We love this pizza place! They always deliver quickly and the pizza is perfect! Just the right amount of sauce and cheese.

It was unclear what they meant but she seemed unwilling to put us on the list when we called at about 5:00. So, we decided to take our chances and stopped by about 6:15 and immediately got seated.....probably helped it was just the 2 of us as they were very busy. Our server, Zoe was very good, well versed on the menu and was attentive but not overly so....excellent at her job. The highlight however (for me) was watching the entire hard working staff work together. It was like a finely orchestrated ballet. Mostly young people who worked extremely hard and never seemed to miss a beat! The owner or manager stopped by to check on us (seems rare these days) and was very friendly. The food was good, not out of this world good but very satisfying and we were happy.

While visiting the Stevensville area, Tosi's was a place that came up often, so we decided to check…read moreit out. They don't do advance reservations and also aren't open midweek, so navigating the visit took some planning. They do allow you to call ahead (once open) and put your name on the list though. The restaurant itself is a bit sprawling, and appears to have a few identities. We had wanted to eat outside, but the weather unfortunately ruined that plan. (The outdoor area was certainly gorgeous though.) A couple areas inside had a more airy Tuscan like feel, but we ended up in the bar area, which definitely reads more midwest supper club in terms of vibes. I'm sure those who are in the know, probably state their preferences up front. We got a salad on special with peaches and burrata (half a piece apparently) to start, cups of (the non-traditional) minestrone soup, and pasta dishes. My mom reportedly enjoyed the Tuscan Penne, and I ordered the Gnocchi. Unfortunately, my first go at the gnocchi arrived cold. (I see this has been an issue for other patrons, and I imagine it's because they rely upon the wood fire toasting to reheat an otherwise cold/parcooked dish.) When I asked for it to be warmed up, the second version arrived with the spinach on top burned instead. The flavor of the sauce was otherwise good, but the issues with execution interrupted our meal, and ultimately there wasn't much more to the dish once the burned components were removed. They serve bread and I believe many of the desserts, from Bit of Swiss bakery. We enjoyed a basket of foccacia and rye to start, and ordered tiramisu for dessert. The tiramisu is not really tiramisu, so much as it is a layered cake with a number of the usual flavors/components. It's a bit lighter and less rich than the typical dish. The hostess was friendly when we checked in and our server was nice, though it was his first evening serving and he had to go back a few times to get answers to our questions. I definitely see the appeal of Tosi's and imagine with a few different choices the night would've proved a little more special. That said, given the price for the experience, it didn't quite hit the mark for me.

Let me tell you a tale about my pizza-loving husband. This man lives for pizza--the good, the bad,…read morethe ugly. Now, I'll partake in the former any day of the week with him, but it's the latter that had me rolling my eyes *hard* one late afternoon on our drive from Chicago to our home in Michigan when he wanted to make a {45 minute} "detour" on this place he found for pizza. I was just ready to start our weekend and tired from the week. But boy oh boy am I glad I went limp & relented because I ate my words, in the form of some of the best pizza I've ever had. In fact, it quickly became a part of our regular routine and I haven't looked back. For context, I was raised in New York and have lived in Chicago over 10 years, also I'm thick as hell, so when I tell you I know pizza, you'll have to trust me and try for yourself. Patellie's has a fantastic crust, chewy, crispy, flavorful. They use the perfect amount and kind of sauce & cheese, and they locally source their veggies & meats. In fact, I usually always opt for whatever veggie pie they have that day (their chef is a mad genius), and it never disappoints. We don't make it up to Michigan as much anymore since selling our home, but I think about the pizza...and the other love of my life (their burrata) often & feel wistful. Check it out!

It came with a side salad that was pretty fresh too. Our waitress was kind and checked on us a couple of times without being pushy. The restaurant was clean and had a nice chill atmosphere. Solid meal overall.
