Staff is fairly disinterested. Then the food. Everything that was supposed to be cold was like warm. Including the sushi. Of which the rice was decidedly not sticky, making for fall apart scramble. The one hot dish I ordered was dumplings, obviously deep fried......to death. Then cooked a bit more. Blisters on the dumpling skin gives it all away. Conclusion? If I could rate lower I would. Without hesitation. But alas, I'm out of time and I've got to go find a dumpster to raid to get this less than pleasant taste out of my mouth. Eat here at your own risk. The only upside I can see is that if you have never had sushi, then even grocery store sushi will be a pleasant surprise if you try here first and are still adventurous enough to give things another try.

The rice is very good, it's a shame the chicken was over cooked. When we placed our order it was just after 8pm and the places was a wreck. No one to come out and help clean the dirty tables off or throw the straw trash (or even silverware trash) away. My hands were sticky!! The woman working the register with either her eyebrow or lip pierced had a sour attitude and had no sense of respect. Safe to say I will continue to eat at Seasons of Japan in Brunswick before I eat at this location again!!

I was genuinely excited when Sakyura opened. It's always great to have another restaurant nearby,…read moreand during our first few visits, the food seemed promising. My husband especially enjoys the sushi--it's fresh, nicely presented, and has been consistently good. The gyoza is also decent: crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside. And the noodle dish I've had several times is good. That said, our more recent visits have been disappointing overall. I ordered the pho tonight, and while it had a ton of noodles, the broth was almost completely lacking in flavor and there was barely enough of it to call it soup. Pho should be rich and aromatic, and this just didn't hit the mark. Took a few bites and called it. I've also had issues with the chicken in other dishes--it has a very odd, almost rubbery texture that makes it hard to enjoy. We've tried the bento boxes too, and while they look appealing, the meat isn't cooked in the sauce--it's just spooned on top, which leaves the dish feeling disjointed and almost like a microwave dinner feel. Service is another area where the experience falls short. Even when the restaurant isn't busy, the staff tends to be distracted and not very attentive. They're not unfriendly, just not especially engaged or warm, which affects the overall atmosphere. There are definitely some highlights on the menu, and I still think this place has potential if they can improve the consistency and refine the service. For now, Sakyura is a hit-or-miss experience--but we're still hoping it turns into the neighborhood gem we were excited about in the beginning.

We joked about the health options in a little town like Jesup, where much of the diet is probably fried or smothered in meat fat. Then I saw a sign, no really, a sign for a natural food store. With no knowledge of the town and little cellular service, I figured I'd have to miss out on an opportunity of this sacred place. Lucky, a little bit of bad directions bumped us right into Garden of Eat'n, a natural food store right off the railroad tracks in Jesup, Ga. I was in need of tea tree oil, and Walmart did not have it, but of course Garden of Eat'n had 10 different types! One of the managers was very helpful in pointing us to the tea tree oil and offering other uses for the natural oil. I also grabbed some Jason deodorant and Tom's toothpaste. Everything was reasonably priced. There were organically grown produce, about six freezers full of whole food items, a wall of Fort Negrita-esque periodicals and a few mini isles of non-perishable natural foods. I'd like to think of it as a quickie mart for green-life lovers. The store is humble in style and atmosphere, and you can't beat a local grocery store. If you are ever randomly in Jesup or northeastern Georgia and you need a veggie burger or a fair trade coffee, visit Garden of Eat'n. Get more about green living www.fortnegrita.com
