As you guys who follow my reviews know we like to eat breakfast at local places than at the hotels. Now don't get me wrong breakfast buffets are awesome like we experienced at the Sheraton in Warsaw. But the whole vacation experience is to enjoy what the locals enjoy hence our visit to Jat Cafe. This is awesome little breakfast place decorated uniquely. Before sitting down you order at the counter and they give you a number and bring the food to your table. We ordered the sesame bagel with scrambled eggs along with the original ice coffee. The bagels in Europe seem just so much more fresher than stateside. The employees are great and they are always on the go as this place gets pretty busy with est in or take out. If in Brussels I would strongly recommend you enjoy an early breakfast here before heading out to explore the city.

I really liked this cafe. I stopped by around 10AM on a weekday and there was plenty of seating available. However, when I stopped by another day closer to the lunch hour, the place was really buzzing and I didn't even bother trying to find a seat. They have an assortment of fresh squeezed juices that were delightful, though I wish they were served colder (I felt this way about almost every cold drink I had in Belgium, so we'll chalk that up to cultural differences) and had more vegetables in their blends. I had a bagel sandwich which was tasty, but a little heavy on the cream cheese for my taste. I appreciated the side salad that came with it to help balance out the carb/dairy fest. You do have to pay an extra 3 Euro if you want to eat in rather than take it to go, but that is the case with most cafes in this neighborhood. There is also a to-go case with an assortment of sandwiches, yogurt, etc so this could be a great quick option if you are in a rush. I didn't get any coffee, but noticed that they serve their coffee with a macaroon on the side which I thought was a nice touch. I definitely recommend Jat Cafe and hope to get back there someday!

Very cozy location near the palace

I was in love with the music and their location! They are located in a central area. My friend ordered the Vanilla Oreo milkshake. She was not disappointed. I was tired and completely forgot they offered this delicious beverage so I ordered a hot chocolate with milk for 3 Euros, which I don't find expensive compared to the States. I got a great vibe from this place! I was in love with their playlist. I wish Miami had a cafe spot like this that wasn't Starbucks... Anyways, this is a great hotspot to drink your tea and order sandwiches while completing your work. Business people were also here for meetings. Their mission statement was posted outside their store, which was they loved making coffee. This is a very popular place and are catering to the correct audience. While it is always busy, there are plenty of seats. This a nice place to come with friends and catch up and meet local artists, etc.

This place was so great we came back again!

While we were in town we went there twice! We loved it! Cute cafe with great food and delicious coffee. Friendly service too. Highly recommend!

Free little pastries (3) but I ate the others

Very nice place to get some breakfast or lunch. Even to sit with a coffee is great. Note that brunch is only on the weekends. We had a nice salmon and cream cheese beagle. Juices are really a must. I had a freshly squeezed Carrot, Apple, Ginger and a lemon juice. Delicious!

And I love that you do!

Being on a mission to find all the good coffee shops in Brussels where you can work, with free wifi and good coffee, the Jat' was definitely on my list. Conveniently located between the central station and close to Porte de Namur, it is super easy to reach and really provides a good experience for the coffee shop worker that I am. Coffee is delicious (I usually go for an Americano, but I hear the cappuccino is also amazing: next on my list) and they also have loads of other drinks and good, healthy food and smoothies. Today is expat day it seems, and the place is buzzing with English-speaking people, just what I like! On the down-side, it's a bit dear, so I'm not going to have my usual 3 tons of coffee, but since it's really good, I can live with it! The atmosphere is also really relaxed, bright and the place is loaded with super-comfy little armchairs...which I tend to avoid to remain in work mode. The bike hanging on the wall also reminds me of my favourite coffee shop in Glasgow, which just makes everything perfect!

Nice location in the center of the city. The waiters are adorable and kind. The decoration is so charming. I love to sit in a comfortable coach with friends to drink a coffee. Don't come here if you want a calm atmosphere tho but I don't mind the music is not bad at all. Juices, coffees, salads, bagels, cupcakes and cakes. Nice place to eat a brunch. PS : you have to order at the counter. Truly recommend this place. Will sure come back.

Perfect to hang out with friends or alone. Excellent beverages and their pastries/bagels are to die for (a tad pricey but so worth it). Great ambiance and music. Staff is polite, smiley and willing to help you have a nice time! A must, in Brussels!

The best thing about this place is the atmosphere, the floor to ceiling windows provide natural light and a nice view. The music is just right and the seating is very comfortable but can be a little tight to move around the tables. You can see many people working on their laptops or reading a book, so it's that kind of place. The bagels are light and fresh (I wouldn't say amazing) and the coffee is great. The service however isn't so great, the person taking my order gives the impression as if he's doing me a favor by taking my order and when I asked for a recommendation during my first visit the reaction was standoffish and unwelcoming. Not the worst but at the same time I won't be a regular for sure.

