This location is by far the worst I've been to. They have horrible customer service almost every time I go in for my ring inspection. These ladies won't great customers and just keep on passing by without any regard to you standing there. This last time I had to say "excuse me" but was then very rudely told that "we are very busy as you can see...you need to wait for someone to become available". She didn't apologize for the wait and was so unprofessional. This is the 3rd time I have gone in to this location where these ladies lack customer service. I've spend a significant amount of money in this store to be treated in this manner. The location on San Pedro has been better but overall it seems Jared Jewelers is not what it used to be (speaking from someone who has been a customer for 15years). read more

I didn't buy my wedding ring at Jared, but I brought it in for repairs--twice. I spent around $500, and both times the work didn't last. When I returned again, they quoted me another $400 to fix it. Only at the last minute did the sales manager mention a $280 protection plan that would've covered all repairs going forward--even for jewelry not bought at Jared. Why wasn't this offered earlier? This lack of transparency and empathy was incredibly frustrating. I expected better from a company with their reputation. If you're considering repairs at Jared, ask about the protection plan up front--don't assume they'll mention it. read more

Always amazing experiences here! Dolly the manager was a saint! We purchased our wedding ring and band here with engraving. They came out perfect! 2 months later we moved to New Hampshire. Husband needed a smaller size and of course engraving once again. The Jared's in New Hampshire was HORRIBLE, after two times trying they could not replicate the engraving for some reason. I was furious after the THIRD time they said they cannot do anything else and claimed that the engraving company was no longer being used. (Which was engraved at Jared's San Antonio, which was very much still open, obviously.) Well I contacted the Rim Jared's where we initially had everything done. And Dolly said to ship it on over and they would take care of it. And they did! Dolly and the engraving team did the job that Jared's New Hampshire couldn't do. You walk in and you are greeted like a king. They offer you water and also offer to clean any jeweler you may have on. They are very tentative and offer any an all help they can possibly think you may need. Once you give in and become a buyer say bye to all that. They do have some of the best jewelry and diamonds in the business don't get me wrong about that, BUT be ready to be let down tremendously once you buy. Customer service goes right out the window. I bought my fiancé her engagement ring with the 'my perfect proposal' packaged. Included everything under the sun. When it came down to getting the appraisal done I took it in. Sneaking behind my fiancé's back since I hadn't proposed yet and getting the ring there. Only to call later on to have them tell me my fiancé's ring wasn't appraised because the appraiser simply forgot. Not to mention they couldn't find the ring when I went to pick it up. They assured me I would get refunded for their mistake. They never called me to reschedule the appraisal since it was 'refunded'. Only way they found that out was when they called me to take in the ring for the 6 month inspection. Thats when I told them their fault in not appraising it in the first attempt, never calling to reschedule it (since it was refunded) then finding out later when they finally reached out for the 6m inspection. Yesterday was finally our appraisal appointment and we get there only to be ignored for the first 5 min. Be told our ring would have to get picked up next day for the re-sizing and that the appraisal person was not there and they would be right back. End of the day we had it all done in 1 hour with some big attitude and stern demands. After getting home they emailed me my inspection receipt with the completely wrong customer name on the receipt. BUYER BEWARE. Don't be fooled by the rainbows and butterflies they paint you in the very beginning. They will switch up on you. Also they have no place to put reviews like google or on Facebook. They answered all the questions we had and they also have a play area for kids which was perfect for our little girl. I went in to Jareds at The Rim (San Antonio) to buy a Pandora charm for a gift. I was so impressed! Everyone was friendly. Zeina helped me and was a joy to work with. She listened to what I said and didn't show me other things I wasnt there to buy (I hate that). I had a budget to work within and she was so helpful and patient. She looked up all the prices and was not fazed at all when I had to look at EVERYTHING before making a decision. Zeina was a pleasure to talk with and made my experience there fun. I even saw something I wanted for myself (but didn't buy). The transaction was smooth and the other salespeople there even talked with me. I am also impressed bc they were open when most stores had closed due to the COVID-19 thing. They have hand sanitizer everywhere and are doing extra cleaning during this thing. I had the best experience at Jared this past weekend. My boyfriend had proposed to me on a Sat. night with a family heirloom and I was anxious to get it resized the next day. In fact, I was leaving on a flight the following day, so time was of the essence. Jared has jewelers onsite to resize and fix rings, so I knew I should go to them verses a jeweler that sends the jewelry offsite, which would've taken longer. I arrived around 12:30PM and they had my ring ready at 4PM, about an hour before I was to be at the airport! They sized it down from an 8 to a 4 3/4, and did a beautiful job. They made sure all the stones were secure after sizing the ring down so much, and cleaned it for me. It was a bit pricey, more than $130, but I was happy with the service and the end product. My now fiancé said because of the great customer service, we will likely go back there to buy our wedding rings. Big thanks to Dolly who helped us with the whole process. read more

