My fiancé and I love this place. We always work with Jamie, and sometimes Gerard when Jamie is not available. My first story is about my engagement ring. My fiancé went to Jared's with my mother and his mother. My fiancé had a diamond (passed down from my grandmother) and wanted the perfect setting. He found one that he like, however the ring was not available in Platinum. Jamie assured it could be custom made if that's the one that he liked. It was absolutely beautiful and Jamie was extremely helpful. She got the ring made extremely expedited. It must have been two or three weeks (a job that normally takes well over that). Jamie not only met expectations, but far exceeded them. My mother then wanted to take the remaining diamonds from my grandmother's passed down setting, and make a custom ring. My mother literally drew out what she wanted and Jared's made it happen. It came out absolutely beautifully. Since then my fiancé purchased diamond earrings for me for our wedding day, a watch for Christmas, and got our wedding bands done there too. Mine needed to be custom made to fit my ring, and my fiancé got a platinum band. I have also gone there to get three pieces of jewelry (from my grandmother) repaired. They do a beautiful job and they guarantee their work. Every time we go to Jared's they are warm, friendly, honest, NOT PUSHY, and always willing to find us a discount somehow. We absolutely adore the staff there and will never go anywhere else. Kudos to Jamie for being a wonderful sales lady, but also a wonderful friend that we can trust. read more

I wouldn't trust Jared with any repairs. I don't know why they are so successful. If it was a neighborhood store, it would go out of business. Resent visit: Came in for screw backs for my earrings. Girl was very nice. Gave me the screw back. Went to car to put in. Was wrong size. Went back in to get the right size. Previous Visits: 1)Watch battery change. (worked for one day then quit) I then went to another jewelry store and battery worked perfectly. 2) Jewelry appraisal. Told that engagement diamond was not real. (went to another appraiser, it was real with original numbers inscribed. Went back to Jared. Told me that because it was dirty, thought it was fake. 3) had band of grandmothers ring changed because it was worn out. Had Jared replace band. Band broke off ring within a month. read more

I had an AMAZING experience at Jared on Friday, September 21st, 2018. I went there to purchase some Pandora charms (they were having a special 'Buy 2 & Get 1 Free'). Lauren O'Connell was my Jewelry Specialist & she was absolutely FANTASTIC. She was kind, professional, patience & so warm/welcoming. I left the store feeling like I made a new friend. I appreciated the GREAT service and the EXCELLENT hospitality. Store # 2512 is officially my FAVORITE Jared location!!! read more

I hate this place. Came here for an engagement ring. Waited TWO HOURS. And no one acknowledged us. Truly ruined what should have been a wonderful experience. This is the only Yelp review I have ever written and I'm glad I saved up for this. read more

About 2 years ago I purchased a pair of sterling silver earrings for about $50 because they had sent me a coupon for $50 off of a purchase of $100. The earrings were only worth $50, but I liked them and have worn them many times. Last week the small silver ball that hung from one of them came off. I stopped by the store within a few days with the earrings. When I showed them to the woman at the Repair counter she immediately started in with me that I must have pulled them or done something to them. It was obvious that I had done nothing to them. It just happened! She verified my purchase info from her computer, and then proceeded to tell me she would look up the repair charge. I questioned that because I thought they stood behind their merchandise. She responded that I should have purchased the extended warranty. I told her that no one ever mentioned warranties to me, and I have made 3 purchases at different times. Anyway, the cost to repair my earring was $47.71 or $47.17. The pair cost $50; one was broken. I asked her if she heard what she was saying??? She said yes and then tried to sell me the extended warranty for $20. which was good FOR THE LIFE OF THE EARRING! At that point I knew I was not talking to a rocket scientist, and I decided to cut my losses and leave. Conveying this saga to a friend on my way home, she recommended a jeweler that I was going to pass enroute. I had never been there before. Without saying a word about what happened, I showed him the earring, he took it, stepped away, was back in ONE minute, handed it to me with instructions not to use it for 20 minutes and would not, under any circumstances, accept a dime. He said, "For what, a drop of Crazy Glue". And, here's what I learned. Jared in Lake Grove rips the public off in their pricing and they rip off their loyal customers, too. That is unconscionable read more

Terrible! Scammers! Do not go here! Brought my 11 month old ring in for a clean up and was told that the prongs were worn down and needed to be reset for $2100 or I could pick out a new setting. MY RING IS ONLY 11 MONTHS OLD! Disgusting business practice. Will never go here again and I will spread this message to everyone to warn them. read more

