Here's why: Our alternator decided to die in Bradenton, of all places on the Manatee River bridge, so we spent a HARROWING hour on the side of the interstate, trying to diagnose the issue and ultimately calling a tow truck. We were stuck standing on a narrow strip of concrete between the truck (in the breakdown lane) and the side of the bridge watching cars going at 70-80 mph, many of them veering into the breakdown lane (likely distracted by looking at the water or their phones) only to notice at the last minute that we were stalled there (with no electronics and no ability to put on hazard lights) then swerving back into their lane to avoid us, it was unnerving, to say the least. We called a tow truck, and, in short order after placing the call, an angel of a tow truck driver arrived - Scott, of Scott's Towing. Scott immediately ushered us to safety in his tow truck and had us handled and off the interstate in a matter of minutes. We coordinated a drop-off & next-day repairs with another really nice young man at a repair shop (Cameron at Tire Choice). Now, my husband can fix anything mechanical, and had we been near his wide array of tools, he could have done the work himself, but that's not how the story went. So, after depositing our car outside the repair shop, Scott spent another 45 minutes or so with us, loaning us what tools he had and helping us to determine if there was any quick fix that could be done. When we concluded it was the alternator and could not be fixed on the spot, Scott insisted on driving us to a hotel. He thoughtfully helped us to select a lovely and historic Hilton/Hampton Inn downtown and within walking distance of restaurants and other places we might need as we waited out the repair. His towing fee was SUPER reasonable, very fair, and though we tipped on the tow, Scott refused our offer of an additional tip for his continued kindness and assistance. Scott is one of a kind in the world of towing and beyond - just a really good human who really cares about helping others, and we highly recommend him and his business if you find yourself in need of a tow.

He yelled more about how they can't charge mileage correctly without a full address and they lose money because of these apps all the time. It is not the customer's responsibility to make sure you make money. I cannot correct the address on the app. It will not let me choose the closest building. Also, maybe don't yell at people who are calling for help? I am not forcing you to work.

Was desperately trying to find someone who would be able to come to me to install the new tire without getting towed to a shop. Was having no luck whatsoever. I called Burke's to see what it would cost to be towed to his shop and have the new tire put on. They went out of their way to save me money by coming to my home, picking up the wheel and the new tire, putting the car on a jack stand, taking it back to his shop to mount and balance the new tire, then brought the wheel back with the new tire installed and put the wheel back on the car for a rate that would have easily cost me $70 more to be towed to a shop and have it installed. They are a one stop shop for all auto needs, and I will likely be ordering the other front tire from them. I would recommend Burke's to anyone with auto needs. Geico's Roadside Assistance located them as my local towing company when my car broke down, having starter problems. Due to a back log of prior jobs, my ETA was 90 minutes, and then this was extended to about 160 minutes. After the long wait the tow truck driver, Trey, arrived. When directing his truck to my car, we got in a minor "fender bender", resulting in waiting for the police. after 2 hours waiting, the police dispatcher basically said they weren't going to show, as insurance information was already shared between parties, and they wouldn't be able to do anything anyway. they were experiencing a number of crashes due to panicked drivers hurricane prepping. Upon a quick inspection of my car Trey was able to get it started in less than 5 minutes. he apologized for the wait for police, saying if he had known the issue before hand he would have fixed it while we waited for the troopers who never showed. It was a quick fix that isn't going to hold, so he advised I get it to a shop as soon as possible. I will be trying their mechanics despite the questionable reviews because my interaction with Trey was exceptional.

They don't answer calls, they don't return messages. I had to go up there everyday to get answers. They will lie repeatedly to you about when you vehicle will be done then when you get it back it will be messed up. My vehicle was in better shape before the accident. The paint doesn't match. They used a totally different white, they didn't connect wires back , blown taillight on a "new" taillight, they damaged my headliner also. They could care less about you or your car. It's basically a chop shop.
