What a neat little spot for breakfast. While on our trip we were looking for something quick and to go. We got their breakfast burrito and split that and it's huge and filling so you can def share that. It was very well made very flavorful and loved the side pico de gallo that comes with it. I could have done without the sour cream on top make it kinda messy to eat but over all the burrito was amazing. We also got a sandwich to go for after our hike and they come with chips as well. Their pastries are amazing and are fresh! We scored a peanut butter cookie that was massive and was so dang good and soft. Their coffee selection was great and I was skeptical about the OJ I asked if it was fresh and they said no but they showed me the gallon it came from and it was delicious it was a 8.5 of freshness and had some pulp in there. I always prefer fresh squeezed but this fulfilled the craving. The vibes in here are cozy there is plenty of seating for you to drink your coffee catch up in a book or just hang with a friend. They have a section where you can borrow a book and just hang as well. Their bathroom theme was great and clean as well. Overall their service was great and I'd come back. Came here to get coffee and a breakfast sandwich to eat right away, and lunch to-go for the plane. This place was highly recommended of a local friend. Best espresso coffee drink I've ever had! I will dream of... The Mexican Mocha. Real Mexican chocolate. Homemade cream. Cinnamon on top. OMG! So so good! Yes the breakfast burrito was also delicious. I couldn't finish it; it's very large but tasty. I asked if it was hot due to the peppers and she suggested I order it with regular sour cream; Their spiced sour cream in it might be too hot. I did and it was ok. No big kick. I ate the breakfast there. Loved the ambiance inside although the outdoor tables looked relaxing too. After a discussion with the hostess and chef (?), I chose the vegetable hummus sandwich on wheat as my to-go lunch to eat on the plane many hours later. Surprisingly, it held up. This place has it all. The coffee and food were quality and the service was friendly. The atmosphere is inviting: plants, a mix of tables inside and outside, plus a small reading area in the back corner. The music was some cool funk the day I was there, and thankfully wasn't too loud. Some places the music is so loud or is coming from so many speakers you can't hear yourself think. It's a cafe so there are lots of people talking and coffee being ground and dishes clanking (like you would expect!) but somehow it all works. I needed to study a bit that day and I was able to. We stayed overnight in Twin Falls on a long cross-country road trip. Everywhere we stay on long trips, we try to find a local spot to get coffee in the morning. Java struck us as an awesome place to relax with friends in the morning and enjoy a breakfast. We saw many groups doing just that. Smiles all around. Great coffee, friendly people, good service. Would definitely come back here. However, I do have to make a note that the staff does not wear masks. There is a review floating around somewhere about a sign on their door raging about how masks don't work, but I definitely have to make a note about how that review stretches the truth quite a bit. The truth: There IS a sign on the door that says employees don't wear masks. It's not ragey at all and doesn't say a word about masks not working. It's actually quite polite. It says that they get a lot of phone orders and it's a hassle for their employees to pull down their mask when they answer the phone. Important note: It ALSO says that they will gladly put a mask on to prepare your coffee or food if you ask them to. My experience in Idaho suggests you'll run into people without masks almost everywhere you go anyway. Not saying it's right, just saying don't be surprised. read more

I LOVE JAVA. I couldn't even tell you how many times I've been here. When I realized I'd never written a review, I thought what a disgrace! Part of me never thought about writing a review because I typically only write reviews when places are really great and not many people know about them. Everyone knows about Java. It is a cozy place to grab some coffee, tea, a small bite and catch up with friends or catch up on work. This is often where I go to meet up with friends and is always where I go to be productive. I'm not a coffee drinker, but they have a lovely selection of quality, loose leaf tea. They always have nice music playing and the Golden lighting and warm tones are welcoming. In here you will find students working, prominent members of the community catching up, and some old timers enjoying life. Love it here :) read more