DO NOT step foot in this location. My fiance purchased my engagement ring on the Jared website and ever since, I have been using this location. When it came time to buy my wedding band, i came to this location and Bouja helped us out, then she booked my appointment for a week later to size my wedding band and engagement ring, note: she told me i would have to be there for the entire appointment start to finish so they can size the ring to my finger properly. On the day of my scheduled appointment to have both my wedding band and my engagement ring sized to fit my finger, my appointment was at 12. The girl that was helping me, Bouja, came up to me and said (exact words) "so i have to push your appointment back because last night we had an emergancy come through and her diamond is 2ct. (mine is smaller)" so i told her that i had an appointment and that i also needed my ring to be done. she said 20 minutes and we will start yours, so i agreed. 45 minutes later she came back to me to let me know that i was going to have to wait 3 hours for my ring to be done and also they hadnt started my ring yet because they were still working on the other womans "2ct diamond". 2 hours later after being frustrated, i got up and went to go check on the progress of my ring. A nice girl behind the desk said to me "im sorry bouja told you you had to stay for 3 hours but we dont need you here at all" and then checked the lab to see about my ring and walked up to me and said here try it on, i looked down and it wasnt my ring she had in front of me so she took it back and they continued to search for my rings. When they finally found my rings, she had me try on my engagement ring. When i did, it was BIGGER. The technician woman came out and said this is the size that was written on your appointment, it went from a size 6 to a size 6.25, when i needed it to be 5.75. So multiple attempts after that to make my ring the right size, after melting my ring down 4 times to get it to the right size, they finally got it. The girl who helped me the week before, Bouja, wrote the wrong size on the paper. I advise you to NEVER go to this location EVER. read more

So, just figured I would share the nightmare that I have been dealing with since I got engaged in September: my fiancé got my engagement ring from Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry in lake grove. The ring he bought was a 6 1/2 and he had it sized down to a 5. (No one mentioned to him the damage it could cause bringing the size that much lower) My engagement ring has stones on both sides of the band as well as under the band. The 5 was still big on me so I went a week later to get another holder to keep the ring in place bc I wanted to enjoy having it for a little while. Time went by and I noticed this past December that a stone was missing from the halo. I went to Jared immediately and they said they would fix it no problem and I also finally asked for them to size it down to a 4 1/2 which is my size. They told me to come back a week later which I did, they had me wait 45 minutes before coming out and telling me that all of the stones are falling out from the ring. So I cried lol I was devastated bc the ring that my fiancé picked out for me was falling apart. They told me that they would order me a brand new ring that was custom made to my finger I said "ok, but if anything else happens I want to return the ring" and the regional manager that I spoke with named Chris, said "ok" so they told me it would be in by Valentine's Day so I had to wait two months. I got a phone call yesterday that my ring was in and to come by later in the day, then I got a phone call ten minutes later saying it's the wrong size, that they got another 6 1/2 and I would have the same issue of sizing it and having the stones fall out. So I tried to return the ring bc it's been a nightmare with Jared that I just don't want to own any jewelry from there and now they won't let me return it, they won't compensate me at all, and they told me I had to wait until the middle of March now for a new ring. So they keep screwing up my ring and I just have to sit here and let them! I'm super frustrated about everything!!!! I just want to return it! My fiancé agrees with me, I don't know what to do at this point. They think they're doing the right thing by ordering me a another one but it's just absurd at this point bc I haven't been wearing a ring and it's just a lot of stress and I just feel like the customer service there sucks! No one seems to care enough to really help me, they just keep saying "well, we ordered you another ring" but they're making me wait 4 months now (since beginning of December- now March) I just want my money back and they can take back the damaged ring !!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Went into the store to ask a simple question if they carried a particular ring I was interested In. The woman who was at the counter was helping another gentleman but once she finished she completely dismissed me. She acted as if I was not even standing there and when I asked for help she said she was busy and walked away. I Was very turned off with her terrible customer service. However, another woman finally came over to me and was very friendly and very helpful and answered all questions I had. read more

Poor quality jewelry, even worse customer service. We went to the Lake Grove store on Sunday to have a $1300 bracelet, which was only worn twice, repaired. There were no customers at the repair shop but were told we would have to wait twenty-five minutes anyway. We had to leave the bracelet and tried to pick it up Sunday. At 12:00 we were told we would have to wait twenty minutes to get the bracelet from the repair shop, which again had no customers. Bad enough the bracelet broke but their practice to have the customer "feel free to look around" instead of servicing them is a ploy. We left without the bracelet. Never again!! read more

I will NOT shop in this again. My fiancé and I went into the store looking for an engagement ring... we were one of 2 customers in the store.. We browsed all the rings looking at 3 employees behind the displays talking about their evening plans. My fiancé had to ask for assistance. After explaining what we were looking for, she basically said that would not "look good". I had described a wide band white gold solitaire diamond. She explained the wider the band, the smaller the diamond will look. I understood this but she insisted on showing us what I really didn't want. The " gemologist" came over per the employees request, to discuss diamonds with us, but she then says upon coming over that she was leaving for the day. No apology, nothing... we left the store, and will not be stepping foot in there again.. This store is for you if you don't care about service. Oh- we are not kids that can't afford an expensive ring.. we are over 40 years old. So we don't look like kids just fooling around wasting their time. read more

The Gemologist that assisted me during this whole process was a complete professional. I went in with my future Fiance in Feb of 2013, just to browse and for me to get an idea on price. Aseia was amazing. She taught me what to look for in a diamond, the 4-C's and showing us the differences between diamonds. I left confident but without ring, letting her know my timeline of when I would be buying. I went to a few other places and immediately after I left they were calling me weekly to get me to come back and buy. Aseia never pressured me with calls but when I walked back in almost a year later she recognized me and remembered exactly the ring we picked out. Helped me with getting rewards for my purchase to use on wedding bands(that we just picked up from her). I couldn't have been happier as this was my first foray in the jewelry area. I feel confident i made all the right decisions and my Fiance is extremely happy with how easy this went and I will be recommending everyone who is looking for jewelry to Aseia. read more