I have to say, I had one of the best experiences EVER in this very store and it's all because of Cheri. My beau and I are looking at engagement rings and we had a ton of questions. She was unbelievably informative and so kind to the both of us. She answered all of our questions and gave us her true knowledge and experience with different metals, etc. He has his grandfathers ring, which we thought about incorporating into a new band. She explained each and every way we could do it and the pros and cons to all. She must have spent an hour with us. They fix it each time but will not allow me to swap the chain for a different kind. I visit the store once every 6 months for the warranty service on my earrings. Every time I have stepped into the store, I am met with friendly welcoming faces. I'm always surprised that they remember me and what brought me into the store the very first time, which was a job promotion. I have shopped at other jewelry stores. The first time I walked into this location a couple months ago I swore I would never return.... I had to take my yellow canary 2.5-carat diamond in to be remounted. In trying to explain to Brooke that it had fallen out she looked at me rudely and commented, "Do you even have insurance?" Her disposition was both unprofessional and unacceptable. I tried to maintain composure and asked for another employee to assist me. However, Ms. Brooke continued to go back and forth from client to client. I then asked how much 4-cart total weight stud earrings would cost, she interrupted and said hesitantly, "$80,000". I was not only embarrassed by her comment, but the undertone was quite evident (way beyond my financial ability). After we finally completed the repair request documentation I asked if they would inspect other pieces of jewelry I was wearing. The inspector Gloria assisted me and found my jewelry needed to be repaired due to lose diamonds on my 9-carat bracelet. I asked if she would inspect the other wedding ring I had on (3 carat princes set) and Gloria commented that they could not because it was an item from Kay Jewelers, and they were not allowed to inspect it. I was taken aback by this comment since I have been a customer or more than 15 years......Gloria asked Brooke and she too refused making me feel again uncomfortable. I then just excused my request and took it to my personal jeweler in Corpus Christi (Michael). The time came to pick up my items and I discussed the issues with my personal jeweler, Michael in Corpus Christi. I mentioned to him what I had experienced and he apologized. He was not only deeply embarrassed but apologized on behave of the Jared company. He then took the initiative and found me 4.25 carat total weight studs. I shared with him that Gloria had inspected my jewelry and later found out through Michael that the items they had repaired in San Antonio were still loose. Michael repaired my jewelry and had the items sent to San Antonio store for me to pick up, a more convenient location. Which I greatly appreciated.... On April 3, 2019 I went to pick up the items at the RIM location and as I walked into the jewelry store, I felt very uncomfortable and dismissed by the same people, management and employees. I was delightfully greeted by Dennis, who introduced herself. I explained to her why I was there, and she assisted me. Initially I was skeptical, but her demeanor was jolly and eager to assist me. I felt so comfortable with her that I later came back and purchased two watches (Bulova and Rolex). Dennis is a clear example of a true servant leader. She went above and beyond in assisting me and voiced the importance of my patronage. I look forward to continued business with Dennis as my personal jewelry in the San Antonio area. I am confident that she will be a huge asset to the Jared company. I personally highly recommend Dennis. I expect that she and Michael will be recognized for there service to both Jared and customers. I apologize in advance for this lengthy but necessary communication. As a customer for many years I feel that its unfortunate that one must travel out of town to be treated as a valued customer. Even though I live in Laredo and in San Antonio I have made the trip to my personal jewelry in Corpus Christi with much satisfaction. Personally, and as an existing entrepreneur (private businesses owner) it is our moral obligation to service the public in an equitable manner. I purchased an 8 $800.00 bracelet there in August, when the bracelet which was supposed to be under warranty broke they said there was nothing they could do. My husband bought my engagement ring at another state and I have to come in and get an inspection every 6 months. Ever since moving to SA two years ago I've had nothing but issues with this place. I went in and did my monthly inspection and the lady said a diamond was loose on my band and that I should leave it, I asked if I could come back since I was going out of town and didn't want to leave it there. She said it was fine so I left. I got home and realized she didn't print any sort of slip which I usually got. I called and asked the lady if it affects my warranty and she said no and it's not a problem and then told me that I didn't have to come in every six months and that everyone thinks they do but it's not necessary. I told her that didn't make sense cuz your sign a contract. Despite that comment I am still going to bring it in. I came in the other day and I lost a diamond and the lady says that she would fix it this time but next time I have to bring it in for the inspection. I was confused and told her I did come in for the inspection a few months ago and that I don't have to come in to fix a diamond only when it's time for the inspection and that I can bring it in whenever and she started to argue with me. The next day I went in Sunday to pick it up and there's a hand written sign they posted on the door that says they are open at 1pm instead of 12. So I waited 15 minutes and noticed many people coming and seeing the sign and having to leave. Then once 1pm comes around I get out of my car and someone crosses out the 1pm and puts 1:30pm. Absolutely ridiculous especially when you see people waiting outside. I'm not coming back to this location. I have nothing but problem when I come and every time I've come in, EVERY time they ask me where the original engagement ring was purchased cuz it's not documented. They should keep a record of all that. read more

