buyer beware. Dateline Jacksonville 2025 See Report; https://youtu.be/oygqkqu29SM?si=iZgUVwyoh7nk2msy

On 2/6 around 9am, I contacted The dental office to relay information from my insurance company to…read moreresubmit the claim. because we have two ins carriers, there is an order in which they should be submitted...The Receptionist lost her cool after I told her and I won't be able to pay the 1700 bill & the insurance will cover it. My first statement to her was that I could not hear her if she is yelling . She proceeded to talk over me saying she was not yelling and I needed to listen to her. I listened ... she yelled, "when you go into Publix 'to buy chicken..." I ignored that because it was obvious she was vibrating low on this good Monday morning. I said Ma'am, we aren't talking about Publix, we are talking about you resubmitting a claim like Jen used to do when the insurance company gave any pushback. I guess that was good, old fashioned, long gone customer service. Thanks Jen, wherever you are. It is certainly my responsibility and I will handle it with the companies we pay to cover these expenses. The next thing I told her was that she was being extremely unprofessional. It was early so obviously no one was in the waiting area... she was loud. Still talking over me, she proceeded to tell me that they were very professional taking care of me and my family. She's 95% correct there; however, let's bring it to the current moment.... Her behavior is unacceptable and anyone in the office on Monday morning can vouch for that. I understand she's upset about not getting her money right away, but I'll continue to do my best to get it resolved. The meantime, go ahead and take me and my family off the books. As soon as I resolve the matter, I will be transferring our 4 sets of dental records elsewhere. There is no way I can ignore that type of abuse and continue to bring my family there for dental services. I went into the office the following morning Because I didn't want to chance not making progress By getting Mrs Lee ( obviously who she is because she is sooooo mad) on the phone with all that yelling and no listening. I was able to speak to a different representative who canceled all future appointments and also had called and received the information I was trying to relay. Let me mention, that throughout my conversation with the other young lady, the Asian lady kept jumping up to bring me policies, and to tell me she isn't listening to me because I don't pay my bills, and how she's sending me to collections. I told her to send it. If that's your job, do it. In the meantime I'll be getting someone else to pay this bill- the insurance company). I'm not new to this, I know all of my responsibilities, rights, laws, credit and all. You'll get paid. I'll remove your bad mark. Wala! Everyone will be happy. Well, I don't know about you. You're mean. She also wanted me to say thank you, and I Obliged. Sorry for the delay; however, someone needs to have a serious talk with her-even though we all know she won't listen- or doesn't have to listen, but try some water yoga or meditation bc she went berserk on the phone and in person. Just crazy

A Smile Is a Choice. Safety Is Not. -- My Experience at ClearChoice Jacksonville…read more I never imagined I would be writing this review. I came to ClearChoice Jacksonville with the hope of restoring my smile and improving my quality of life. A smile is personal -- it affects your confidence, your comfort, and how you show up in the world. Unfortunately, my experience as a patient has been extremely disappointing and stressful. After beginning treatment, I experienced ongoing pain and complications that significantly impacted my daily life. As my concerns increased, I made multiple attempts to communicate directly with the Jacksonville ClearChoice office and resolve my concerns privately before sharing my experience publicly. During my visits, I raised concerns regarding my care and the environment where I was receiving treatment. One of my major concerns was repeatedly having to remind staff about hand hygiene before gloves were placed on. As a patient trusting a dental office with an extensive procedure, I did not expect to feel responsible for repeatedly advocating for basic safety practices. I am also a disabled veteran and communicated my disability-related concerns to the office. During one of my visits, I noticed a dog present inside the dental office. I asked the front desk receptionist whose dog it was, and I was informed that it was the dentist's service dog. I expressed my concerns based on my disability and my need to feel comfortable and safe while receiving care. I requested consideration regarding my treatment environment. My concern was not about denying anyone else's accommodation. My concern was about communicating my own disability-related needs as a patient and requesting that they be addressed respectfully. Unfortunately, I left the interaction feeling that my concerns were not handled with the understanding and compassion I expected from a healthcare provider. As my pain continued, I requested my medical records and treatment documentation so I could fully understand my care and provide the necessary information for continued treatment. Despite multiple attempts to communicate and follow up, I have experienced delays and a lack of response to my requests. What has been most upsetting is not only the physical pain, but also the feeling of not being heard as a patient. I made every effort to communicate respectfully and provide opportunities for resolution before sharing my experience publicly. After exhausting those efforts, I am sharing my story because patients deserve to make informed decisions when choosing a provider for something as important as their health and their smile. Dental implant treatment is a major decision -- financially, physically, and emotionally. Patients deserve clear communication, compassion, safety, and trust throughout the entire process. My hope is that ClearChoice Jacksonville takes patient concerns seriously and uses feedback like this as an opportunity to improve communication, patient care, and the overall patient experience.