What a great discovery! I seem to be in Brussels more and more for work and always have trouble finding a place to eat quickly or to go. I am so happy I found Jat' Café! The café is conveniently located between the big square with all of the museums and the luxury shopping streets (Waterloo and Louise). You can opt to dine in or take your food to go. There is quite a large menu of healthy meals and indulgent sweets, plus a long list of coffee drinks and fresh juices. The staff are super friendly and greeted me right away. I ordered a bacon and egg bagel to go with an iced coffee. Mmmm!!! I need to go back to try more of their bagels and coffee! The baked goods and milkshakes also looked great!

Nice coffeeshop I stayed with my gf during a rainshower. Good cappuccino, good chai latte. Good pastry, good muffin. Also the sandwiches looked good. So... good! (What do you expect. It is this type of hipsterish coffeeshop thing which you can find in every city. It is good. Nothing unique. But perfectly fine if you are looking for something like that.)

    - Price/Quality: It's a bit like Exki but it's cheaper and you'll get bigger portions. But don't get too excited, it's still priced. 6 euros and a bit for a good portion of tunafish salad (salad, tomatoes, peppers and olives) with free bread and dressing (olive oil, balsamico, etc.). 4 euros for 'taboulé à la menthe' with cherry tomatoes, grilled salmon and some dill tops on top. Between 2 and 3 euros for teas and coffees. - Health: It's Exki style so not as healthy as their image assumes but pretty conscious, desserts excluded off course. - Pleasure: I liked it, my stomach liked it. But if you prefer fresh stuff instead of taking a plastic pot from the counter, better go to Peck 47. - Quantity: More than Exki or Foodmaker's sometimes ridiculously small portions. - Variety: A decent range of pastas, salads, bagels (all with creamcheese), coffees, juices, etc. to choose from.

I entered today for the first time to this coffee place. There a lot of reviews of this place so I decided to give try and review it. When you enter you can see the modern retro decoration and they tune some soul groovy music on the background. On the left you've a open refrigerator filled with food that you can take out on the go, such as salad, cakes a.m. On the right you've the huge counter and the menu on the wall with their variation of coffee/tea/juice options and fancy bagels (8,90 and 5,90 takeout). It took me a while because there's so many choices but I ended up with one vanilla flavoured soy latte (due lactose intolerance) and one chicken truffle bagel. There are 3 option for the bagel buns: regular, paprika and sesame. The staff is really understand and is willing to give some advice. People who are working there are students (I assume). They made me instantly my drink and I went to take a seat, they brought me bagel a few minutes later. Chicken truffle bagel is served with salad (tomato, cucumber and mix salad. Balsamico dressing & truffle oil) on the side. Selfie time The bagel is crunchy and toasted. You can smell the delicious truffle essence. The chicken is shiny and calling me right now! Having a bite of it. Crunchy and has this delicious umami flavour, thanks to the truffle oil! The chicken is very smooth, not dry at all. I was just a bit surprised that they've put cream cheese. It was definitely on point with all the things with it. It was definitely worth the try and to risk my life ;) This is the best bagel I had whole my life! Bagel are a bit pricey but they've put so good quality on making it so I didn't mind. This place is really nice if you wanna chill, have some quality time with your friends, read your book, work on your laptop or even take out some bagel and coffee on the go :)

Salmon Bagel with cream cheese and side salad. Delicious!

Elvis, the man, the myth, the legend, the king of rock-n-roll, IS ALIVE…read more.. My new favorite coffee shop in this part of Brussels. I love how they decorated the space here, clean, pure with a little hipster-touch. A little jewel in an otherwise boring neighbourhood. The Barista's really know what they do, and served me a very good Ice-Latte with a friendly smile. They have excellent espresso-based drinks, drip coffee, fresh orange juice and a selection of (healthy) snacks for breakfast and lunch. It can get busy at morning rush hour, but service is fast. It can be your new favourite place to get a fresh cup of joe in the morning or to get your lunchtime eating regime on the right track... this is definitely my new coffee shop to add a kick to my morning commute. Don't miss the orange infused Detox water next to the counter.

They have never heard about the concept "CLIENT"…read more I've been there many many times because it's very close to my job and it's always the same. Good products (a bit overpriced) and TERRIBLE SERVICE. Not only they are not nice, nor efficient. Imagine: a queue of several people waiting for ordering and paying, four waiters and just one of them serving the clients (preparing coffes, paying...everything!!!!). The rest, doing some stuff, talking among them, but NEVER caring about the queu or the needs of the clients. Always like that!!! In the café in Green in face of them they are super nice and efficient!!! Cross the street!!