Extremely rude. My wife had bought a watch from here several years ago. It never worked right and we took it in for service under warranty. A month later she called and was told it would take three months but to come in today and they would talk about a replacement. The manager Sean Jordan told that there was no way she was going to get a replacement today. A call to corporate HQ was no more productive. We will never go here again. read more

Typically, when you walk into an establishment you are greeted or at least acknowledged in some way...well not a this location. I waited over 30 minutes before taking it upon myself to go up to someone, anyone and let them know I was simply there to buy a charm; I was told someone would be with me shortly. After another ten minutes of waiting, I approached another gentleman who was not busy and asked if I could please just buy a charm so I could be on my way. I understand being busy but when there are maybe 4 customers in the store and the staff appears to have no urgency to tend to anyone else, there's a problem. If this specific charm was not exclusive to Jared's, I would have left after the first 20 minutes of no service. To add insult to injury, I'm paying for the charm and ask about a gift receipt. The gentleman tells me that it's too late to print one out but I can give the recipient the transaction number on the receipt and they'll take it from there. Really?! Being that it's close to Mother's Day, shouldn't one at the very least, ask if a gift receipt in needed? Needless to say, I will never return to this location! Very poor service! read more

Their employees demeanor is very positive indeed. However, I cannot say that the quality of their merchandise is up to par. I purchased a very expensive time piece (thousands of dollars). I had problems with it within 6 months of purchase. Jared did not stand behind its "customer satisfaction guarantee" (as it is posted in the store). Yes they sent my watch out for repair for me but charged me over $140 A few months later, problems again. The store never offered to replace the timepiece or to pay for repair services. I had to contact the manufacturer myself and supposedly no charges for the latest repair...we'll see! read more
