One of my favorite helmets is a house brand dual sport that I picked up on sale for $59. They also stock name brands and high end gear (Arai, Shoei). If they don't have what you want in stock they can order it, as they are also a national mail order company, and it usually only takes a couple of days to get your order in. And if you're a Revzilla fan, and aren't we all, know that Cycle Gear and Revzilla are owned by the same company, so you'll see the same equipment and generally the same pricing at both. I went into the Bellingham Cycle Gear to pick up heated gear for the cold weather riding. The staff guy was prompt, courteous, helpful, and well informed. No upsell, no messing about.

I have used this shop three times on my old girlfriend's 1991 Yamaha Radian. I first found them…read moreafter Daytona said they prefer NOT to work on older bikes, not even their own (what the hell??). The Radian was rough starting and idling badly and had not been winterized properly (she was really slack at maintenance before I took over). They cleaned , rejetted and adjusted the carbs and it ran like a dream afterwards. We also had chain and sprockets replaced there and she said it rode so smoothly it felt like a new bike. And lastly for her birthday I sprung for some new tires and while the wheels were off the re-did the fork seals. All the work has been top notch and fairly priced and they really seem great with older bikes. We also had difficult schedules to get in there and they were totally accommodating. We dropped the bike off after we were both off after work at midnight and put the key through their mail slot. When the work was done we paid by credit card over the phone, they put the key under the seat and we picked it up after hours with her spare key. They were also cool with installing the tires even though we had bought them on sale from Fortnine.ca. I will be going back to them with my 2015 Yamaha FJ-09 for tires shortly and likely new chain and sprockets too. I only wish they were a little off the beaten path, as I will have a bit of a transit trek after I drop off my bike, but if you have someone to give you a ride home and back that's a non-issue.

It's wonderful to be on a first-name basis with their parts, service, and sales guys. They really treat their customers like friends... Also important, as a woman new to the sport of dirt biking, I can tell horror stories about getting ripped off by mechanics, etc. So glad I found these guys, they'd never treat their female clients like I've been treated elsewhere. Absolutely abysmal service…read more I bought my first bike from International and the sales person was genuinely helpful and no pressure. However, thats where the good review ends. Once the purchase was made, they dropped off the face of the earth. I had questions about bringing my bike in for service and finance and EVERY single email and phone call I ever made was not returned. A few months after that, I started receiving texts asking if i was still looking for a new bike and when I explained via text that i already had bought one, and my messages werent being returned, whoever on the opposite side tried to call me once, and then stopped responding to the text conversation. When I was finally able to bring it in for service - I had to ride to their old Grandview Hwy location to book an appointment - while the bike was in for service, they had to move the bike to their Langley location because of some safety issue with the building. Sure. I get it. Things like that happen. However, they wouldn't return my bike to East Van for me, and I had to miss a day of work so I could bus out to Langley from east van to collect my bike. I repeat, I had to take a day off work so i could bus from East Van to Langley to get my bike. This was weeks after they first took my bike in for service. The only thing they said was 'Sorry. Its been crazy.' and 'We'll knock off 10% off the bill'. I work in film, and lots of us ride, and I use every opportunity to tell my colleagues what a miserable experience it was dealing with International Motorsports. Never again will they get my business.
