On our driveway before our elopement at the DTSA Courthouse
    Mary P.

Wow! We can't stop looking at our wedding photos! I was first introduced to Jason's photography a few years ago. As soon as I saw his work, I told my now-husband that if we were to ever get married, I would want no one else but Jason to shoot our wedding. We got engaged last year and were not sure about what kind of wedding we wanted. Long story short, we finally decided (almost on a whim) to elope at the Old Orange County Courthouse in downtown Santa Ana. We felt really good about our decision and kept it secret from our family and friends but we both knew we wanted to make sure that we had photographs to capture the memories from our special day. My husband called Jason, and with very little notice, we managed to make our schedules work. He agreed not only to shoot our elopement but also to be our sole witness. Jason is a total gentleman and made us feel comfortable and completely at ease. He's punctual, polite and extremely professional. Even though our ceremony was free of all the frills of a traditional wedding, his photographs transformed an ordinary Tuesday at a somewhat drab courthouse into something really special and magical for us. He documented our special day with such a unique and creative perspective and I feel like he really captured the essence of who we are as a couple. If you're looking for a more traditional take on wedding photography, look elsewhere. Jason is a natural and always stays to true his passion for his art form. PS - The guy can pin a boutonniere like a BOSS! I had some trouble with my husband's and Jason did it in like 2.2 seconds. I only pretended to do so on camera for the picture's sake. True story. Lol.

Engagement Shoot at Santa Monica Pier

Jason is amazing! I found out about Jason from my then girlfriend, now wife. =) She met Jason during a previous shoot and raved about his portfolio and artistic shots. When I contacted Jason he was very quick and responsive. It was fairly easy to get a consultation and he cleared up any unanswered questions I had. We booked Jason for both our engagement shoot and wedding. Engagement Shoot: We decided to go to santa monica pier and lacma. Jason was great! He suggested a good time to take pictures with great lighting. He coached my wife and I on how to get very natural looking shoots. Jason got many shots of us at the pier, the beach, and at the museum. After, the long day of shooting Jason was able to get us some great pictures very quickly. We absolutely loved them and we were excited to see him capture our big day together. Wedding Day: Jason came with multiple photographers. We had one photographer taking pictures of the groom and he was taking pictures of the bride. He was literally everywhere taking shots. During our cocktail hour my wife and I decided to do some more personal pictures around the city. Again, Jason helped us get comfortable and coached us on how to take natural looking photos. Jason work is amazing! I am so grateful that we were able to book him for both our engagement shoot and wedding. I would highly recommend him if you want great photographer.

Jason was Highly recommend through a family member. Upon meeting with Jason, my wife and I got a good first impression vibe about him. Judging by his work seen online and his samples provided we were highly impressed. Coming from someone with professional photo editing experience my eye caught his work. Jason has his unique perspective & point of view when taking photos. Jason takes great pride in his work and is what he truly loves to do. Photography is what he loves and mastered it and now has found fans who are inspired by his work and willing to pay him for it. This is the best kind of photographer. You truly get what you pay for, photos are for life and special moments only happen once in a lifetime. I highly recommend Jason, photos looked above and beyond what i had expected.

When we decided to finally get serious about planning our wedding, one of the most daunting tasks was finding the right photographer for us. I really didn't know where to start and started looking through wedding wire to just see what kind of style/photographer we wanted, but after browsing at Jason's photos and blogs, I know it was he was the person I wanted to take pictures of my wedding. The pictures we saw were so natural and personally and truly capture the emotion, fun, and love we wanted to capture during our wedding. It wasn't stiff like most of the other style we saw. So we contacted Jason and from there on, it was one of the best decision we made. He was not only professional and fun to work with, he was so helpful in so many other aspects of our wedding, especially for clueless wedding planners like us - he helped us from choosing a DJ, advising us on our schedule and timeline, setting up the most awesome photo booth (the X booth), and even how to cut our cake on our wedding day! He and his assistant were just a joy to work with and almost felt like they were part of our wedding family rather than our vendors. We just received our wedding pictures and I cannot be happier. I cannot thank him enough for going above and beyond what his job was supposed to be. He even extended his committed time since our reception ran a bit later than we thought - he wanted to make sure he captured everything. Finding Jason and his team was really one of the best things we did for our wedding. Thank you, Jason - for capturing so perfectly what the day meant to us!!!

Truth be told....I write this with a bit of a tear in my eye....not to get too melodramatic over a…read moreyelp review....but pictures...when done perfect and if your in a particular sentimental mood....can have that effect. Some backstory...Imagix/Michelle has done our yearly photos for our son from ages 1 to now 5. (See my past reviews). From somehow capturing a perfect moment from our perpetually moving blur of a son (ages 1-3) to patiently instructing four 70/80 year olds on how to hold their aforementioned 4 year old Tasmanian Devil grandson last year, Michelle is a magician/artist...I always leave the photoshoot stressed from the chaos Hurricane Daniel (our son) leaves in his wake....But every year we come back to look at the proofs and are amazed at Michelle ability to capture "lighting in a bottle" . This year was no different. Fortunately we survived the terrible 2's (...3's....4's....) and thanks to time, maturity, and the opposite of gentle parenting, our little Daniel, though far from perfect, is manageable. But we didn't want to make it too easy for Michelle, so we threw in another variable. After a recent canine cancer scare, and recently learning from Google that all dogs, however loyal and cute, unfortunately have an inescapable life, span, I somehow convinced my beautiful but camera shy wife that this is the year we do a family photo with our dog. Some more backstory, if you read this far, our Yorkie, Libby, loves us but HATES the rest of the world. She spent the entire hour photoshoot in perpetual scowl and Volume 11 non stop bark. One week later as she always does, lighting in a bottle perfection. I looked at the proofs with amazement. Our son, we expected....she's done it every year, but how she made a loud perpetual yapping bark into a impossibly cute smile is above my skill set. But I think her greatest feat is how she lessened the "he must be rich" looks gap between my wife and I. My wife is easy, even me with my amateur Android skills, it's hard for her to take a bad picture. Michelle mastery came with how she elevated me to "he must be funny" looks gap level. So why the tear? We loved one of the pics so much we purchased a large framed canvas print to hang on our living room wall. My 85 year old happened to be in town for his grandsons 5th bday so I asked him for an helping hand hanging the picture. I figured he has these family portrait hanging at my childhood home. My brother and I with our full head of hair and my mom shoulder pads captured the 90's to a tee...but what I always remember is the "proud" look my dad had on his face. A look of accomplishment shouting "look at me world and all that I love and created". Watching my aging dad struggle, listing to my aging dog bark in a locked room to protect my dad's ankles, I was suddenly reminded that time, as much as you want to hit pause, always moves forward. It's a good idea to stop and smell the roses, or in this case, look at the snapshot/memories/moments and take it all in. After my dad handed me the leveler and I put away the hammer, and I looked up....and yeah....I had that "Dad" look

We met at our engagement shoot where he made us feel completely comfortable (we can be quite awkward!). The engagement photos came out beautiful and people loved our save-the-date photos! The wedding day was super hectic but Kevin was super PRO with handling the chaos. Dan was also great as our second photographer -he is always smiley! They were calm, reassuring, and knew exactly what they were doing. The photos are absolutely stunning, beautiful, light and airy. The lighting, composition, and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations. Looking through our gallery felt like reliving the entire day all over again, from the big moments to the small candid ones we didn't even realize were happening. We cannot recommend them enough!
