I ordered a wedding ring from Jared .I will never do business with Jared again..my ring was supposed to have a blue stone when I got it the stone was clear so I called and they said that happens alot the pictures are deceiving. If I could give it less than one star I would. After having to resize my ring twice they sent home with me with the band smash together Cuts in the actual band part and diamonds loose. Then kept it for another week without updating me or even offering any sort of compensation. I still haven't got the ring back they say it should be in tomorrow. He was pretty hot headed and it seemed so abnormal for upper Management to respond the way he did!! When I asked his name he said My name is Jeff and that he was the store manager! I bought a Tissot watch from Jared's for my wife several years ago. We had the battery replace at Jared's and it died again after just a few months. It sat in the jewelry box for several months. I kept forgetting to take it in and get it replaced. Finally this past Christmas, my wife asked to get the battery replaced. Upon taking it in, they found the back was not replaced properly, the seal damaged, and needed further repair. It was sent in and returned with an estimate to clean and replace damaged parts. I spoke with the manager and discussed damage and timeline of battery replacement that caused said damage. Long story short, Jared went above and beyond in the cleaning and replacement of battery. They took care of me. They have my business. read more

I praised Jareds on my initial review, but after a month and seeing my first bill, a lot of things that were "promised" were not honored and a lot of things that appeared on the bill were never mentioned. We feel like we've been "hustled". Made to believe we were getting a better deal than we were just so they can bank the commision. Before my husband passed away at 36, he bought my engagement ring, wedding ring, his wedding band, emerald and diamond journey necklace, 1200 diamond necklace for wedding day. Pandora bracelet full of charms, diamond watch, pearl necklace ,pearl earrings and pearl bracelet, diamond bracelet, diamond ball necklace. Jared 's not only doesn't care about you , they will go out of there way to treat you badly. I took my pearl earrings to have them cleaned. Went to pick them up the next day and they had completely taken the black paint off. Instead of black silver earrings with white pearl , I had only silver earrings.....they had accidentally taken the black off. Jareds was less than compassionate . I wanted them to guarantee the black that they were going to paint quickly back on there . Kevin said he could only guarantee it for one year. So he got his manager , Mike chancellor and he was so rude to me . I told him the earrings were very meaningful to me . My husband had passed. And he told me nothing last forever. He pointed to my wedding band I was wearing that we purchased from Jareds. He looked at me and said , "nothing last forever. This ring won't last forever." Worst customer service in the jewelry business. My thousands spent and possible future business means absolutely nothing to your organization. An associates failure to record our last cleaning and inspection has caused my diamond wedding ring that has a chip in the center stone, and has three cracks under neath my diamonds on the band to not to be covered for replacement. I guess we should have went to the local competition Shane Co where I know they take first class care of their customers. At this point I think we will replace her wedding ring with one from a 1st class jeweler. Thanks to the associate at the Jared location in Overland Park, Ks for not keying our inspection into your system in May, which caused us to be three weeks over for our warranty. been shopping at Jared for some time know and took my wife's ring to get it re-sized the technician there looked at the ring at sized her ring and was so impressed with the ring because it was an old platinum and we told him we have been told it can't be resized but he assured us it can be done they will have to send it out of the store and will get it done, we said great paid for everything in advance and told us 2 to 4 weeks. that was the good part........here comes the bad: waited over a month and called to check on the ring they didn't know why it's taking longer then a month will have somebody call you back, another week went by and still nothing I called and was told the same thing. I asked for a manager and all he can tell me is that the ring couldn't be re-sized and that they will have to add a ring inside the ring to make it smaller (which the technician told us otherwise) and it would cost $50 more. so moral of the story is: over a month waiting to find out that they can't do what they promised me unless i pay more money and no communication from there part and I have to do all the follow up. read more

Ok Jared's...you have lost a customer for good! I went to the Independence Center "Jared's " today(where me and my family have always shopped for jewelry) I went there to have a minor repair done to my Pandora bracelet. I had my 2 grand children with me so we all expected a quick fix and off we would go. We appeared at the jewelry repair area and, altho' there was 1 man at the computer and the repair person there.... we were not even acknowledged. We waited while the repair person apparently went to break and the guy at the computer ignored us. A couple of other associates went behind the repair counter and ,again, ignored us...and at this point my frustration was showing. Finally, after 20 minutes of no service we left. I took my Pandora bracelet to "The Jewelry Dr." inside the mall and had it repaired for free. This incident, along with an issue my son had in trying to place an order online from Jared's has shown me that they just do not care how the customer's feel and they do not appreciate the business. I found an item I liked at Jared and they told me I could put it on layaway for 20% down and monthly payments to cover the rest. I was told that I had 12 months of payments, but when I was asked to pay the first monthly payment i realized that the numbers didn't add up. I did the math and realized that I was on a 9 month plan and I pointed this out and he called over his manager and they blamed the computer. They didn't offer to help me fix my plan or anything, they were just like oops now you have to pay it off in 9 months. Extremely unprofessional. Definitely will not be returning. read more

I needed a ruby earring replaced and had been checking out different jewelers. On 07/10/18 end up at Jared and Bernie asked the standard probing questions "How much did you pay?", "What were the other quotes?" and so on. Unlike the others he needed me to leave the earring I did have for 10 days. After a couple of weeks or more and no call the wife was PO'd. She also thought nearly $1600 for a single earring was a bit much. She went to cancel but found they had it. When she asked Bernie why we didn't receive a call he said "Well, it says the promise date was on the 20th." That means nothing to us, a call when it was ready to be picked up would have been nice. Also, I had dropped off the earring we did have in a small plastic bag. That is exactly how we received them back, in the same plastic bag. On top of that there was no certificate for the stone we bought. I might as well have been making the purchase on Craigslist or Ebay. I called Bernie on 07/25/2018 about the certificate and he said they don't have certificates for rubies, only diamonds. Come on! Seriously?! I've bought alexandrite jewelry in touristy areas of Alaska that came with a certificate. He said he would contact the supplier and call me back on 07/26/2018. Of course he did not and on 08/02/2018 I called to speak with Bernie to find out he was on 'vacation'. I'm sure there is more to come and will update this review. read more

**Buyers, please beware!! ** Jared is not the place to spend your thousands of hard earned dollars. We purchased my engagement ring there for over $5k. Come to find out (the hard way) they are DISHONEST sales people with ZERO MORAL COMPASS! They flat out lie to your face about financing. I started receiving calls from their collection department 1 month before my actual due date because of their screw up. I am a loan officer so I am knowledgeable in this area thankfully and had it resolved after a lot of stress and time wasted on my end. We were in the process of buying a house and that could have been a deal breaker if it had reported late because of JARED ERROR! On top of that in-- the beginning before the 30 day return grace period was up (how convenient) they engraved my ring at no cost knowing that I would not be able to return it at that point. Shame on me for night reading the fine print on their website... I thought that would be something disclosed on my paperwork the day we made the biggest mistake by buying the ring!! HORRIBLE COMPANY!
