No pickles Ok on the receipt it says Pickle and chips..it was their Hallmark for all the years . Now gone in the downtown one. But still on the receipt. Now that is not right and I am sure a class action lawsuits by the. Multitude of Lawyers in downtown is not called for .Where is the pickle ? read more

This location sucks. The tables are filthy. The staff are lazy. The food is as expected though.

Very happy with the sandwich Service was quick Enjoyed the meal Will return Nice pics on walls And don't forget the free ice cream cone read more

Thumbs Up: The sandwiches are good. Neutral: However, they should really warn customers that if you're eating "for here," the chips will be poured out onto the plate. It looks nice, but many people might be surprised not to receive a bag of chips to enjoy later. I was actually counting on getting a bag because I'm on medication that makes it difficult to eat a sandwich and chips together. (I probably should have gone to Subway for that reason.) Neutral: What's the deal with the salad bar? Thumbs Up: On a positive note, the paper napkins are of higher quality than what you find at most other eateries. Thumbs Down: However, the restaurant is quite stingy with them. One of my lunch orders came with just one napkin that needed to be split between two people, and we didn't see any napkin dispensers available. Thumbs Down: The breakfast offerings are limited, and the quality doesn't match the price. Thumbs Down: When I came in for breakfast, it took an unreasonable amount of time to receive my order, even though I was the only person in the restaurant. I noticed the staff was busy with several catering orders, but they should prioritize the customer who is physically present. If they can't serve walk-in customers promptly, they might want to consider closing the store to foot traffic during breakfast hours. read more

I ordered Avocado toast on Uber. It has an option for opting out of Guacamole (which is avocado with added veggies) I didn't want guacamole. I wanted avocado toast. So I opted out of the guacamole. Well I got dry ass bread and fruit. I am Mexican and avocado means just that. Guacamole is avocado + added veggies. I paid $20 for a slice of bread cut in half. This is total bs! Oh and not to mention they don't even serve real bacon. They serve that microwave garbage. I'm done with this place! read more

I don't often come here but when I'm kn the mood for a salad or half sandwich and soup combo, this hits the spot. Food was good, service was great and staff were busting to keep the place tidy and clean. One comment, the stable feel sticky at times but that comes from using the wrong product but I will say, the ladies kept it clean. I love their sweet and hibiscus tea. The complimentary icecream is always a treat. If you have young kids and need a moment to breath and eat, they have options for the little ones and for mom/dad, plus the icecream will seal the deal. read more

Jason's Deli - Lunch...salad bar and cup of soup (chicken pot pie) - Delis Near Me - Houston, Texas

I am sure the wraps and deli sandwiches are freshly made. At work, we had an early morning meeting and we got breakfast sausage burritos from Jason's Deli. The sausage was spicy. I actually bit on a peppercorn. Over all it was good. Had their coffee as well and it was ok. The fruits were horrible. It wasn't fresh fresh, especially the grapes. I say go for their sandwich and burritos etc. skip the coffee and fruits. read more

This JD does a great job with fast service and good food at a great location. It's always busy, but I never have a problem finding a table. Expect the full salad bar you see at any JD. Tasty soups. Good prices. Try the muffaletta. read more

Omg this place is like Panera without the fancy bread on display. Food is excellent and there is a whole gluten free menu including gluten free bread so you can have sandwiches! Big salad bar and free soft serve ice cream after your meal! Really happy we stopped here and will definitely eat here again! read more

Jason's Deli, you've surprised me. Here I thought you were a slightly upgraded Subway, and you have decent pasta options, a fairly extensive salad bar, several daily soup options, including a decent spicy seafood gumbo, and best of all, free soft serve cones for dessert! This Jason's Deli was pretty crowded, with both inside and outside tables occupied, but the table turnover was pretty fast, thanks to its efficient staff. Jason's Deli over Subway, any day. read more

This seems to be the magical unicorn "halfway point" for you and anyone else you know downtown that you want to meet for lunch. No matter where I am and no matter who I am eating with, we always end up here because it is halfway. Jason's is a pretty solid chain. I have been going to their various franchises for many years. You know what to expect - nothing will be bad, nothing will be mind-blowing. You will leave content, full, and not broke - so that is pretty much all you can ask from a chain like this. It would be awesome if they took the spirit of "spring cleaning" a bit more seriously though. If that was too subtle, it can be pretty crumb-ridden and dirty at times. Do not take a persnickety person here. read more

Although I've had positive experiences and good food in the past, today I ordered a "steak" Poboy. The bread veggies and cheese were spot on. The meat however could not be disguised as or called steak anywhere on the planet earth. I don't know how you can make that dry, but someone made a concerted effort. Definitely more like a beef jerky Poboy. The gumbo also left very much to be desired as the shrimp were essentially mush. I guess that's what I get for ordering this type of food from a deli. When you want Cajun food get it from a Cajun restaurant. This is not the place! read more

One of the few restaurants that is still open downtown. Social distancing is not a problem. Food is the same as it was pre-COVID.

