We went in to get the 20% off everything as per their only to find it didn't apply to a "hot deal" item for sofa & loveseat. When we did close the deal, the sales rep charged us the higher price (oops her error when I pointed it out..). I arranged for a delivery date by their people and it was delivered defective (center section of long sofa cord wouldn't connect due to damage.) It's been a week, and I've not been able to get a straight answer or date for a tech to even come out and see if its reparable. Back & forth to their claims Dept. & store. Once I told her what I was looking for (I am preparing to move into a newly constructed home), she put me in touch with Deanie the designer, and JoAnn the sales rep. Thanks to Kelly, JoAnn and Deanie I was able to furnish the first phase of my furniture plan. Deanie and JoAnn worked to ensure everything "fit" the space in terms of style, color, and size. They're so well prepared that if you come in with your floor plans and paint colors they will make everything just "work." You won't be disappointed with the Dover team!!! Nice furniture but was unimpressed with the customer service. Had no problem buying the furniture. Afterward though I am having problems getting my furniture. Stuff that is supposed to be available isn't there. The stuff that was in route they can't tell me when it will arrive. Called CS and they make you feel like you bugging them when all you want is a real status. Will never go to the showroom again. Will rent a donkey and cart to pickup. This business has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced! You can't get through to live people using their phone system- if messages are left they are not returned. I ordered furniture in August and was told part of my order would have to wait until late November as it is on back order. No problem! Come mod December I tried calling to no avail. Finally got a person from Laurel store who helped transfer me to Dover store. The person tells me my chairs have been delayed until October 2022 (10 more Month wait!) . I asked why no one called to inform me and she had no answer. I was told I can come pick out other chairs yet they won't match the table and server I already have. I am out of state but went into store and still no one could help me . I was going to buy a couch and asked if they would discount and after like an hour and two different managers they told me they could take $70 off a 2000 couch! I went to Macys and got a nicer couch for cheaper! Will never go to JJ again! read more

Highly disappointed in the lack of customer service today. My husband and I went in to start getting some ideas as our house is in the process of being built and we plan to purchase new furniture for every room(five bedrooms, a dining room and two living rooms). We walked around the entire facility, sat and talked about a few pieces and even took pictures. Being in there for roughly 45 minutes and not a single person working there spoke, asked if we needed assistance/had any questions or anything. I did not want to give a one star rating to a Store I was never in. I wanted to buy a leather couch and a love seat. I only have one or two days off a week, and This store is closed on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday every week. I know that in business you have to make choices on when you're open based on sales and whether or not it pays to even open your doors on a certain day. I just can't imagine that losing a potential $4000 - $5000 sale was worth being closed. I would imagine that one or two sales would be enough to keep your doors open. As it is I'm off to a different store to spend my $$. read more

This place has the worse customer service. Walked into the store with my family and was ignored for over an hour. Found my own pieces and had to find someone to help me as a group was lounging over the front couch section. Service once have a sales rep was unbelievable. Had a sales poster falsely advertising prices. Finally after multiple pushes had them honor it. They delivered my furniture after 12 weeks and it was a mess and disgusting. Black finger prints and old dust all over white furniture so much so I could write my name in the furniture and it looked almost yellow. They incorrectly delivered the order and didn't take back the incorrect chairs which have now been sitting in my house cause they refuse to wiggle with delivery times as if everyone works a 8 to 5. Managers, Directors and above have yet to return my calls or emails and then I get a damn invoice for them. This place is a joke. They damaged my home and "submitted a claim" and have yet to hear from their 3rd party delivery vendors. I now walk into my bedroom and see this scrap across my hard wood floors. Going on almost 6 months now. Strictly asked for their truck not to pull into our drive way due to it might crack part of the concrete more they refused and pulled in anyway. Guess what cracked my drive way. Spent over 8K here and I should have just gone to Lazy Boy directly. The reviews are true to this place. I'll be taking all my future business elsewhere. Customer service has a LOT to be desired. I came here today in hopes to find a desk and I wanted to gift a reclining chair to my father. I just recently moved here from out of state and I was shocked by how poor customer service is. The lady clearly did NOT care, didn't help me in the slightest, had no interest in getting to know me and build a relationship and I was shocked considering im sure they are commission based and make most of their income off of sales. She didn't take time to show me things or explain the differences in chairs but was more "okay you look around and I'll be over here!" On top of that, the wait times are drastically long(not her fault but didn't make the situation any better.). The outlet store was MUCH better as far as competitive pricing and by far much better service! I would check that out before this place. The prices are expensive(considering it was just closed for months on end, the economy is tanking, its close to a major holiday and they expect you to wait months on end) overall not worth it!! read more

I am so frustrated that don't even want to give one star. On December 4, 2018, we purchased a full bedroom set, a leather couch and love seat for the living room and an accent chair. We received the bedroom set within 2 weeks and was told the living room set would take longer, and would be delivered the middle of January at the latest. We were fine with that, Upon purchase, we put down $3,000.00 and financed 10,000.00 total. The middle of January came and went, so we decided to call to check the status. I spoke with Elizabeth, which was our sales person, we were told that there was a delay with the trucking, and when I questioned her about that, because I am in construction and know a little bit about trucking and delays, she corrected her statement to say the ship was delayed and she had no further information and would check on the status and call me back. Once we didn't hear from her within a couple of weeks, I decided to call the store and speak to a manager. I spoke with Will this time, who used this opportunity to tell me about his delivery problems and told me that if I looked on the back of the invoice, delivery could actually take anywhere from 2 weeks to 16 weeks, and that I should know that because I should have signed and initialed that. I looked on the back of my invoice and it DOES state that, but I was never told that and I didn't sign or initial that. IF I was told it could take up to 16 weeks, I never would have gone through with the purchase. On February 12, and a promised call back from Will (which we never received), I called back again the next day and was told Will was out of the office until Sat, February 16. I called again and spoke with a sales associate ( I don't know the name) but told us that it could be the end of February or the first week of March, will no real information provided. I received a call from Steve (a manager) the same day because he was in a meeting and he advised me that he contacted someone and he told me that it would be in the manufacturer's warehouse within a week and he would call me back. 7 days later, my wife called and was told that it looks like the furniture is in and he would call us within a day or two with a delivery date. We didn't hear back so we called again and was told the furniture was in Lancaster, PA and he would call us back either today, February 25, or February 26, but wouldn't be able to provide us with an exact date. At this point, everyone at Johnny Janosik has shown us how little our business means to them and we are no closer to getting our furniture or being considered as a customer at all. Looking at Yelp now and their facebook page, I find it very difficult to believe that they have an A plus rating with the Better Business Bureau. read more