After standing for several minutes and reviewing the menu and no one greeting us we just decided to leave. Apparently they were too busy to acknowledge customers and do not want to make money. We stumbled into this coffee house while on vacation. We did have a bit of trouble finding it as maps did not have the address and their Facebook did not have the North on the address. Once here however, we were pleasantly surprised at the exuberance of the employees and we immediately felt welcomed. Their vast selection food for people intolerant of gluten and other meaty substances will be delighted of the options provided. We recommend this place wholeheartedly. Love Java and regularly visit the Ketchum store when in Sun Valley. Stopped by the Twin Falls location en route to Phoenix. Not only were neither of the employees masked, but masks weren't required of the eight or so parties who entered the store and ordered there "to go" drinks. Every employee and customer was required to wear a mask in Ketchum (and did). Not sure why the Twin Falls store was so completely non-compliant but it was very disconcerting and disappointing. We chose this as a location from which to conduct a critical online business meeting while on the road. It was perfect in every respect, except for the loud repairman who found it necessary to constantly clang tools and yell during our online meeting discussions for a multi-million dollar contract. I did not notice any employee ask him to keep things quiet. Granted, it's to be expected anything can happen in a public environment, but this was much more noise than necessary in your average coffee shop. His explanation of what "Bowl of Soul" was instrumental in our decision to order it...and we were not disappointed. They were able to customize it with soy milk for my lactose intolerant husband. Came here around November on a Saturday around 11:30 am. The atmosphere is casual, relaxed, and definitely has that coffee house feel. The menu did offer more than just muffins and bread. I was able to get a coffee and eggs. My friends purchased tea and a salad. Other patrons were comfortably seated around the room in quiet conversation. There were a few small tables outside as well. This is the second time we stopped by this spot. Good coffee. Food was tasty and prepared with care. We had hummus sandwich, avocado toast and fruit, granola yogurt bowl. Little longer wait time for the because the place was busy, we received coffee quickly. Friendly folks working there were happy to fill out our water bottles for us. Only downside was the noise. Bright, airy, open with lots of seating and tables to read the paper or work out and the sun streaming in. Barista was super friendly as was the fellow taking our order who if I'm not mistaken also whipped up our eggs.Definitely the place to come in Twin Falls if you like a good coffee shop! After half a day of jumping off of a bridge, we were hungry. In all the times I've been to Twin Falls, at least one person recommends that we eat at Java and I always say, "no," because there are no items that appear to be vegan on their online menu. So, I reluctantly headed over to see what could be made vegan. When we got there, there was a long line. This is really a cafe that serves caffeine-addicted coffee drinkers. (You can tell I don't drink coffee.) When I asked about vegan options, they said there were a few things that could be made vegan, so I was happy. We placed our orders and sat down. Our meals came out pretty quickly. We both ordered the Kale and Quinoa Salad (sans feta) made with diced up kale, quinoa, craisins, walnuts, and a lemon dijon dressing. It was good, but nothing to write home about. And, for $9, it was a bit pricey considering how small it was. I might come back sometime to try the Veggie Hummus sandwich without the cheese, but something about how almost nothing is vegan on the menu without modifications bothers me. I was really excited to try this place since our last Yelp recommended place was a hit. It has a hypster kind of feel, a comfy sofa area and lots of 2 person tables. Sunday morning busy to be expected, so no big deal. I was anxious to try the food and taste the coffee i heard so much about. I ordered our food and paid, then waited for our coffees. The young gal was hurrying so fast she spilt my iced breve over the top while handing it to me. There was coffee down the side of the cup and over the counter. She cleaned up the counter but i had to ask for a napkin and she ROLLED her eyes at me and handed me a napkin. My husband's coffee was delicious. Mine was missing about 3 inches from the top of my 20 oz cup. Our food came and my husband's was missing the bacon and cottage cheese. I had the ham and cheese scramble. The waitress said she didnt hear me say he wanted a side of bacon and cottage cheese. Now i paid $33 so far. 2 twenty oz breves and scrambled eggs (missing bacon and cortage cheese) and my scramble. The waitress says she will go get his items and asks me to get in line to pay for it. So i leave my scramble to wait in line to pay again now for the stuff they forgot while my breakfast is getting cold. She brings my husband his food ( i am still in line) then she says. "Let me get that so you dont have to wait". I pay an additional $5 and go back to the table. My iced breve has no more ice, my steamed eggs now look and taste like the ones where u add water and stir. The toast is cold and my husband is almost done with his meal. I eat a few bites and am done. Disappointed and hitting the road unsatisfied. The rolling eyes and then the standing in line while everything got cold just killed it. I could have handled everything else. I just wanted a nice little breakfast and delicious iced coffee to start our day off right. I guess i wasn't hipster enough for the young gal. Maybe if you get what you ordered and could eat it right away, this would be a good spot. Just not for us today. read more
