We ordered the Calgary beef, lemon chicken, and spicy shrimp. The shrimp dish came as fish instead, but it was also delicious. I found the lemon chicken a bit dry with the breading this time around but it was still tasty. As always, we had much left over to eat for breakfast and lunch the next day :) Love this spot and will continue to support it, especially during these times.

It took about a year; but I stumbled across this nice little place on the Hamilton mountain. Their prices for the amount of food you get caught my eye. I figured; what do we have to lose? Ordered the dinner for 4B; brought it home nervous thinking my husband was going to go off on another Kanye rant. To make a long story short - it was a hit! Everyone loved it! Called over the phone and ordered she didn't know it was me and asked if i knew where they were located which was nice. So My order was General tao chicken ( we usually get chilli chicken but don't like it dry, prefer the sauced up spicy, so this is the equivalent at some places), chicken balls, chicken fried rice, and chicken wings. The total was about 40$, which is fair and the portions were alot less to what I was used to. The general tao chicken was not even a little bit spicy, even though she said it was so that was disappointing. On top of that the breaded part of the chicken was extremely soggy and the plate was full of soggy over cooked veggies underneath. the chicken wings were fried and greasy tasted great and well seasoned. Just not like what I'd usually get from a Chinese take out place as it just looked different the way it was breaded and fried. The rice was in a really small container w under cooked pieced of chicken that was very slimy and white and the rice was very bland. I had to overkill w soy sauce and bit of red sauce. Lastly the chicken balls of course 80% balls 20% chicken but tasted fine, just nothing special. I mean it was cheap and last minute but i definitely feel like i would not have ordered here if i had known cheap or not. They have alot to improve on or mayb they are better at making other items listed in reviews from others. Not sure how they have 5 stars. but hey to each their own right!

When I got home my food was still hot which I loved. OMG the fried rice was soooo delicious. I didn't need to add anything to it and the ribs were soooo delicious tender and good. I didn't stay obviously, but inside was very spacious and can accommodate a fairly large group. This is now my new favourite Chinese food spot. It's always a good sign when you can find Cantonese-speaking customers in the restaurant - and we did. The restaurant appeared clean, although was dated. There were basic dim sum choices on the menu, but quite a number of items were crossed out and marked as not available. We tried the Shanghai Style Fried Noodle, Preserved Egg and Pork Congee, Steamed Sui Mai Dumpling, and Steamed Chive Shrimp Dumpling. We ordered the Pan Fried Dumpling with Minced Pork - it never arrived. Just as well because we had enough for two people and were already full. Of all, the congee was the most flavourful. The other items were standard. The noodles didn't have as much flavour and 'wok hei' as we would have liked, but still ok. I did ask if they made the dim sum in house, and the server (owner?) answered, "yes" but I do have to wonder. I would give it another try for dinner entrees.
