    (4) ~ very good overall food & service. Note: It's bigger on the inside (more seating) than how it looks on the outside. DRINKS: ** Coffee Flight (hot) = (4.5) Very Cool! It's worth coming here for this:) ** White Chocolate Gingerbread Latte = (4.75) Great! ** Spiced Sugar Cookie Latte = (4.75) Great! ** White Coconut Christmas Latte = (4.5) Very Good! ** Peppermint Mocha = (4.25) Very good ** "Morning After" = (4) very good aka "Red Eye", is one shot of espresso in a cup a coffee;) ** Water (tap) = (4) very good, must be filtered;) ** Orange Juice (small) = (4) very fresh FOOD: ** Jacks (powdered sugar) = (4.25) Very good, probably the best beignets I've had...reminded me of a funnel cake;) Got a side, which is three, but an order is eight. * Hash Browns = (3.75) Good, but too salty * Chesapeake Crab Eggs Benedict = (3.25) pretty good but needed some Old Bay Seasoning...and the Crab was shredded, not "lump" ***Omelets = Might try next time b/c they use Real Eggs;) ***Apple Butter (homemade) = N/A Not Available... *** Chesapeake Crab Quiche = N/A Not Available...

My first impression as we walked into this house-restaurant was that this is a cute little coffee shop/lunch place with friendly staff ready to assist you with any questions or concerns. I wanted to stay for lunch; however, since we only had a few minutes to spare we grabbed coffee and split. After looking at the menu as well as seeing all the people that crowded the restaurant, it appeared to be a place worthy of enjoying an afternoon meal. If given the time, we'd stayed and tasted the local flavor. Now, onto the coffee. They have all the major flavors. We ordered two lattes, with extra shots. Both my wife's and my latte came out tasting very delicious, even with the extra shots (no bitterness). For two large lattes with extra shots we paid $15, comparable to Starbucks in price and taste. Additionally, from what I hear, they have coffee flights that are truly worth the money. Overall, not a bad little place. My last impression as we left was that this IS a great place for coffee/lunch. I would love to come back for more. Enjoy! Side notes: They have a single, unisex bathroom and just like the bathroom, the outdoor seating is present but very limited.

My waitress Shelby was Phenomenal and made the day before my birthday a memorable day I will never forget! I will be returning one day with my children so they can experience the warmth and friendly workers at Java Jack's Cafe, I want to say thank you Shelby for an amazing first time experience and the food is 10 out of 10 plus the drink I ordered is better then Starbucks if I do say so myself!

Coffee was fabulous and the food was good. Atmosphere was like eating in a small town along a river or lake. The staff were friendly and service was great.

Friendly staff and good food. I always come here when I'm staying in tappahannock. Tappahannock needs more good places like this.

Awesome service, great coffeees and the quiche was really good. It was a little pricey for the size tho. The atmosphere is great.

Shabby chic dècor with different vintage tablecloths at each table make this coffee house a cozy respite for breakfast, lunch, brunch or a quick java jolt! I loved every detailed room! Even the restrooms had a vintage vibe! The ambiance warms you right up along with your hot Cuppa joe! I ordered the London Fog tea, Earl Grey and steamed milk which was truly unique and yummy. I had the fluffy, thick pancakes, scrambled eggs, country ham and grits. It was a hearty meal! I wasn't crazy about the grits, but the rest of the food was good! My table mates got the sausage gravy and biscuits (which looked sloppy but was tasty!) and the breakfast burrito (which she said was done perfectly, not too much onion and plenty of filling!) Food is on point! As taken as I was with the atmosphere and food, the service was a little slow... our server seemed a bit distracted, has us move to another table, and was a tad flighty. Truth be told, we didn't mind the move because we got to sit out on the enclosed porch, which was my fav room! Tappahannock has a true treasure with Java Jacks!! If I lived here, this would be my hang!!

There is ample parking available, and despite being located right off the golf course, the restaurant is pretty easy to access. Walking in, you're able to seat yourself with a variety of options (low top, high top, and bar seating available). Our server was prompt and kind, the menu was quite expansive, and there were multiple options to please anyone in a large group. I ended up getting the corn beef hash platter, which came on a sizzling pan topped with a heaping portion of fried potatoes and corn beef and topped with eggs cooked to your preference. It also comes with a side of bread, I decided on a biscuit which was fantastic, buttery and fluffy. My breakfast partner ended up ordering off the lunch menu, getting a tuna sandwich, which also came with a heaping portion of tuna salad between two slices of buttered bread. They shared that it was a decent sandwich but not as good as other places. Overall, Prince Street Café is a great brunch/lunch spot, with the advent of spring this would be a lovely place to enjoy some sun and good eats!

It did not disappoint. Good atmosphere, sitting right off a golf course. There was plenty of parking as well. We were seated right away. The waitress was very efficient and knew the menu well, never getting our orders wrong. I decided on the baked French toast, topped with apples and a side of bacon and coffee. My daughter decided on the seafood omelet and cinnamon French toast. Everything was delicious. No complaints from me. They also have an all you can eat buffet if you like. It was a great ending to our reunion. I would recommend Prince Street Cafe at Hobbs Hole and would definitely go back!

The coffee here isn't just good -- it's correct. The grind, the heat, the cardamom -- everything is dialed in with the kind of care you only get from people carrying a tradition, not following a recipe. The basbusa is outstanding -- house-made, fresh, with that perfect syrup-to-semolina balance so many places get wrong. Best I've had in years. Can't wait to try their kunafa next. What really sets Fairuz apart is the atmosphere. This is a family-owned spot and you feel it the second you walk in. The hospitality is genuine -- that "sit down, you're home now" energy you can't manufacture. If you're Middle Eastern and homesick, come here. If you've never had real Turkish coffee, come here. The restaurant has a pretty low/relaxed vibe. So low/relaxed that I thought the two people at a dining table who let me know that the porch was open for service were customers. Oh! The paper place settings have little tidbits on Virginian trivia and history. For our dining enjoyment, we went with a couple of orders of burgers. I thought my burger was pretty tasty, especially with the restaurant's special BBQ sauce. Also, I thought the portion sizes were pretty generous for the price. The only very minor issue (as of March 2026) was that the restaurant did not have its liquor license, so we could not order a round of beers go accompany our burgers. Other than that small detail, we had no problem with the restaurant. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that service was pretty good, and the prices were pretty reasonable.
