While I'm sure the ice cream is delicious, I didn't have the stomach to stay and find out. While waiting in line I watched the man scooping the ice cream just putting his full head in the dipping cabinet with no hair net or anything on. He had a full head of hair, so I'm wondering just how many people found a surprise strand in their ice cream. The biggest complaint that I had was that the man running the cash register was handling cash AND making the waffle cones- with no gloves! Java Cow makes their own ice cream and it's delicious! I had a java chip milkshake and my friends had scoops of salted caramel and mocha almond fudge. It was a very nice afternoon so we sat outside. Cows should change for simply walking in the door. It smells so freaking good! I swear every breath is probably five calories! They have unique flavors and they make their own waffle cones to order. They also have lots of fun 'cow' apparel. There is always a long line out the door and into the street. That high of a demand for ice cream when it's snowing? It's just that good. read more

oh yum!!!!! i go to java cow at least twice a day. not only do they have great coffee and pastries, they also have great "groats" (oatmeal) served with dried cranberries and milk AND lox and bagels. they have a HUGE selection of teas....and when it's time for lunch they have great toasted sandwiches and unique soups and stews and chilies.....oh and there's an ice cream parlor attached!!!! hello!! the ice cream parlor even has some really good super low cal options....too good to pass up! all this and they serve up a healthy dose of sarcasm like the sign on the cash register...."lo siento, no hablo starbucks" the people that work there are great. i am so lucky to have my java cow so close to my office!!!! this is a place you must go if you ever visit PC read more

Before walking into Java Cow I was hopeful. I love ice cream and after reading some of the reviews I thought this could be it. However, I was disappointed. I have had better ice cream before. This may be the best in Park City but it wasn't the best in my book. What disappointed me even more is that I went in there at 8:30 on a Monday night in the off season and they were out of waffle cones and a bunch of ice flavors! The ice cream wasn't even that special, in the Chocolate Monster which I got it tasted as though it was only chocolate ice cream with a couple of chocolate chips in it. I was hoping for something a little more special. However, I will give them props for their ice cream selection, even though they were out of a bunch they did have a large selection to choose from and had them all easily displayed so that you could look at them while waiting for your turn. I would like to go back and try one of the crepes or a latte or something because I didn't try anything from the bakery side and am open to whatever they could create. read more

Visited here three times while in Park City. The ice cream is excellent! Fresh selections and tasty waffle cones. Their coffee was average. The espresso was a bit overcooked causing the flavor to not be as good as other shops in the area. If you want some good sweets, this is the place! read more

I have never been treated so bad in my life! I ordered a frozen coffee and after 20 minutes waiting, they were busy and I was trying to be polite, I asked about my coffee. They got mad at me! Told me I let some one take my drink. The owner, who is the rudest person I have ever met came out with an attitude I could not believe, threw her hands up in the air and yelled "just give her another one". Like it was my fault. Then made a snide comment about "I wish all these tourist would go home". This tourist has lived here for 32 years! Not to mention I am smart enough to know tourist in one way or another, sign all of our paychecks! She on the other hand is from New York and has not been her that long. And she forgot to leave her New York attitude behind! I has floored, I have never been treated so badly before. All because they would not let me have my $6 cup of coffee. It is over crowded with a bunch of over priced junk and no where to stand and wait(for 20 minutes) for your drink. Crazy, rude, horrible customer service. I will NEVER go there again! Starbucks is cheaper, faster, and a whole he'll of a lot friendlier. They don't even touch their espresso machine to make their "espresso" drinks. They pumped it out of a can? And after all of that they did not even make it right! Oh, and their outdoor seating they say they have is one small bench right outside the front door. We had to ask for a refund on our food because the person cooking was consistently touching his hair and picking his nose while making our food. The person cooking was wearing gloves, but used those gloves to scratch his head, get the hair away from his eyes and then continued to touch the crepes he was making. We quickly lost our appetite and asked for refund as we refused to eat the hairy food that waa presented. Absolutely disgusting, which is a bummer because the food sounds good and they have a decent menu. However, hire a cook with decent personal hygiene awareness and they'll be good. read more

I am not kidding when I say this cafe is themed on cows. The cafe and bakery side make delicious scones and their hot chocolate after snowboarding all day is awesome. Then on the other side of the place is an ice cream shop-go figure- and a cow retail store. they have some of the funniest cow themed items you have ever seen. read more

Me and a group of friends went to this place for TWO nights in a row trying to get crepes. The first night, they just told us the station was closed. The second night, they made up a bull crap lie saying that it was closed because it takes awhile to clean the station (which it doesn't). We showed up an hour and a half before closing time so there was so reason it was suppose to be closed. I ordered a cup of vanilla bean ice cream with Reese's pieces. The lady behind the counter gave me peanut butter cups and when I pointed out the mix up she rudely told me they didn't have Reese pieces. I took a look behind the counter and saw the Reese's pieces displayed with all of the other toppings. The service in general here was very rushed and the employees were not friendly. The ice cream itself was good, but not spectacular. Rude and incompetent service gets this places two stars. read more

This place rocks! The cow theme is apparent throughout the shop. The cafe is split into a java house for coffee on one side and a creamery for ice cream on the other. The line for their homemade ice cream seems to be very long, but goes by fairly quickly. Homemade ice cream and great flavor! I had the Wowie Cowie which had vanilla ice cream, dark chocolate chunks, and caramel- so delish. I also had the maple/walnut flavored ice cream- also delicious! On another visit I had the vanilla latte and that was perfect as well- not too sweet. We came here frequently when we walked down Main Street for either ice cream or great coffee. There is a little area in the front that sells "cow" souvenirs and a sitting area in the back with cow seats and cow tables- lol!
