There was a balcony outside and we were right on the river. We thoroughly enjoyed just sitting and watching the river spill over the boulders, it was amazing and even the sound was beautiful . We ate three meals at the restaurant There were three of us so nine meals total and everything was delicious. Entire staff was so sweet. But there was something we had not considered, we were going to be going to a place that required us to be fresh and ready to receive the wonder of place by a lack and we only had the energy for an angry stop at a gas station. So this place I visited when I was tired and that kind of gunked up the experience. If I would have gone with more energy to fully open my eyes than this experience would have been wondrous. When I booked the reservation I did it because it was a place by a lake. I enjoy water front dining and I usually use an ocean for scenery and today I was in a place where I could use a large creek. And since I was not going with any specific expectations that lake hit me like a bucket of wow. I remember like seeing the mouth of the lake going down like actual rocks. Like I was seeing the waters that people raft on with commitment to the outdoors. It felt like I had traveled into a place where trees were purest, bird melodies were the only noise in town (besides the water running in the creek), and cabins belonged to those who called the mountains home. I was in a novel and for some reason I felt like it was written by Twain. And that is really what I can say about this place. That is mostly what I remember the beauty of the creek. I wanted to spend more time there, I could have walked it, they had like a lounge but I did not. But I do remember the forested view that went on, and the roaring, jagged leg being a central character other than that I have small things to say. I remember the salad being ok. Denise and I shared a dish, I can't remember why but we did not eat the whole thing. It was inherently bad. But this could have been an off night, or just not the dish of the place, and really you go here for the lake, and the food was great in some ways just not in this specific way. I went to this place a few weeks ago, and, if I had not make it clear I remember the experience of being with the lake. So go here for that experience and let the rest just fall into place.

Have seen so many people talk about how amazing the bbq is so my husband and I stopped in today…read more Unfortunately the first red flag for me was them using a microwave to heat up my food. We ordered the brisket, pork belly, Mac n cheese and chili beans. The brisket had good flavor, was tender and juicy but still needed bbq to give it that extra kick. The pork belly was okay but greasy in my opinion The Mac n cheese was inedible. It was literally buttered noodles with barely any flavor with cheese and oil floating at the bottom of the dish. The chili beans had amazing flavor but unfortunately the beans weren't cooked! They were still very chewy not cooked through all the way. I wanted to like this place so bad but unfortunately it fell flat.

I came to pick up my order, and I felt like they knew their customers. There's a couple seats inside but not sure if a lot of people actually dine in. Unfortunately, their ramen just left a lot to be desired. The chashu pork and broth are okay but felt like they needed more flavor. The egg was definitely overcooked. Being the only actual ramen place in Hanford, I get why people rate it higher. I'd just rather get my ramen fix when I visit socal or the bay.

Great tasting ramen!…read more My family and I made this place a pit-stop for dinner on a Sacramento to Los Angeles trip. Our original target was the Fresno location, but due to a GPS entry error, we ended up at their Clovis location! It was a little longer drive than usual, but still well-worth the drive. And besides, we were on a family long weekend break so who cares about distance... Our orders were quickly taken on the counter and we were off to find our table. A lot of places to choose from inside and outside seating was also available. And the place was nicely decorated and well-lit! Feels comfortable to dine inside! The menu was quite expansive. And you even have the choice of minor changes to the regular menu. I ordered an Oxtail Ramen...a first of this kind for me, so I just had to have it. And it passed with flying colors! Weird ingredient...but absolutely tasty! And at a really affordable price range! You just have to try our this place when you're in the area! You will love it!

The first time I tried the tonkotsu ramen as takeout and gave it 2 stars. The noodles were soggy from the start and the broth just didn't hit the depth of flavor I was expecting. It felt like something was missing. This time, I dined in and ordered both the spicy miso ramen and tonkotsu ramen, plus a side of chicken karaage. Eating onsite made a difference right away, the noodles held up and the overall taste of the ramen was significantly better. The spicy miso ramen was good, but I was honestly hoping for a stronger miso punch and a bit more heat. It leaned a little milder than expected, though still enjoyable. The tonkotsu this time was better balanced than my first visit. The chicken karaage was good as well. Crispy, light batter, juicy inside really solid fried chicken. I personally would've liked a squeeze of lemon and maybe some Japanese mayo on the side to elevate it even more, but that's just preference. Overall, I feel like this place redeemed itself on a second visit, especially dining in. I'll need to come back to try more of their specialty ramens.

They were both super knowledgeable and made us feel extremely welcome. They even had a special printed menu for our table with a birthday message that made it that more special. That is exactly what happened during my recent dinner at Elderberry House. I visited with a group of four, and between us, we had two gluten-free diners and one vegetarian. After a quick heads-up the day before, the restaurant handled our needs with total ease. We went for the five-course tasting menu, and it was incredible from start to finish. We kicked things off with one of the best oysters I have ever had, followed by a beautiful tuna presentation. The kitchen even looked out for our gluten-free friends with a special version of their herbal-butter focaccia that was actually delicious. By the time the main courses arrived, I honestly could not decide if I liked my beef or my friend's snap pea risotto better; every single bite was pure perfection. The cocktails were another high point. My first drink was great, but after chatting with our server, Jordan, I decided to try the Last Word. It featured that hard-to-find green chartreuse, and I am a little annoyed to report that I have a new favorite cocktail that requires such a rare ingredient. The service is what really made the night so special. Jordan was so charismatic and helpful, making sure we were perfectly taken care of all evening. He was so good that I almost worried a second visit would not be the same without him, though the rest of the staff quickly put that fear to rest. Abby was so friendly and responsible for a truly unique but perfect-for-the-vibe playlist, and Chris the mixologist even stopped by to geek out about gin and cocktails with us. From the genuine care for our food sensitivities to the clever touch of the iPad check-in hidden in an elegant binder, it was a night for the books. I cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to bringing my family next!