Unfortunately with downtown locations of popular chains the quality can drastically diminish. This place is no different. Go to a Jason's in the suburbs and it's a 5* experience. Took upwards of a half hour to get any update on my meal which I was told to wait and they'd bring it to me. Note this was during lunch time. I eventually just walked out as I have a limited break for lunch. Not an experience I'll take a chance on again. read more

I've never had a good experience at Jason's. The sandwiches I get are always really bland and dry. But it seems like no one else has this issue. The salad bar is nice. I remember how back in the day it used to be included in the meal. I'm pretty sure it's not anymore, but I still steal some fruit and bran muffins from time to time. Honestly, when I think of Jason's, I think of dim interiors and grimy booths. I've just never gotten used to it. read more

This is a great downtown lunch option. The Jason's chain serves consistently good food. This location has their game down pat. The line moves swiftly and orders come out correctly. They have set up self serve kiosks for people to get soup and salad. Punch in your order, get your drink, collect you plate/bowl and get your stuff. How easy is that? The line gets long during lunch hour, so get here early or late if you hate queueing up. read more

Jason's Deli is a good "go to" downtown lunch spot. Though the downside is that the lunches get so busy you MAY end up waiting in line for up to 20+minutes if you come too late. For an hour lunch that is pretty significant. My key to quickness is that I order online and just pick it up when I get there. Drawback? It's a brown bag...but I am there more for networking and hanging out with my friends and fraternity brothers while there. The free frozen yogurt is a plus! My picks are usually the Sergent Pepper (sliced roast beef w/ red and green bell peppers, onions with melted provolone on a french baguette roll) or the Half Muffaletta. Better work downtown and be able to walk there though! Parking is a hassle though if you circle around for a little bit you can usually find street parking. read more

Come on! Who doesn't like Jason's Deli? This one is located conveniently downtown easily within walking distance from most of the big businesses downtown. J's Deli is my favorite place to eat hands down. It is so simple yet so good. I always get something called the traditional, which is a make your own sandwich. I have been to J's all over the place and have never had a bad experience or been disappointed. They also have one of the freshest salad bars I have even seen. Did I mention the free ice cream? Another plus! read more

This review is only for their salad bar. Although I intend to, I have never tried any of their sandwiches. For around $9 you can get unlimited salad bar and a drink. They have a large and selection of fresh vegetables. I think it's a bit pricey for just a salad, therefore I only gave them 3 stars. DON'T FORGET YOUR FREE ICE CREAM. IT'S NOT BLUE BELL, BUT IT'S FREE :) read more

I LOVE JASON'S!!! Word to the wise - if you are ordering to go, phone in your order. The To-Go line can get really long at lunch time. If you are eating in, head over a little early or wait until about 12:30 to let the line die down. The service is quick, so even if you are caught in the rush, the wait won't be too terribly long. This is also a great place for a group lunch (delivery or dine-in). The menu ranges from sandwiches to soups, salads to baked potatoes, with options for any lifestyle or diet. read more

I don't enjoy deli meat and food so much, but this is an excellent spot for lunch in downtown. Consistently provides good customer service and good lunch. I've always had good customer service - the people who take the orders at the pick-up and catering line (includes managers) and the people who serve you as you walk down the line are always friendly and helpful. For a deli, it's not bad. The soups are good, albeit on the salty side, but better than other options in downtown. There's a big list of different types of sandwiches to choose from and they have no problem changing out the bread or adding condiments. It definitely gets crowded during the lunch hour even for pick-up but you can save time by placing your order online. read more

I went back after several years and it was disgusting. I ordered a panini and a salad, my sister went to the restroom so I got the salad for her I got just lettuce because I didn't know what she wanted it. So went I went back to get the rest of the vegetables I couldn't do it because you can only get salad one time. By the way, the employees were eating food from the salad bar with their hands so unhealthy. read more

Can't really mess up a breakfast sandwich. Egg,cheese, meat on croissant and fountain drink came to just under 8 bucks. Seating is nice and plenty of it, both booths and tables w/ chairs. Staff was extremely friendly. It just took a while to make my sandwich, almost 10 minutes! Enjoy. read more

Every year I organize a month-long program and order breakfast and lunch everyday. I used Jason's several times during this program and they did an awesome job, even with my last minute orders or changes. The food was as great as the service. Thank you so much for your help. I'll never understand why all the meat on their sandwiches are balled up in the middle of the bread.

Ordered a pretty big delivery order from my office, took them about 45 minutes to deliver and they forgot the dressing for our salads. Took them another full hour to bring the dressings. Will not be eating here again read more

Even during this pandemic, I still love coming here for my lunch. Great food but even better service. Happy to see they are allowing dining in again, but of course social distance applies. Clean and well maintained restaurant, great prices. what else can you ask for. read more

I visit this location often because it is close to work and sometimes we also have catered lunches from here. The food is consistent and there is a wide range of options. Even with a steady lunch crowd, I have never had an incorrect order. The staff is usually fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. Seating can get crowded at times but there is a second side that most people are unaware of. The salad bar is cleaned frequently and fully stocked. I have never had a bad meal from the sandwiches or pasta choices. Free ice cream is always a plus and I make sure to have a cone before heading out. I withhold one star because I think the establishment could focus on holding back some salt/sodium in the dishes though they do a wonderful job of promoting anti-biotic free meats. read more

Soup , Sandwich , Fruit , Chips, pickle , crackers ! That's my lunch ! Love Ya guys @ Jason's Deli !

The sandwiches are good but the service is absolutely horrible. I bought the sandwich there this morning at 9am. I ordered my food with the old Spanish lady who wears the glasses. She is so mean not even said "thank you". I ordered whole wheat bread with egg, mayo and chipotle sauce but I got croissant instead. When I went back there to change my order, I wasn't welcome back. By the way I didn't get the chipotle sauce. :(( read more

I am taking time to give a low review because of the poor attitude exhibited by the staff everytime I call. I always greet them and ask how they are doing, and have tried to establish a positive relationship because of all the orders I do with them for our many meetings. However, I have not succeeded in establishing a working relationship with their staff, especially the "catering" staff-member named Marina. My company has given Jason's Deli in the Downtown tunnel, TONS of business in the last 6 months. With that being said, I don't understand why, when I call to order food for one of our many meetings, that it is not important enough business to take my order? Ours are not huge or difficult orders. Earlier this week, a staff-member started to take my order, and then asked if she could call me back because "they were busy." I had to call them back to order, when I didn't hear from them. I called this morning to ask for a copy of my order for tomorrow to confirm it, and was asked by Marina again if she could call me back because she was "busy." I believe that was at least the 3rd time this has happened to me in the last few months, and I make it a point to not call during busy meal times. She had promised to send my confirmation for tomorrow earlier this morning. When I called back an hour and a half later to ask for it again, she claimed to have emailed a copy of my order. I was fed up with her "I don't care" attitude and firmly told her I was looking at my Inbox and had checked the Junk box, and that if she had sent it, I would be looking at it. I asked her to send it asap. No response so far. I will be ordering online going forward. I shouldn't have to deal with bad attitudes every time I call to order! It shouldn't be like pulling teeth to get an order taken for a regular customer! Marina is also impatient and interrupts too much. read more

I'm not sure what changed here but the service and food has improved significantly! The cashiers always have a cheerful attitude. This has happened on more than one occasion. I frequent the to go counter. Food has been very good. I like the chicken salad and sandwiches. Fruit is always yummy too. Keep up the good work! I'll be back read more

Usually I get great food. Service is sometimes very friendly, sometimes rushed and uncaring, depending on who's at the take out counter. The one time I was really angry with this place was a couple years ago. The boss ordered lunch for everyone -sweet, right? Got about halfway through my sandwich, took another bite and bit into a toothpick. No, the toothpick was not poking from the top or bottom -it was in the sandwich. Not like right smack in the middle, but it was in the sandwich near the edge, concealed by cheese and toppings. I don't remember if I complained about it, but I didn't visit that location for about a year after the fact. I know accidents happen, but I can't recall another time at any restaurant where I almost ate a toothpick. I have finally started coming back. I guess I've forgiven them, haha. I do the build your own half sandwich; it's a perfect portion and cheaper than just about everything else they offer. EDIT 4/07/2011: After today's performance I've downgraded from 3 stars to 2 and I highly doubt I'll visit this location again. I'm not wasting anymore money on restaurants that can't get a simple order right. read more

Had another AWESOME experience at Jason's Deli. With the fresh food, helpful staff, and attentive managers this place is the best downtown. Christina, manager, not only came by and asked how my meal was she took the time to ask how my day was going. Then after talking with her a while and telling her the menu items I liked she recommended a couple of things for me to try next time. Such a great manager I can see why this place does so well. Thank you Christina and Jason's Deli for another great lunch!!! read more

Friggin love going here for lunch... it's the closest thing I've found to an authentic NY DELI outside of the NE U.S.!
